    I am a 66 year old woman, retired now but worked all my life and was a bit of a fashion, shoe, bag and hair snob! I learned more watching this video about face shape and hair hacks than I ever did anywhere else!
    Wonderfully done, helpful and professionally presented. Thankyou!

    Wow! I'm 65 and I've never understood how women are supposed to know what hairstyle suits them, and what really, really doesn't. Thank you so much for the whole of this video, and particularly being willing to show us what a huge difference the wrong parting or style can make on your own face. I had no idea! I will be doing this today to see what I need to do. I am beyond grateful to you.

    I just turned 50 last year and was diagnosed with leukemia shortly after my birthday in March. I’ve been struggling a lot to find the energy to still “look good” even though I’m not so good and your videos have given me sooooo many great ideas of simple things I can do to still feel pretty in spite of my health issues. Thank you so much for that!!! My hair is almost as long as yours but I don’t have as many layers. I haven’t had it cut since my diagnosis but I’m going to now that you’ve helped me understand how I need to have it cut. I won’t part it in the center though!!! 😂

      fabulous50s Thank you!! I also ordered the book you mentioned You Can Heal Your Life. When I was looking for it on Amazon, I saw another on by Louise Hay titled Heal Your Body and I ordered it too! A chronic illness affects the body in so many ways, I thought the book might help me eliminate at least a few. 😁

    yes! i’ve done this in the big bathroom mirror before. fun excercise. i just want to mention that even though we may have known the shape of our younger face it’s worth checking again in our fifties. I think a lot of this is personal preference and not everyone needs to aim for an oval shape. Most styles are flattering to an oval, but it’s totally fine to play up any shape face you have! People just get used to seeing their face a certain way with hairstyles they have had had for many years. But lots of styles are suitable for your face shape, ladies! Play and have fun!

    Oh my goodness! This has explained soo much!, I could never, ever figure out why certain hairstyles just didn’t work for me. I have a very similar face shape to you , with the same eye colour and skin tone too, yet I’d NEVER considered the symmetry ( or the lack of it!) of my face. The whole explanation of where to have the volume and the placement of a parting is simply a revelation! I’m 52 , but neither of these tricks had ever occurred to me . This has made an enormous difference to my look and given me confidence too. Thank you soo much xx

    I have a heart shaped face too! In the past year or so I added bangs to cover up my forehead wrinkles, which worked but according to your video I was sweeping them over to the wrong side of my face. So I’ve been trying to get used to sweeping them to the other side since watching your video plus not just pulling my hair back into a ponytail but pulling it to the proper side also. I was in the grocery store yesterday, I live in the United States, and had no makeup on but did my hair correctly and saw a friend I hadn’t seen in a while and she immediately said that my hair was so cute and she loved it! Made me feel good 👍 Thanks for the tips! I’m also enjoying the workout videos and have made a playlist for them. Keep up the great work and thanks again!

    Great video!! I'm so glad to see this info spreading around that world for those who are interested. As a hair stylist, I learned these tips decades ago and shared them with all of my clients. I just love showing people how to look their best with clothing, jewelry, hair styles, makeup, and colors.
    A couple of things I would add are:
    Square faces look best with a soft wave, but not too much width. The wave softens the square lines.
    Round faces look best with height (think of a bang going up off the forehead in an ocean wave type look). Also layers are the best friend of a round face. It's best to avoid short bangs and width. Think of bringing hair higher, not wider.

    WOW!! I cant agree more with the other ladies here. Your videos are so informative and your approach is not only thoughtful but so kindly stated. You are so peaceful. I've watched what feels like 100's of hair gurus on tv over the years and in youtube land and NOT ONE explained it the way you just did. I always watch waiting for that aha! that never came. Like most every woman, my face is lopsided. I am over 50 and look horrible with short hair. I've been told by other women (most especially by those with short hair) that women my age should not have long hair. PEESHAW!! I have always struggled with the bangs, no bangs, the part, layers ... etc. I now know what i need to do and which side to part on. FULL of gratitude!! THANK YOU!! xoxo

    Love this - I have veeeery similar asymmetry in my face (except quite a bit worse), and it took me ages to figure out that this was the only hair part that doesn't accentuate the fuller, lower, droopy side.

  • @pbelle6263
    @pbelle6263 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Loved this, it answered many things that have always confused me! One question: how do you apply your techniques if you have significantly different volumes of hair on the left & right side of your head?? It appears you have a fairly uniform amount of hair all over, but I seem to have noticeably less hair on the right side of my head, as well as a bit of a cowlick at my right hairline. I think maybe I should do a different side part, but wondering if it will work if I part right to left, thus moving hair away from the side that is already thinner?

    I'll definitely try the mirror trick. I cannot figure out my shape as correctly as you are pointing out here...I do believe that assimetry is a major player in our hair style choices and few people adress this. TY darling 💗🌷💗

    Wow! Fascinating!. I've reached my 70's and never has anyone been so clear about how to analyse the shape of my face. I think I've always been aware that my face was not quite symmetrical and now, thanks to your clear and detailed explanation I can discover just where things are 'wonky'! Thank you so much. I'm off to trace my face shape onto a mirror and, ust maybe, I'll be able to change my hairstyle with more confidence!

    I have an asymmetrical diamond shape face. I've never understood why I can't wear a middle part. Now I know why! I feel just like you when I try it. I always quickly change it because I can't stand to see myself that way. Lol I also now know why it looks better parted on the left side rather than the right side. Great video!
