KTM is way more powerful and the reasons you mentioned are almost negligible. And talking about the sound, KTM has one of the best exhaust notes and is even more attractive and classy over the dominar! For me, KTM was the king and will always be ❤
Today when i was driving, i saw a Dominar approach in the rear view mirror. The LED lights were so bright i just could look at it for more then a sec. This was 3 in the noon!!!! Absolutely agree with you about the Exhaust Note of the KTM. The 390 has little bit more bass to its sound, Duke 200 sounds like a high powered Rickshaw!!!!

The comparision doesn't make sense. 1) The ergonomics differ from person to person. For a 5'6 or 5'7 guy, the Dominar and the Duke offer a similar riding posture. The Duke may not be completely upright, but still isn't anywhere near uncomfortable. 2) The Duke 2017 has a bigger fuel tank than the Dominar (13.4 vs 13) and they both have a similar mileage. The Duke is going to run a longer distance. 3) Suspension set up on the Duke 2017 has been softened compared to the earlier version. However, its still stiffer than the Dominar, but that gives it the stability on higher speeds on the highway. 4) Yes, the Dominar sounds better. The earlier Duke sounded shitty, but the 2017 Duke sounds better due to the new BS4 exhaust. 5) The Dominar costs 60k less than the Duke 2017. The Duke though comes more feature packed. 6) Both, the Dominar and the Duke 2017 have a LED headlamp. Atleast when you are comparing, make sure you are comparing the latest versions of the motorcycles. Considering the video was made in 2017, it looks like you just wanted to bash the Duke by taking the discontinued model, rather than make a fair comparision.

Still Dominor 400 is not able to match up with KTMs performance. 2) Dominor is more if a cruiser and city bike, whereas Duke is more of a race bike! These bikes are for different kind of enthusiasts! 3) Dominor lacks in power, surge, throttle response, and many more features when compared to KTM Duke 390 which has a technology almost 3 years old and which Bajaj has just come up with after a long struggle! 4) Though Diminor 400 has more CC on the papers, it struggles to touch even 160 kmph! What is the use of all throaty sound and meaty looks! 5) Please compare Bajaj Dominor 400 with any other Indian bike of its class and purpose! 6) Lets see how you compare the same Bajaj Diminor with the new upcoming KTM Duke 390, 2017 model. hi, review is nice but d engines of both bikes r identical & they r not exactly same. Duke uses DOHC Head where as Dominor uses SOHC Head with Tripple sparks. Also KTM Engines come with a Nikasil coating on Internal bore & Piston ( Nickel Silicon Carbid). Can u plz make a one more comparison of Dominor 400 vs 2017 Duke 390?

the exhaust note part is wrong..but i agree with everything else, the exhaust liking just comes to choice of the person. i like the dominar sound but duke doesn't sound that bad either.
Seriously you guys worked real hard to find such absurd reasons. For those who think that KTMs are manufactured by Bajaj. Even Iphones are made in China but it doesn't make them Chinese. China just gave them hands to duplicate the original technology. Same is what Bajaj doing and also copying KTMs technology and R&D. Ever wondered why Bajaj launches its similar bike after KTM does? Copying takes time. Bajaj uses a SOHC engine as opposed to KTMs DOHC. Why? Because using DOHC would make the engines same which might as well get Bajaj into patent troubles. Bajaj has just given hands to KTM in India to make bikes the technology still remains with KTM I am No Bajaj hater but yes i hate copy cats.

hi, review is nice but d engines of both bikes r identical & they r not exactly same. Duke uses DOHC Head where as Dominor uses SOHC Head with Tripple sparks. Also KTM Engines come with a Nikasil coating on Internal bore & Piston ( Nickel Silicon Carbid).

For those who think that KTMs are manufactured by Bajaj. Even Iphones are made in China but it doesn't make them Chinese. China just gave them hands to duplicate the original technology. Same is what Bajaj doing and also copying KTMs technology and R&D.
Ever wondered why Bajaj launches its similar bike after KTM does? Copying takes time.
Bajaj uses a SOHC engine as opposed to KTMs DOHC. Why? Because using DOHC would make the engines same which might as well get Bajaj into patent troubles.
Bajaj has just given hands to KTM in India to make bikes the technology still remains with KTM
