(473) Blue Geode Acrylic Pour! Fluid Acrylic Pour Painting, Striation and Geode Style Art

- These paintings turned out amazing!! I wanted to do some more geode paintings, but this time I used paint. I used the puddle pour method to create the striations within the geode and then tilted out to create the overall geode effect. I am DEFINITELY going to add some silver to These. I will use silver leaf and also silver acrylic paint pens to add to these. The first painting is one puddle and the second is with two puddles. They both turned out differently from each other, but still have the effect I was going for with a geode look.

When doing a geode type pour do you need a base coat?
No you don’t have to, some I don’t but I just make sure to use enough paint so that it all moves on the canvas evenly.
Did you use a mixing medium?
Yes 😊 I use Sargent Art Gloss medium.
Love the final results, but what was the reasoning behind the ring pours? Not being sarcastic...I just don't understand the why behind either, when on the 1st one (especially) and even on the 2nd, most of the "middle" was tilted off, anyway?
The ring pours create striations to mimic rings in a geode or agate.
what colors and brand of paint did you use
I use a ton of different brands so I can't say specifically. These were various shades of blue, beige and white.
