What do I do about the Guard/Guard Up decoration slottage? From what I've read up on, guarding skills lessen the natural guarding properties of guard-based weapons. On top of that, I'm destined to figure out why blocking of any sort absolutely decimates my health defenses. I'm uncertain as to what I should do.
Hey 🖐🏽 Not sure were you got this information, but Guarding Skills definitely dont lessen the natural guarding properties of guard-based weapons! It's the exact opposite. They simply increase guarding capabillities across the board with 0 downside to it. If guarding decimates your health i'm curious to know wich Level of Guard and/or Embolden you are using ?🤔
@@YokaiNox I'm doing everything by the books (max Embolden, Guardian, and Guard/Guard Up interchangeably). Dragon Con is basically a Trap for Lance Builds due to 1 main reason. Lance gets alot of value out of conventional Skills like Crit Element, Burst, ATK Boost, etc. In order for Dragon Con to measure up, we would have to have Furious Lv 3 aswell, wich is a given thing on most other weapons. But going for both Dragon Con Lv 3 & Furious Lv 3, is simply to expensive for it's value here, when compared to what we can do with conventional Skills insted. So we'd actually loose DPS when going for it on Lance.
I'm a bit confused, but every "raw" damage lance option you showed was a status lance, poison, blast, etc. Are actual raw damage lances just not good or something? Is there one that stands out as useful?
That's just how things developed after the "Buildup Boost" Skill was addet. Since it directly increases Raw DMG by 10%,15% or 20% for hits that apply Status, Raw Weapons with Status simply outperform pure Raw Weapons now. There are only veeery few cases were an actual "pure Raw" weapon still makes the Top 3 for Raw DMG weaponsin it's category 😅
@@YokaiNox I see. Thanks for explaining! Kinda sounds like they undertuned raw weapons a little, really. Whether that was intended or not, is a different story. Lol So the poison is more overall dps than the blast? Given that you only showed that for your max damage build, rather than the handful of choices for the block centric build.
@@shaunperron7080 The reason the Poison weapon comes out ahead of the rest, is because of the other Skills that also synergize with it & basically come with the parts for free. Cham Blessing Lv 3 (Double Poison Duartion on Monster = more DMG over time) & Foray Lv 1 (+10 RAW ATK while the Monster is poisoned - Wich ofc automatically benefits from Cham Blessing's double Poison Duration) These would have 0 effect when running a different status, like blast.

There's actually a very good option for you at that point. If you did the Follower Quests you should have access to the Royal Order Lance. You can combine that with the full Teostra Set, wich you should be able to get in the next Rank.
I'm hr 251 and 152 anomaly tryna follow your builds now but I obviously don't have access to the attack 4 I'm looking at your sns video and this one and can't decide which weapon I want to use lol you make all your videos compelling haha😂 do you think I can use virtue braces for the time being for the extra attack until I unlock attack 4
@@REPENTturn2Christ The struggle of having to choose from too many fun options can be real in MH 😄Yup, You can definitely run the Virtue Braces as a substitute if you want 👍🏽
Is it possible to avoid Atk Boost for defense? I find that DPS is far higher if you can take more hits and hit more often instead of taking time to heal.
You definitely can if you want to. Though Defense Boost is considdered as one of the worst Skills to use on Lance Builds^^ Since we literally have the biggest & strongest Shield in the game to hide behind at all times :D I'd recommend nerfing the ATK Boost down to Lv 4, And using the rest for Defense Boost then. That Should already be enough to get you to well balanced spot between both 👍🏽
@@YokaiNox ah you're awesome. I'm still learning so I still get sent flying or when I don't guard on time, I take huge chunks of damage. I will take your advice.
Bloodlust makes you loose life before you cure the infection. Is it really fine to combine it with peak performance ? I assume its fine once you cure the infection, but does bloodrite really help maintain peak performance even when you haven't cured the infection ?
recovery up and gourmet fish cancel it out. then if you play solo bring hinota with hunting horn as she plays the hp regen song which is basically the same as gourmet fish.
Yeah, Bloodlust is nothing to worry about when it comes to Peak Performance 👍🏽 With Bloodrite and all the other tools at our disposal, Peak Performance will still have an uptime of 90% or higher. Bloodlust is also incredibly easy/fast to cure in general, if you make use of the Leaping Thrust. If you also bring NPCs like Hinoa or Minoto (as mairain6443 mentioned aswell), you can outpace the health drain of Bloodlust, due to their very frequent healing even more. You'll be fine with just Bloodrite aswell though, if you prefer to go full solo without NPCs.
Hey there 🖐🏽Sorry bout the late reply, was out of town for a bit. What you're referring to is the "Leaping Thrust" It's a Switch Skill. It's simply a dodge/hop into an attack. Insted of explaining it here, it's actually far easier to just look at it yourself in the Traingroom & When choosing Switch Skill👍🏽
Talismans with Skills like Buildup Boost, Mail of Hellfire, Frostcraft, Strife, Berserk, Dereliction, Dragon Conversion, Furious, etc.. can only drop from Vigor Melding. So it's rng based. Luckily Mail of Hellfire isnt that rare though.
As explained in the Video lol 😄 If you have the Endgame melding options unlocked, all you have to do is use Cyckus melding & choose Guard. If you have enough melding materials you can get one super fast. Guard 5 /2-2-0/ is super common. & Guard 5 /2-2-2/ is like a 6/10 rarity. Not difficult to get at all.
@@REPENTturn2Christ You have mutiple options to get some Healthregen there😊 You can lower/change the Guard Skills & add some Bloodrite. Or the simpler method when fighting an afflicted Monster: Just take a physicsl hit on purpose while you have Intrepid Heart. That will give you Bloodblight for Healthregen and you'll be back at full Health in no time 😊👍🏽 It's a great method for Lance, because we can activate Intrepid Heart super fast with the Lunging Thrust.

@@carrieschmidt1780 Luckily Level 1 is the sweet spot on Buildup Boost already. So aslong as you have 1x Lv in the Build, you are good to go👍 The rest can follow later.
The most efficient way is to actually just foucs on grinding high tier anomaly investigations. Pick one that is fun to you & that you can consitantly complete in a reasonable time of your liking. I recommend sticking to investigations with 1 or 2 monsters as target. More is rarely worth it, due to some of the shinanigans that happen between the monsters & also the the occasional bad luck with HP modifiers.
@@beetogarcia9983 No worries, we'll figure it out👍🏽A few wuestions first: - Are you using the correct Rampage Decos? - Playing on the correct Scroll ? - Have the Weapons fully Augmented? - Triggering Offensive Guard correctly for the 15% Attack Boost ?
Just the Endgame Anomaly Grind for hours & hours & hours😄 Luckily some of the most relevant ones for endgame set making like Crit Eye 3 /2-2-2/ for example, arent hard to get at all and can make up for other crazy rng dependet charms. But stuff like Buildup Boost, Frostcraft, Mail of Hellfire , etc has no easy answer. Grinding is the only way to do it legit. If you have a anomaly quest to grind out the melding materials, it's not as bad as it might seem though. But in the end, it comes down to how lucky you get either way.

@@benyankin6466 This is honestly super strange.. It's the first time i've heard this happening to anyone 😳I havent felt any difference myself, but i'll ask around and see if anyone else has come across such an issue. It almost sounds like a data bugg or something similar.
What's the layered set you are using for the raw damage set

Any reason no dragon conversion build for elemental? I haven’t played much elemental lance so I’m not familiar with how the skills stack up for it.
I swear to god, I get so lazy with the lance cos its just so good that I end up carting by playing like a complete idiot sometimes haha
😄 Sounds like something that could happen to me aswell lol
It’s necessary to choose these weapons your mention?
Nope. That's why i say in the video that these are the most ideal options for endgame. You can still pick whatever you like 👍🏽
I'm a bit confused, but every "raw" damage lance option you showed was a status lance, poison, blast, etc.
Lol
So the poison is more overall dps than the blast? Given that you only showed that for your max damage build, rather than the handful of choices for the block centric build.
@@shaunperron7080 The reason the Poison weapon comes out ahead of the rest, is because of the other Skills that also synergize with it & basically come with the parts for free. Cham Blessing Lv 3 (Double Poison Duartion on Monster = more DMG over time) & Foray Lv 1 (+10 RAW ATK while the Monster is poisoned - Wich ofc automatically benefits from Cham Blessing's double Poison Duration)
These would have 0 effect when running a different status, like blast.
@YokaiNox Fantastic, thanks! I'm only just getting into lance in Rise, thanks to the Wilds demo. I usually play HBG and some GL, so this is useful information for me. Need to pass the time until full release. Lol
@@shaunperron7080 Haha yeah i feel ya! :D Passing the time until Wilds is out, is like waiting for next Christmas when your 7 xD
I'm gun lance I want to go lance I'm on monster rank 4 any suggestions on what gear I can use in the mean time I just killed gore magala which I'm looking at it 300 dmg 17 dragon 20% affinity, idk what lance and gear to craft right now. If anyone has any idea i would appreciate it because i poke to much with the gun lance, i think lance is my destiny
Though Defense Boost is considdered as one of the worst Skills to use on Lance Builds^^ Since we literally have the biggest & strongest Shield in the game to hide behind at all times :D
I'd recommend nerfing the ATK Boost down to Lv 4, And using the rest for Defense Boost then.
Can you make a stronger dualblades build?

Can someone explain what the lil bunny hop poke that he’s doing is and how to do it?
Hey there 🖐🏽Sorry bout the late reply, was out of town for a bit.
What you're referring to is the "Leaping Thrust" It's a Switch Skill. It's simply a dodge/hop into an attack. Insted of explaining it here, it's actually far easier to just look at it yourself in the Traingroom & When choosing Switch Skill👍🏽
Surprised you don't mention the Flaming Espinas lance.
I do mention it in a Video note here😄
@@YokaiNox Sorry must have missed that my bad.

How do i find a talisman with buildup status or mail of hellfire? they arent even in the chosable ability for talismans crafting
How did you manage to get that guard 5 3 slot talisman?!!!
As explained in the Video lol 😄
If you have the Endgame melding options unlocked, all you have to do is use Cyckus melding & choose Guard. If you have enough melding materials you can get one super fast. Guard 5 /2-2-0/ is super common. & Guard 5 /2-2-2/ is like a 6/10 rarity. Not difficult to get at all.
How are you getting health back with the last build with derelictionn

How do u talisman farm?
The most efficient way is to actually just foucs on grinding high tier anomaly investigations. Pick one that is fun to you & that you can consitantly complete in a reasonable time of your liking. I recommend sticking to investigations with 1 or 2 monsters as target. More is rarely worth it, due to some of the shinanigans that happen between the monsters & also the the occasional bad luck with HP modifiers.
How are you doing so much damage 😭
Im using the builds but not doing the exact same
@@beetogarcia9983 No worries, we'll figure it out👍🏽A few wuestions first:
- Are you using the correct Rampage Decos?
- Playing on the correct Scroll ?
- Have the Weapons fully Augmented?
- Triggering Offensive Guard correctly for the 15% Attack Boost ?
Bro how the F did you get those charms? Hacking?
Just the Endgame Anomaly Grind for hours & hours & hours😄
Luckily some of the most relevant ones for endgame set making like Crit Eye 3 /2-2-2/ for example, arent hard to get at all and can make up for other crazy rng dependet charms.

No, it's not fake. Of course re-rolling Skill in a Gacha System isnt fun if you have bad luck with it. But it's not cool to call my content fake, simply because of that man.
Sometimes you have to re-roll 400-500 times lol That's just how it is in final form Endgame Builds. It sucks, but that's how it is.
