You don’t complain and moan at all, you’re actually extremely positive when reviewing products and you’re very complimentary when viewing trends. Whoever said that must not be a true supporter or avid Robert Welsh watcher.
Yeah, I completely agree that Robert is very complimentary and positive. I’m not sure whoever said that about Robert, but they obviously don’t watch him a lot to know how fair and balanced he is with his reviews. Robert is one of the few people I trust when it comes to products and listen to when it comes to what is worth spending money on. Plus, I see eye to eye on his philosophy and approach to makeup.
Honestly, I love that you recognized that at first the problem wasn't the blender. For you to look at it and recognize the actual problem instead of simply bashing the blender... That's a super high level of professionalism. Great video!

I was going to buy this (after seeing a glowing review by the lovely Wayne Goss) but I think after seeing this I’ll leave it. I can see why actual MUAs would get excited about it. Anything that helps perfect their technique is probably worth it. But for regular, everyday old me, who has barely even worked out brushes yet, I don’t think it’s necessary. I’d rather another palette or something for skin care instead. Thanks for the review Robert. Wonderful as usual and not complaining at all. Don’t know why people would say that? 🤷♀️

I think it's worth it! It outlasts beauty blenders, is more easily sanitized, and its not as wasteful. I'm intrigued!
I love using a sponge but I hate how dirty I think it is
Plus it doesn't absorb product so you end up using less, I'd think.
Silicone blenders like this have been a thing for a long while now so there are definitely cheaper options out there
I had one once.. Didn't like it too much, I felt like it just moved my product around do hopefully I find a better one
It's...useless. Just use your fingers. Also it will be full of hair and stuff within minutes.
The dusty stuff was likely something to stop the silicone-type material it's made of from sticking to the packaging. I've seen it on like neoprene items or things that are slightly sticky. Kinda works like talc on a swimming cap to stop it sticking to you as you put it on. (Bad example but you get the idea.)
I’ve used the super sponge after Tati did a review years ago. Half coated in silicone to distribute product without wasting and the bottom is regular sponge to finish off and absorb excess. I really really like it! Worth a try for sure.

Either Elf or Real techniques made a sponge that has silicone over the very bottom and the rest is regular, is it like that? If so you can probably save some $$ since it's super affordable! I'm pretty sure it's from Elf
SAME! I didn't see her review but I happened to find it online somehow and I won't use anything else for sponges. Love it!
I really appreciate Robert being completely upfront about the primer he was using and washing off the whole first foundation to try it again instead of just doing a one-and-done and blaming the blender!

The reason I watched this video is I was talking to my hubby about how much more cost effective this product would be if it worked (no more beauty blenders, less product, etc). You were very helpful with your commentary and I'm sold on them!
This feels like a really good tool for makeup artists. It’s super easy to clean and long lasting. I could see this being super useful for sculpting wedding and photography makeup.
I got it for the novelty but it’s amazing for travel since I can wash it off and unlike a sponge or brush it dries quickly and is hygienic. The travel case is great. It genuinely blends well as you noted. I use cream products when traveling so it works well for my needs.
I’m absolutely eyeing it for this reason-thinking about switching to mostly creams for travel, and this seems like it would be so easy for cleaning in a hotel room.
Ok but the tweet promo totally made me think it was gonna be one of those personal massage devices sold as facial massagers that are deffs not intended for the face… lol

That side eye in the beginning means it's going to be great! I've seen a few videos on this "tool" and the slapping sound it makes has my immaturity levels nose diving!

I’m surprised that you get feedback that you “only complain and moan,” I think you’re more generous and forgiving than I would be if I tried the volume of products that you do.
I can see a makeup artist using this. For me, I just love using my brushes.
As far as complaining, we are here for your honest opinion. I never once thought that you complained at all.

I'm so glad you did a review on this because I trust and value your opinion, whereas some other "influencers" aren't as honest. I did watch Wayne Goss try this out, too. He seemed to be pleasantly surprised as well. Also, my dog loves watching your videos... Just thought I'd throw that in there lol she's always laying right above my head at night on my pillows and she watches your channel ONLY... Nobody else lol What can I say? I picked one of them up after seeing the Wayne Goss review of it and it does work really well and I like that I can get it totally clean which I can't do with a sponge. It is really hard to get used to using less product than normal though.
I do keep it kind of hidden though because I don't want to try and convince my husband that it really is a face "sponge" for makeup 🤣

From all the reviews I’ve seen…this looks like it works amazing!! I love how it can be used with all cream and even powder application…but that it cuts down product use and application time!! I’m saving for one lol

If it's 100% silicone (I'm not sure if it is) you could boil it clean which means it could last for years and wouldn't need any cleaning products. Pretty good price for that I think.

Tina at fancy face is the first I saw review this sponge and she said the developer says to wash it first and it will pick up lint but she also used it with powder without issues.
Serious question. Is there any difference between this and a silicone pad type thing? Seems I’ve seen you put foundation much easier with a brush? That’s two questions. 🖤💀🖤
It’s textured which mimics your own skin texture. Similar to how a sponge isn’t completely smooth and is rough. Like a smooth silicone applicator just smears the foundation on top in a way that isn’t as natural because you can’t get that textured effect like a sponge or this
