I discovered Camogli in 1969, when I was a teenager. I bought a small house with an awesome view on the hill over the village and yes, that's home for me. Anyway, Camogli is not only the small town with its harbor, the "Isola" (Ile: the elevated rock with the medieval Assunta church and the castle that until the XVI Century was actually a tiny island), the colorful houses and via Garibaldi with the people walking along the beach. Camogli is also made of some small villages like Ruta, San Rocco, Mortola and the famous San Fruttuoso: a few houses and a X Century abbey in a beautiful cove with blue-green transparent water. Camogli is also an access to the national park of Portofino: a natural protected area located among the municipalities of Camogli, Portofino and Santa Margherita with more than 50 miles (80 km) of hicking trails on the Mount of Portofino and a marittime protected area. From mid July to the end of August and in the week-ends the villages of Camogli and Portofino are very crowdy. My suggestion is to avoid holidays and to come in May, June, September or October.
What a treat! I just returned from my Saturday workout at the gym and to see such an awesome video, it’s just wonderful. We wanted a seaside town and you brought us one. It looks like everyone is at the beach because it also looks like a very hot day. Towns in this areas look quite similar. Camogli looks somewhat like Portofino and Santa Margherita. Although in northern Italy, they are still considered in the Italian riviera. I will watch video again tomorrow. Thanks.

It wasn't the easiest of walks due to the hot wave and many people around as my rig is quite large and quite.... "noticeble" we can say. Strange looks around) It indeed looks a lot like nearby towns but it's a kind of a small gem and not so famous as Portofino and Santa Margherita. I filmed another sea-town nearby and a walk at dusk also in Camogli (SO different...). It's a very lovely area. Camogli in Liguria looks beautiful even on a scorching hot day! It seems like it would have been a great day to grab some gelato and then cool off in the clear blue sea.

Aber ich habe auch abends gefilmt, also war es so anders. Die Besserung ist langsam, aber alles wird vorübergehen... Ich bin immer in deiner Nähe. Am Ende war ich, wie Sie sehen, nur für kurze Zeit in Ligurien und konnte nicht in die Berge gehen. Aber ich werde zu Weihnachten hingehen. Ciao Geraldine, also here) Goshhh I had for sure after. It wasn't easy for sure... SO hot.. but worth it. Also filmed at dusk) So different. From time to time I upload these "crowdy" walks. La belleza la si può trovare in una città vecchia, con le facciate scrostate e semidiroccate, basta che sia a Camogli, in riva al mare. Dal drone, Camogli appare come una città moderna circondata de alti edifici, a picco sul mare. La Liguria d'estate è un dono di Dio. Le sue spiagge sono indimenticabili. Un vecchio osserva il paesaggio, sogno di molti, da un'antica finestra, cosi come le statue poste nelle ricchie della facciata della chiesa di Santa María Assunta. Città per giurare amore. Pomeriggio sereno, come il leggero dondolio delle barche appoggiate sul mare. Un faro è sempre un faro, anche se esistono moderni radar e sistemi elettronici di posizionamento globale. Una sirena prende il sole sul lungomare. Anatre, gabbiani, tutto ciò che un bambino adulto vorrebbe vedere nel mare. Come serà entrare da quella piccola porta del Castello della Dragonara? La Basilica Minore di Santa María Assunta è davvero sensazionale. La spiaggia è costituita da un'ampia piscina e presenta un litorale lungo e piacevole. Bellissimo video. Era come respirare una grande boccata d'aria fresca, vicino al mare. Saluti.
