My favorite weapon in Monster Hunter has been the Hunting Horn for a long time, because there's nothing like bashing something to the ground, then styling on it with sick beats while it's down.
The armor pieces used Valhalla's Call is basically the meta HH set except it uses the Diablos HH instead of the Rampage one. Kaiser/Vaik/Valstrax/Anjanath/Ingot is the base for just about every meta set imaginable. The one major exception is LS, which swaps Vaik out for Barioth for Quick Sheathe. Sound of War and The Mixtape basically uses the OTHER meta armor set for weapons that need the white sharpness for maximum power.
Yeah right now the baseline for meta builds is very much unity across alot of weapon types. Then it changes fom there depending on the Talismans each player has at their disposal. Though there are quite a few that differ now aswell. Bazel Parts for CB & GL, Anja chest for GS, Azure Age chest for IG & DB if it can be fit in, etc.. But in the end, Kaiser/Vaik/Valstrax/Anja/Ingot o. Hunter, can still fit the bill for pretty much anything & yield a very good result. Time to pray hard for more variaty in Sunbreak lol

That's a realy good point man! 👍🏽 The set for the healing+para Rampage HH is a good option to get familiar with the weapon, while being a huge asset to your team at the same time.
1:36 how do you change the melodies for the hunting horn? Idk why mine has health recovery, health regen, and earplugs even though it's the same hunting horn.
You have to change the Melody at the Blacksmith. Go to Ramp-Up Weapons -> Set Rampage Skills -> Choose your Rampage Hunting Horn -> Go to the 3rd Slot (Bottom option) -> Select Attack Melody

There's another choice instead Bazel horn? I got no Wirebug talisman so i put a 3 attack + 1 jewel socket. On the sub you say Bazel si a solid start so i suppose theres a better choice. Just to know i've made all the other build too :D If you compare tiger claw with sound of war what you think it's a better build?
Nice ! :D Bazel & Tigrex are the best starter options, and still good in late game. You mean Tiger Song ? (Tiger Claw is a Switch Axe Build :D ) In terms of wich has the better Damage output, it's defenitely the Rampage Hunting Horn Builds. So Sound of War & Tripple H. The other 3 DMG Builds are very close behind it. And then the Healing + Para in last place for Damage, but in 1st place for allround support ^^

How would build around the chameleos or rakna-kadaki hunting horns. They're 2 of my favorite monsters in the entire game and would love have a build around them
I would most likely use both of those Horns with the Mixtape, or the Alliance Build. To be honest both of them arent that great..But if you like their designs i would just make the Rampage Horn and then give it the Chameleos or Rakna design ! :) You can get the same songs and it will be way stronger overall.
It would, but you defenitely want to drop the Sinister Gauntlets & the extra Handicraft Deco then! I'd recommend using either the Valstrax, Rathalos, or Anjanath Arms insted. All 3 will allow you to fit in more ATK Boost, or any kind of comfort skills you like having 👍🏽
Depending on the Build Valstrax braces can almost always be exchanged for the Rathalos ones. You will then in change have to get Weaknesexploit via Decos if you can ofc. For a Silkbind HH setup literally all you need is Wirebug Whisperer Lv 3 (and preferably ATK Boost as high as possible).
Nice vid but how or when do u change the ramp skill for Duo Horn? I crafted the Bone horn before and activated ramp skill „attack boost“ but it doesnt Show up if i would craft duo horn I.
Build 6 - Triple H. And if you have some Talisman that allows you to get atleast Handicraft Lv 3 into that Build, then you can do what i mention in the video and run that Build with Sharpness Type I on the HH insted of ATK Boost IV. And if you dont like the risk that comes with activating Dragonheart, then it's gonna be Build 2 - Sound of War
A Hunting Horn that is especially good at healing you mean ? Sadly not realy. The Rampage Hunting Horn is the best one for Healing right now. It's fun to use with the Kushala Blessing, but sadly that wont help the other teammates. Maybe we get some more Healing Horns in Sunbreak.

Don't select the craft option, select the Upgrade option and the rampage skill will carry over. I learned this the hard way making the bullfango HH...
