    Nice video...thanks. It has been very helpful to me. As you did, I am also replacing my B1 valve cover gasket (+ plugs and coil packs) as I don't want to ever have to go that deep in my engine again. I have heard it goes together faster than it came apart. I hope so :) I love your idea of stacking the washers on the plenum bolt so I can get a wrench on it if I ever have to remove the plenum again. Good job of filming as well.

    Great work and very useful detailed explanation of easy and difficult parts, also helps me plan a shopping list for the gaskets!.. Question did you change the injector O-rings or could you leave the injectors in the engine?

      I just did this job on my 2000 Lexus ES300. On my vehicle there is a single fuel line that goes from the fuel rail down to the fuel filter and there is a quick disconnect that connects the fuel line to the fuel filter. I disconnected it there. Then you can remove the intake manifold as a whole assembly with the fuel rail and injectors still mounted on the manifold. This way it isn't necessary to disturb the injectors. Note that the engine will not start immediately the first time because there will not be any fuel in the fuel rail. It will crank for about 10 seconds and then when it starts it will run rough for a while until all the air is purged out of the fuel rail.

    Bruh.. why the fuck is every video for this job yal have half the engine already tore down?? How the hell are we supposed to know what to take off the car if you start a “HOW TO” video with 80% of the job already done!?!?

    Nice video!
    How did you remove old knock sensor harness from main sensor harness lock? What are the exact steps and moves to unlock the old harness?

    Nice job. Did you have a hard time removing harness connector from the engine side. How did you do it? I am doing the same job and finding it hard to remove the harness connector. Thanks

    What is the hose above the knock sensor?

      It 's the coolant by pass hose.

      Omar Aziz did you drain the antifreeze before removing manifold?

    What happens if you get a little antifreeze/coolant in the holes (intake) when taking it apart ?

    • @joevignolor4u949
      @joevignolor4u949 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nothing. The engine will just suck it in the first time you start it and blow it out the exhaust.

      Did you have to drain the coolant all the way before starting the job? Only replacing the gaskets and knock sensors

      I'm a retard and he actually did a very good job, very informative and the camera moving was just stellar first person action, I almost felt like I was the one doing the work.
