Hello, Nice video, just subscribed after seeing your bellhousing conversion plate video. I have the same head torch on my Esab Helmet in Ireland and can confirm that really is a game changer.
Thanks for the sub! Yes it does help especially as I am getting older. Awesome to hear you are in Ireland! I need to get there some day to get back to my roots.
Great idea. Thanks for sharing. I only wish you'd spent a little more time regarding the clamps and how you used them to attach the lite to the hood. Thanks again..
Sorry... that would have been helpful. I have an easier option for you. Use the big paper clips with the wings to spread the metal open. I bet these would work even better, or be more available to most people. Thank you for watching : )
Wow great video just what I've been looking for...like you getting older sucks... I've currently got a torch taped onto my welding helmet works brilliantly...but need something better your idea is perfect thanks for the upload👍
Nice video, what helmet are you using? My helmet has photo cells at the brow above the sheild and on the chin below. Not opposed to a helmet change since I'm in the same situation as you. Thanks for sharing! - Carey
you need to put that its a paid promotion! I could tell right off the bat it was a sponsored video. I bought one of these from Temu for 4 bucks and they dont work very well at all. Amazon even sells them for $12 please dont try to rip off your subs!
Dude your welds... all credibility blown.
It is what it is I guess.

Where did you get the torch in Ireland?
Most decent motor factors sell Durite Torches. Their range includes a similar product as well as an extendable led torch which is very handy too.

Glad you found it helpful. this is now a permanent fixture on my helmet.
Thanks for this! I got one of these but couldnt figure out how to get it on without it interference of the headgear 🤙🏾💯👨🏾🏭💰
Welcome! Try the paper clips with the wings on them. Use them to clamp on the left and right of the hood. I have mine clear of the headgear luckily.
Can it withstand over head welding Spark ?
Yes. I have used this setup welding on my back under cars. I have had no issues other than the same abuse your welding helmet takes.
where did you get the clips for the light? I thought they were included with the light but no clips in mine
I got them at ACE hardware. they are called "j clips"
How long does the battery last?
Quite a while. It will vary on what intensity you have it set on. 8 hours on low
Félicitations et merci pour votre excellente vidéo.
Thank you so much!

I got this one from lowes. Its a Kobalt. This is my most favorite helmet yet. Luckily the light clamped on easily too.
doesn't that cover the sensors
The sensor is on the bottom of the welding screen luckily : )
@@scantronsgarageTHX. I tried it, for my aging eyes just not enough light.
oh well ;-)
