Ranking McDonald's Entire Menu US vs UK | Food Wars Tier List
Harry is so right about the Double Cheeseburger, That burger is God Tier for me. Once every few months I just go into a McD, order 4 double cheeseburgers, say no when they ask if I want fries with that, and just feel in heaven. Later in the evening, when I am actually processing them, I might think: "never again". But then, a few months later.... There is just something about it: the ratio of bread, meat, cheese, ketchup and pickles... it is just perfection.
Totally agree. Only thing I still get there and I always get at least a few.
I have sent a couple cheeseburger at my local McDonald's in USA.
I know exactly what you all mean but I think with price hikes over the passage of time this is no longer a thing. Back when they cost 1.29 this made sense as you could get 3 or 4 of them for around £5 Now they cost £2.29 if I want 4 of them its costing closer to £10. Not a significant amount of money for eating out, but it makes a difference and there are some much better options.
@@randyroo2 fully understand your view here, but note that I am not mentioning price.I live in a country where this tiny burger costs about 50% more then in the UK. Also, I dont even think the Double Cheeseburger is the best burger in the world. Not even remotely close. But, its composition makes it the perfect fast comfort food in the world to me. And sometimes I just need that 😃
I prefer the McDouble, just because it's so much cheaper, despite the only difference being 1 less slice of cheese.
The fact that the tierlist isnt on a computer and an actual board makes it even better.
when they brought out the mini board for the sauce tier list I lost it
pretty fancy comp-work to co-ordinate them across the two studios.
It’s definitely giving some major Top Gear “Cool Wall” vibes.
Easily pleased or what
Harry is right on the Double Cheeseburger - its just the absolute perfect ratio of everything
36:00 "It's a Malteser. But what is malt?"
Malt is the product of roasting malted barley (malting is encouraging cereal grains to sprout through humidity and temperature control; this causes the starches to convert into complex sugars which imparts a slightly caramelized taste), then soaking in hot water to make a malt liqour, then reducing this. It is added instead of water to make biscuit dough, along with baking powder to introduce CO2 bubbles to the dough as it bakes.
You know your shit.
This guy malts
Love that it's a physical tier list and not just a graphic added in post!!
Thanks for watching!
Couldn't agree more; If a McDonald's double cheeseburger has been freshly made, cheese properly melted, then it is the best burger on their menu.
I work at McDonald's and in the past 2-3 months we have rolled in new procedures which means theoretically you should always get a fresh hot burger with melted cheese (more specifically the burgers with the small 10:1 patties). Although your mileage may vary, my store and franchise I work for are absolute control freaks over every procedure, meaning everything is done by the book with no exceptions - as it should be. With these new procedures, it's incredibly difficult to resist a double cheeseburger at the end of every shift as it is genuinely such a huge improvement and it's always hot and fresh. The best item on the menu.
the Mayo Chicken here in the UK is S tier for its price and taste its amazing!
exactly you can get 3-4 McChicken's for the price or near the price of 1 mc crispy
@@yeetneet5334 that's perfect for after a few pints I bet 👌🏼 😂
New Food Wars concept unlocked 🔓
next concept unlocked in a few months
Japanese would win. McDs, KFC, Subway all taste better in Japan. Better quality, preparation, service, etc......
I think mayo is controversial considering its high fat content too, Joe, but I’d personally have to put it in the A-tier. I don’t mind a little extra fat over some sugar but I do love sweet too.
the slander against the McChicken... felt that right in the heart... OOF.
The McChicken on the Dollar Menu was S-tier. The higher price takes it down to a B.
@@woodcider do they have the 2 McChicken for $6 deal near you? Even better is the spicy McChicken but they always load them mfs with so much mayonnaise
I like the idea, but the fact that the dude put the pineapple higher than the McDonald's fries is pure madness
The UK fries suck that's why
These videos are the videos you look at right before u fall asleep and 10-15 years later you’ll miss them
I am SCREAMING at Harry putting the McChicken sandwich at an E!! My favourite thing on the menu😍
When he opened it up it didn’t look the same as the US one. It looked like cafeteria food.
@@woodcider right that thing looked crazy
We dont eat Mcchickens here, never heard anyone order that
Disagree with the cheesy bacon flatbread but the trick is you have to eat it straight away. If it's left for anything more than 5 minutes (like it would for this vid) it degrades in quality pretty quickly. A fresh one has molten cheese and really soft bread, but leave it too long as you've soon got plastic cheese and stale bread
Besides for the hashbrowns it is the only other breakfast item i would order
I completely they are amazing
I've had the cheesy bacon flatbread as a free item in my McDonalds Rewards once. It was probably the worst breakfast menu item I've had at McDonalds, maybe because it wasn't fresh, not sure. but it wasn't good
S stands for "shuu" (秀), which is Japanese for "excellent."
I thought it stood for “superior”, but “shuu” sounds way better!
but the E is wrong amirite? Should be an F
@@gozlemspinaccino f is after e
@@lckittyqueen yeah, i thought of american grades. there was D and F
@@pizzadanitza it means super.
I am outraged how dare you put the cheesey bacon flatbread, triple cheeseburger, mcchicken and mayo chicken in any tier other than S who do you think you are
Go on sis
All these new series are always amazing! I'd love to see more of these.😊
I agree.
McDonalds Coca Cola is S tier for me. For some reason it feels nice when the ice-shards poke your throat and get burned by the Coke's acidity.
One of the reason Maccy D's coca-cola appears to be nice than other is the size of the straws. They deliberatley use fatter straws which apparently has an effect on the taste. Similar to how grated cheese tastes better than the same cheese normally
Right? The fact that McDonald's Coke wasn't even on the list at all, completely invalidates it for me.
as a former mcdonald’s employee they only put half a slice of cheese on the filet bc apparently a whole slice would be overpowering
I feel like mcdonalds cheese is made of literal crack cocaine
@@BostonBluesmakes you want more
Ok this is a good concept fellas
For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.
One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".
Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.
I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.
YES, excellent series idea, the food wars team talking about food is great
Breakfast burritos are definitely the most underrated breakfast item, kinda weird the first time you have it and then you wonder why you keep getting them
Joe you are dead on with the breakfast burrito. I too love them. If i eat McD's breakfast (very rare) i get two of them and a hash brown
The McDonald's breakfast burrito is the saving grace of having to get to the airport early in the morning. You have to have the discipline to having them too often, but they are as good as fast food gets.
This must've been awhile ago , Big Mac and Quarter pounder in the UK is now made with a brioche bun, you can see Joe has the brioche bun and Harry still has the old style bun
I think they filmed it last month. Did UK McDonalds change in the last month? According to google, UK McDonalds changed to brioche on March 20, 2024. This was filmed probably earlier in March
Joe mentioned March when trying the Oreo with shamrocks.
What about the items from Hawaii’s mcdiddys?? We have saimin, spam+eggs with rice or with Portuguese sausage for breaky and also fried apple pie!
McChicken in the same tier as the salads, and below the hamburger is quite funny. Definitely an interesting take, Harry.
Joe 100% right about the burritos! They have no business being good, but they really are! Hot picante!
MORE TIER LIST!
Flatbread is the only thing on the breakfast menu I eat, Harry. It used to be the bagels but since they got rid of them, this is the second best
Bagels are back at some locations. I had a bacon egg cheese bagel this morning in Bloomington Illinois.
@@janetschulz8280 They aren't back anywhere in the UK
@@Hydraas Feeling your pain. The Sausage, Egg & Cheese Bagel was A bordering on S tier. Much sadge.
I like Harrys comment regarding the bacon McMuffin, and I completely agree. If you want a bacon buttie in the morning, go to a cafe or buttie shop, better value and will possibly be better quality.
this is a fantastic concept and i want more of it!
Not on the regular menu but the chicken McGriddle, which they’ll make, is my favorite McDonald’s item of all time.
Not sticking the sauces themselves instead of the stickers is a criminally missed opportunity.
I’m old enough to remember that McDonald’s U.K. once did a really good veggie burger in the ‘90’s. It was a breaded patty filled with sweetcorn, peas and red peppers. I was vegetarian at the time and really enjoyed it.
Guessing it's a bad timing thing but the Quarter Pounder with Cheese Deluxe (and double) are currently on the UK menu
the McCrispy Deluxe is also on UK menus, and it's amazing
The double cheeseburger is perfection! Agreed! Order with extra onions for even more enjoyment!
Harry and Joe are the best! Reason to watch these food videos 😂 👍 I do really missing seeing Nikhail in videos too though. 😢
8:41 not here in Canada. We get a full slice of cheese for our filet and double filet o' fish
8:00 My grandma loves the filet of fish. I do too.
S-Rank comes from testing in the UK in the 60s. A tier students were evaluated by this more stringent standard for special scholarship awards. The Japanese also adopted an S-Rank in schooling to further differentiate "A" students (as in their system anything below a C was a failing grade). S Ranking transitioned to the USA from Japan through video games and other cultural exchange. Some people say it stands for Special or Superior, but I've never found anyone agreeing.
The McChicken is still my favourite tasting mayo for any McDonalds burger - the value sucks though, what they need to do is keep it and reduce the price, the Filet O Fish too.
hell yeah, I feel like I'm one of maybe 1/20 customers that ever intentionally order a filet fish 😂
Mmm double quarter pounder, my favorite (ps if you’re getting the double cheeseburger, you may as well get the double quarter pounder). Best breakfast sandwich is the steak, egg and cheese bagel (jmo)
UKs Maltesers and US Whoppers are vastly different malted milk balls…Whoppers are like plastic/waxy chocolate around a ball of sugary sand…Maltesers are to die for by comparison!! I’d happily try a Maltesers McFlurry ANY day!! 🤔👍
I've watched Joe and Harry eat Mcdonald's like 5 times at this point and it just doesn't get old. They are so dope.
Why do I love ranking videos so much? 😂 Also these 2 ❤
The best items at Maccy D's are/were: Double Cheeseburger, Double Sausage & Egg McMuffin, Fried Apple Pies, Cinnamon Doughnut (discontinued), Root beer (discontinued).
Though, a cold Quarter Pounder with cheese is nice..
Joes enthusiasm is fantastic.
Harry.....well I am worried for any menu with bacon.
I don't understand why he hates our bacon. I've had both and English bacon is fantastic.
love the back and forth with the folks behind the camera on these longer videos
HARRY THE MCCHICKEN IS GREAT! But I do agree the double sausage and egg muffin is elite 😍
In the UK on the McChicken sandwich they use a mayo called sandwich sauce and on the mayo chicken they use a mayo called cool mayo which tastes cheap and pretty sour, they should use the same sandwich sauce on both!
Vibes of the Top Gear cool wall going on here. Great video
The breakfast burritos are indeed S tier! I could eat 10 of them
Joe all of a sudden hates ranch, but he used to love it,is he being fed up by terrible ranch dressings?
I think these tier-lists aren't exactly the way to go but when I started to see them on Reddit maybe a year ago I was very confused but I guess they are the zeitgeist now. I'm a little surprised Joe is fond of the breakfast burrito, but it does have that one-handed driving a car advantage like the hash brown!
UK breakfast wrap probably made it back onto the menu after you filmed this, but the brown sauce version is S tier for me
I think I'd have to say that Big Tasty is on the menu often enough in the UK it should have been included. My favourate McDonalds burger by far. And I'm so happy you put Double Sausage and Egg McMuffin in S tier :)
in the uk when the chease burger was 99p i used to buy 10 on payday and just enjoy them while i worked
Consistency is what most food outlets aim for, but homogenised Consistency, where every outlet tastes identical really puts me off.
Next time you pop to the UK, please get yourself to Hereford, Cheltenham or Shrewsbury and have a BeefyBoys burger
Double Cheeseburger is spot on, pretty much all I ate my freshman year of college, I’m back to the classics now with the Big Mac, the fact that Joe put the fries at B-Tier and not at S-Tier is shocking (they have to be hot out of the fryer though) and the breakfast burrito is a travesty to humanity, Sonic breakfast burrito blows it out of the water
In Idaho, we have the hot mustard sauce. It is absolutely amazing!
I think its better to differentiate in a single tier by order from left. The item that is left most is the best and right is worst. It's just a bit clearer and nicer on the eyes.
McDonald’s fries and coke are the only reason i go there. S tier
The rationale for the half slice of cheese is flavour ratio. McDonald's claim that a full slice would overpower the burger
I got a double quarter pounder that had double sauce, onions and, most importantly, double pickles! Best burger I've had at McD.
I still don't get the brain dead choice of McDonald's removing the bagels they were the best uk item.
BTW, the land air and sea burger has beef chicken and fish plus all the sauces on it
The best thing I've ever had at mcd is the steak, egg and cheese bagel. Never cared for their breakfast items until my dad brought me one of those when i was young and i was gobsmacked by how good it was. Tried it again a decade later and their bagels were now covered in cormeal and didnt have a boiled bagel like consistency. Hoping next time i try it the bread will be good 🙏🏻
I love the cheezy bacon flatbread. Its a compact morning heart attack. Have 2 of them and its a one way ticket to the ICU.
Please do another one of the 32 places to eat in London, it’s 5 years old. We wonder how many of those restaurants survived the pandemic and if there are any new good restaurants. Thanks. We plan on going to London soon.
Tech question: how did they combine the two shots together to make it look like they’re in the same room? I know they’ve comped it together in post, but their desks looks like one desk at 0:06. Very well done.
I've always wondered how these are shot timewise...
Hope a producer replies or something
The half slice of cheese reminds me that with the three slice sandwich packs, you’re sharing a sandwich with a complete stranger!
Food Wars never disappoints love this tier list episode 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hey, Insider Food. I want you to do more Food Wars Tier List episodes
S stands for Hope in Krypton
make this a series, do it for other places like KFC, Burger King, etc.
My favorite duo! I only watch them, no others on this channel 😂
They certainly are the best duo!
Big agree with Joe; the McMuffins are hugely let down by the texture and taste of the muffins
Am I the only one who likes the floppy fries the most? It's like finding a double sized Shreddie!
Chicken selects are absolutely s tier for me. The best non-burger thing on the menu.
More Food Wars, hell yeah Harry and Joe. Also the buffalo sauce is an S tier for me!
The UK round BBQ and Sour Cream and chive dips are being discontinued. They are being replaced with garlic mayo and a sweet BBQ
The lack of mayo is poor. Garlic mayo is much better than sour cream and chive dip.
They should have a spicy mayo too.
@@orientalmoonsI agree!! A mayo/sriracha dippin' sauce would be a nice. It would go well with a lot of the menu items as well.
Also, why are McFlurrys in the UK in cartons and not cups?? And yes Whoppers are a thing here in the US. They look like your Maltesers
It is a cup, sort of, but with a fold down edge. Maybe it's for packaging/plastic reduction? They switched the plastic spoon with the hollow square handle, the spoon is now non-plastic, compressed paper I think.
Gotta add honey or jam to the biscuits!
I reckon porridge is in the menu as much for people who end up at McD's because it's there and they're travelling as it is for people who deliberately go for breakfast. Also because it's super cheap and it counts as 'healthy'.
I've had the side salad because I was travelling and McDonald's was the only place open, and I'm not 5 years old so I eat vegetables. As it happens, if you want a cheap ready to eat portion of fruit or veg, McDonald's will sell you that when a lot of places are shut or much more expensive.
Should add the tier list to the normal food wars eps
Just when you thought you couldn't geekerfy it anymore. Turns out yes you can!!!😂
6:15 thats exactly what it is lol, its just a McChicken sandwich but with a crispy chillied chicken fillet
Wow, your big macs are still kinda big! The Australian ones have shrunk by about 1/3
"I certainly have never ordered one of these"
And you didn't take a bite... so you've never tried it. They're surprisingly good, I've ordered them numerous times.
My McDonald's menu tier list:
S: mcchicken, chicken mcnuggets, sausage n egg McMuffin, iced coffee premium roast coffee, quarter pounder with cheese, mccrispy, muffins, apple pies, mcflurry
A: big mac, filet o fish, soft serve, fries, mcwraps, junior chicken
B: happy meals, other mccafe drinks, cookies
C: hamburger, cheeseburger, mcdouble
A Mighty McMuffin should be:
Cheese
Sausage
Crispy bacon
Fried egg with runny yolk
Hash brown
Grilled tomato
Fried mushrooms
HP Sauce
I love Joe's maniacal laugh towards the apples 😂😂😂
I'd love it if you guys could do a McDonald's Canada comparison. We've got McPoutine, a MUCH larger McChicken (with 50% dark meat), bagel breakfast sandwiches (or by themselves if you prefer), awesome donuts, and a Smarties McFlurry. What's not to love? :)
The Big Mac, the most popular burger is not top.. mind blown! Love the series ❤ keep it going
0:28 "You can see how floppy this is?"
*THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!* 😂😂😂
Thank you 😂
Did Joe actually bite the mccrispy or just open it up, take out the pickles, and put it in A tier 😂
really liked this concept of a video. but one thing to improve. or what i would like to see. is that you also talk about the price or at least show the price.and talk about is this burger a good value? im also surprised no vegetarian stuff on E tier on joes tier
For me breakfast has been superceeded by Wawa's pork roll, egg cheese on an English muffin. You can find the pork roll sizzli pre made some times, but have to ask for the pork roll on the engish muffin made to order.
The producer keeps making fun of Harry and laughing at him.
The burrito at S-tier is spot on!
