I like the dial on the older version of the FOIS more since it didn't have the fauxtina lume. Fauxtina of any kind is something I just can't handle. BUT that new hesalite/sapphire crystal is amazing and the bracelet is way better than just a leather strap. I can see why you got this. The Ed White is still worth paying the extra money for. My guess is that's why they fauxtinade the FOIS. So that cheapskates with OCD, like me, wouldn't get that over the Ed White. I mean the Ed White's movement is way better, but the FOIS gets you 85% there without paying 200% more. Because of the fauxtina though, I'd now pay the 200% more. Thanks for the review and for the lovely, informative video shots.
That's a great way of putting it! The FOIS have a place in the current Omega catalog of Speedmasters. It is not a perfect watch, I think that title still belongs to the classic moonwatch. But the FOIS by itself is a welcomed addition to the Speedy family. I think both new customers and existing collectors can get excited on this new release by Omega.
Great comparison. I like both! 😊
Cant fault you for that!
I need both!
@@russellseah2347 why pick one when you can have both!
