Thanks Ajahn Brahm. You told this story (26:07) a few weeks ago at a Friday talk and it pushed me over to forgiving someone his debt which he hadn't discharged for two and a half years. For whatever reasons, I suppose he just couldn't pay it back. He had problems with others with regard to paying back money loaned. I exonerated him from this debt and sent him the IOUs with the notice that these were cancelled by me. I feel so much better, now. Thank you for that small push. Love.

//Last kiss: I'll never forget the day my mom called me in a panic "Janna, you've got to convince your daddy to get rid of that horse, its gonna kill him!". Major (AKA "Major Deal" as mama named him) was a young and vicious stallion when dad bought him. He "couldn't be broke". The men who owned him previously had used a technique to break horses that involved beatings and tying his head tightly between two posts where they left him standing without food or water for 4 weeks. Major stood strong. When dad brought him home, he barreled through five strands of fence within minutes of arriving and he'd Bite and strike at anyone within distance. My dad never broke him.... he earned his heart. Every single day, for hours and hours dad worked to earn that abused horse's trust. Love won and after two full years, Major allowed my dad to ride him. When dad would go out, Major would kiss him on the head over and over. They had a bond that only horse people could ever understand. It seemed only fitting to let Major say goodbye. This is Major's last kiss.

I want to talk about my disappointed experience. I am Korean. I live in Pusan, South Korea. I met one monk who insists that he is a disciple of Ajahn Brahm. But he was't a nice monk. He was not in korean buddist order. And he was not a follower of Ajahn Brahm. And he pulled dirty money at a secluded spot. He was a fortune teller with various method. I want to disclose his bad behaviour.

I'm a Buddhist from Indonesia. Excuse me, please let me correct this. In Buddhism, heaven is heaven (and we have many heavens, you can search about The Thirty-One Planes (bhuṃ) of Existence). Nirvana is a condition where u reach your highest stage of the whole life (the Karma from the previous life helps you to get into Nirvana and this is NOT an easy process. You must meditate to reach the enlightenment). Hell also exists in The Thirty-One Planes. Hope this can help your understanding. Thank you.

With all due respect, eating one meal a day is not from Ajahn Mahabu who live in Thai Lan , this practice has been 26 centuries up to now Eating one meal a day now in modern day we all time restricted eating or intermittent eating which has became the most popular diet for weight loss Eating one meal a day make you age faster? Sorry that is not what I heard from a lot of scientists say The Buddha wisdom already see the benefits of time restricted eating 26 centuries ago and now we just copied what he knew

Why did his wife feel that he loved her less by visiting the brothel? Is he or she not capable of loving more than one person? Should one be forgiven for loving? That is what happens in the conditional word of the human animal 🦓.

    • @michigandersea3485

If you're married, you've promised to be faithful, unless you've agreed otherwise. So right off the bat, it's a betrayal of trust to visit a brothel. In Buddhism, I understand it's generally fair to say that focus on sexuality is to be minimized
