I'm only at chapter 9, but I like the Vanguard Scarf on Eredor to move him close to the enemies, then use the in tandem quietus to get him 2 turns right away to get into the enemies as quick as possible to provoke.
I do the same strategy but with Jens to get some traps set up!
I put mine on Benedict first run through to ensure I’d get buffs off before enemies could get to me: route I took, I don’t know why, but there were SO MANY FIGHTS where one of my characters, before they could even MOVE, got killed. Pissed me off

Red Guard Scarf on Eredor is OP, he ends up taking less damage from back shots than front/side shots, and being that the game's AI prioritizes back shots, you can move him up, have him face away from enemies and just be a damage sponge. Pretty cool!
Rear guards cloak is great on Erador, it goes well with his passive. Have him face backwards to any enemy and his back damage is lowered very sugnificantly. You should try it, I used his back to tank attacks, and lure enemies.
He almost takes less damage from behind anyway. Even if he misses a provoke, having his back turned does make a juicy target for the ai. Theres just so much good stuff that you can put on Erador, it's hard to decide on anything, lol.
Fun combo to use both of the ressurection earrings on a certain unit with the Revive passive (no spoilers) so that he’s got 4 lives and can REALLY be in the enemy lines for a while
so reviving with the earring refreshes the passive revive?

i would prefer having the second one on Avlora tho in case she dies.
To make it even MORE stupid, bring Geela along and you've got yourself an absolute PHOENIX of a unit!
The movement bangle is at the Roselle labor camp at the salt lake. From where you start go left a bit to get onto the planks, then straight up and along the map's border. It's a shiny spot on the edge, not really near Frederica
Vanguard scarf on Benedict, 5 dragon shields on turn one. Based af.
I liked Red Scarf on Anna because I used her to get a lot of finishing kills by triggering multiple follow-up attacks and back attacks.
I liked amulet of immunity on Geela just to make sure she doesn’t have to deal with status since I hate the brokenness of Medina and I never use her.

I liked the Red Scarf on Hossabara since she cannot heal herself and she does pretty good damage once fully upgraded.

The devs already said they'd rather work on a second game over developing DLC so we're out of luck there

Red Anklet on Rudolph was one of my favorite combos when utilized with Lie and Wait which gives an increase to luck and accuracy if you end the turn on the same tile you started the turn on.
This was my combo aswell. Two-fold turn on Rudy to insure he gets all of his buffs: +3 speed, crit, and accuracy, +2 strength. If you two-fold turn him again he's doubling the value of all those stats. I eventually moved my Red Anklet to Julio cause there are better items for Rudolph, and Julio can use the +2 Magic for his Best Regards ability, which is a great tank slayer.

I had my red scarf on seranoa, hawk dive became a potion basically when attacking mages.
The rear guard makes a lot of sense for Roland since he will be flanking enemies often, and he is too frail to take a back attack himself.
True, the damage reduction just isn't that great so I think he'll still take quite a bit though

This game strongly reminds me of the Ogre Battle/Final Fantasy Tactics games. Shouldn't be a surprise because all those games were made by Square and Enix prior to the companies merging. The art style, gameplay, and music are like a mix of the previously mentioned games.
You inspired me to do New Game + and try the rest of the characters and maps. As for these accessories, I find the best use of the Red Scarf to be paired with the Black Ancklet to mitigate the hp loss. And the Golden Pinkie Ring is great on Trish for giving her TP.
Vanguard scarf doesn't put you first every turn, just the first. But it does give you a headstart and next turn calculations run from your last move so you will start early next turn but fall more and more behind as the fight goes on. It's the same principle with now, fast acting medication and in tandem. They place your next move based on when you just acted rather than when you would've been without the turn order shenanigans.

Bangle of Vitality can go together with black anklet. They'll negate each other leaving only the stat boosts. But unless you need both the attack/magic and defense, 2 amulets or bracelets are usually better.
I combined black anklet with the bangle of vitality on hughette to counter act the damage. The heal occurs first so she always was below max HP but after that they cancelled them out. And I really liked the red scarf on the spoiler character that damages themselves. The self damaging move does so so much damage that she often was self healing back the damage. And as others have mentioned the rear guard cloak is great on erador / flannagan

Great guide! Can you make a guide on how to find all the notes? That is something that there isn't much good information out there existing atm.
There are a LOT more notes in the game than there are accessories so it might be quite a bit more of an effort to make something like that, but I'll think about it!
Black anklet and Vitality bangle do cancel each other, but I don't know if filling up both slots and losing a bit of your max hp is worth the stats
Red Scarf and Golden Pinkie Ring I put on Seranoa for like the whole game. Rear guard and Vanguard I put on Erador.
Steel back stacks with the cloak. And enemies prioritize attacking your back. It’s super super good as long as you set up your positio mmm correctly at the end of eradors turn.
If you play hard mode 50 hp is the difference between taking 3 hits over taking 2 hits before death.
Hey mate, i need to know more details about how get the plume of immortality, i did finished my first playthrough without anyone died, but didn't get this one. I did use quetus rejuvenate to revive my fallen characters, does that count? Thanks for anyone who reply mate.
Love the content! Anyone using Geela can actually stack Miraculous Light with the resurrection ring, so they get 2 lives lol.
I kinda wanna try a combo with red scarf and black anklet. Scarf has been nice on my Anna, since she gets backstab kills and takes a bit of damage on turns I don't opt for cover. Love picking off mages and archers with her.
Now you gotta go for that Plume of Immortality solo Serenoa run lol.
That sounds like both funny but also torture, can you imagine trying to win all of those 50% procs?
you can stack both Miraculous Light & a Resurrection earring on a particular character who has an innate revive which turns makes them basically unkilliable.
which unique accessories can you get multiple of?
Are certain accessories like vanguard scarf not available in ng+ if you already have It? I've noticed im missing a few accessories I easily found in regular new game
Yep, once you have the accessories, most of them cannot be found again unless obtained in a different branch of a path you didn't do before
A few notes.
Plume of Immortality apparently affects your entire party, regardless of who has it equipped. I had my Picoletta rise from the dead even though Spoiler-Character had it equipped. (Now, I can't check my save ATM, but I'm 99% sure I didn't equip Picoletta with any self revive because that would be silly.)
Amulet of Immunity seems to not work against Stop which is easily the most problematic effect to deal with. It's not encountered often, but when it is, it's super problematic. (Would be nice if it did work tho, imagine how dummy OP Quahaug would then be.)
One request finally: A Quiteus guide would be nice. Just when to use them and what to get. Seems a lot of people don't use them and they can significantly streamline some fights, especially on Hard during your 1st playthrough.

And yes, stop is just broken for some reason and doesn't count as a status effect.
I did think about a Quietus guide for a bit but there's only 10 of them and half of them are fairly useless. I might incorporate it into some kind of tactical gameplay tips video in the future or something like that though! TLDR: In Tandem and Lightwave are my most used ones
Question. Do you only get 1 of each item when you are running through the game and find them on the ground? I couldn’t find a 2nd vanguard scarf in the mines for example.
Yeah, anything you find during an exploration segment cannot be found unless it is in an exploration segment in a different branch of the game, even if it's in the same location.
9:39 situational? Could have fooled me after the amount of times Erador has been attacked with a shield slam attack and just stone walled the enemy.
Hmm once you do new game + do you get all units you got from previous play and all materials and all upgardes or is it all reseted ecept units level?
Yup, you get to keep everything!
When it comes to status ailments, normally if they show up it's poison which i dont really care about, sleep or paralysis which i can remove with a pellet before it matters(or they die from the lightning), or tempt, which can, funnily enough, be removed by tempting them again. Over all, statuses were ocasionally annoying, but rarely worth an equip slot.
I agree, they were just too infrequent to be more than a minor annoyance every now and then

On my first playhtrough I used red scarf and I think the anklet (the one that gives you atk up and defense up on kill) on my Serranoa and it absolutely wrecks.

How did you get 3 Grounding Amulets? It's only obtainable in 2 locations is it not?
The accessory system in this game really adds an extra wrinkle to team building, though managing them absolutely sucks. so dumb you can't see what everyone has equipped without trying to equip an accessory first.
Never realised you could actually get an Amulet of immunity myself. as you said Status effects were never really an issue (besides thenoccansiall unlucky paralysis and immobility from mages/archers respectively) so i'm not missing it too much.
I find the combination of the lightning amulet & ice amulet to essentially be a better Magic Def bracelet, most mages (and the most threatening ones) in the mid-late game use Thunder or Ice magic, and often times they'll only be one magic type per map so you can just switch them out. definitely was nice to take some strain off my frontline in those instances where it's not easy to status the mages.
The one other accessory i'll comment on is the Red scarf. you can use it in combination with Serenoa's rout & recover skill to have him heal ~200 HP from a kill which is really nice, especially since i often find Serenoa ends up finishing off weakened/retreating enemies with Hawk Dive and he also takes a fair bit of damage so it's nice to have him essentially use an Extra Large Recovery a pellet for free with every kill.
excited to hear some analysis content is coming! i'm just about to finish my final route so i'm definitely in the mood for some reflections on this amazing game.
Yesss, the rush for early game guides is starting to dwindle and I think it's time to sit down and digest some of the more deeper stuff like analyzing the game itself and the story/characters/gameplay system and all those fun things!

Is there rng elements in the spoils to get some items? Another thing I put the resurrection earing on Maxwell and somehow he gets revived twice

It does include mock battles yes
I have to wonder what difficulty you play on, cause I get hit with status ALL the time, typically blind or movement sealing, which are stupid obnoxious. Though it's easy to remedy if you just make sure to always carry recovery items. I started buying them, simply because these debuffs were extremely impeding.
I played once on normal, and then hard for every single other of my 4 playthroughs. The difficulty doesn't effect the enemy movesets or status hit rate, that's only affected by level. Difficulty literally only changes the damage multiplier.
Especially paralyze on HARD
Okay I need to know, am I being Punked? I've seen some people talk about a "Jump Bangle" which seems to be a counter part of the Movement Bangle. I don't have it and no one seems to know where to find it but I've seen people talking about using it and guides listing it but every guide I see just says the Jump Bangle is found during exploitation without elaborating. Since it's not listed here I have to ask, does this exist? Can anyone confirm or deny for sure that they have it and if so, where it is?
I cant tell you if this is obtainable, but the item does indeed exist, in roland's route in chapter 13/14 Thalas is equipped with it, so i'm not sure if this is an enemy only accessory or you can get it somehow,
Yeah some bosses have unique accessories and there was one that I got sad when it don't drop from beating them
There are a handful of unique accessories that bosses have equipped that we are never able to get in the game unfortunately. I don't know why they made it this way but that's just how it is unfortunately!
@@LinkKing7 So are you saying that you think/know the Jump Bangle is unattainable by the player? fwiw I just checked to make sure Thaliu's steal wasn't the Jump Bangle (it wasn't) but this mystery has been bugging me.
Can you make a guide for how to efficiently farm money? I am always low on money and doing the highest level mock battle isn’t very efficient most of the time. There is probably some kind of strategy to clear the maps much faster than I am though.

There are quite a few out there that you can look up, but yeah I might be able to potentially touch on it!
@@quickpawmaud what level are they? You don't need to be lv 50 to do it, my level 33-37 narve with a black anklet could one shot those enemies if i set the difficulty to very easy. And as for Lionel his level being high is not a necessity, it just gives you more money per run.

Vanguard Scarf Julio, give TP to Seranoa first turn, Serenoa uses his TP sharing ability on everyone first turn, all your mages r pretty much max TP first turn

Yeah, all characters carry over (like if you recruited Cordelia in first playthrough, she still is there in ng+)
Yup, you pretty much keep everything in NG+, even your levels!

When talking about the Vanguard Scarf, you keep saying turn and turn order when I think you mean rounds. Regardless, that is not how this type of game works as there is no such thing as rounds. This type of game works more on a wait delay and their speed stat to determine who goes next, which means if Unit A has twice the speed of Unit B, then Unit A will have twice the number of turns as Unit B. Abilities like Now and In Tandam just zero out whatever wait delay that unit currently has left so they can go next. Likewise, a delaying strike will add to the wait delay.

Gotta say, it still feels so weird to have a strength stat and all other main stats being in the range of like… 40 or so, give it take, while having HP in the hundreds. Just feels very weird

Doesn't exist, you never get one to use, it seems to be unique to enemies only

@@mohammadzola567 It's not possible to do. You might be able to get some of the generic stat up accessories, but there is no way to get any unique accessories from the bosses. This has been confirmed.
