I really like your reviews. You have a relaxed, engaging style and you focus on what’s actually important.
Regarding putters …. I find user error is my biggest problem; when I miss yet another 3 footer I don’t think I can really blame the club 🙄 I recently bought an ex-demo King Cobra Supernova from a club for £150. I couldn’t miss in their practice area …. Not quite the same on a real green but, again, that’s more down to me. I do like my putter though and it’s worth £150 but that’s probably as high as I’d go.

I own MANY putters of various styles and can miss putts just as well with any of them. I firmly believe its the putter, not the putter!

Currently gaming a Cleveland soft 2 10.5... all I want in a putter, for a nice price. It's got tech with its variable milling, a firm but great feel, alignment is good, the slight arc matches my stroke... I find that most of the times I don't hole out it's because I either read poorly the line or hit the ball too hard or too softly... Not the arrow, the Indian.

I can miss with the Wilson as good as I can with the other two. Anyway, the greens at my club are so crap I might as well putt with a shovel.

This is what’s wrong with some parts of golf today, prices escalating because they can get away with it.
I had a putting lesson with a PGA tour short game coach, one of the things I asked him was if I should be using a blade or mallet, his response was if you get the mechanics right then you can putt with either and it comes down to personal
    Preference.
I prefer a milled finish on the face, only inserts I’ve tried deaden the impact. I like blade style that’s what I’ve always used.
My putter cost £70 a Ben Ross model by into the shop looked at several blade models which felt right in my hands then putting on the mat, put it down went and browsed at other clubs etc came back putted again and sank the ten footers, deal done.
Having said that if someone needs to spend £300+ to feel they are in with a chance of sinking the putts then It’s their choice. None of those would be in my bag

I've bought plenty of putters over the last 40 years and the only constant is that the prices continue to rocket. I think we need to realise that just because the price is high doesn't mean it will work. Currently gaming a 1960s ping echo that I picked up in a charity shop for relative pennies.

If I was buying a new putter I would definitely look at the Wilson first. We all have good and bad days golfing. I don't think paying 2 or 3 hundred pounds more is going to help. Loved the look of the Ping putter but I don't think I would pay so much more just on looks.

Putter is the most important club In your bag. Instead investing to a new driver, spend that money to a new putter that is right for you. It doesn't have to be most expensive one, but don't cheap out when you find the one. It gives you great confidense boost when you know and feel, that you have just right putter In your hands.

My current putter is Odyssey White Hot OG 2-Ball Stroke Lab.
I paid £118 for it 2 years ago.
I think it was a price mistake but anyway, I even thought that was too much to pay for a putter.
The thought of paying over £300 makes me feel like vomiting.

I agree with you - £300 sounds a lot. But when I stop and think that 40% of my shots are puts, I do think a decent putter is probably as important as my driver (which costs far more than £300). But it’s only worth it if it can help eliminate some of my own flaws and that’s tough to see 🤷‍♂️

I tried dozens of putters in my local store. I looked for consistency, I had better consistency with unfortunately the $350 ones while my dad found a $70 putter.

Spent £280 on my current gamer, which included a fitting using SAM Put Lab. Very happy with it but its regular practice more than anything which has made me more consistent on the greens.

I have six putters, from Mallet to Blade. Paid between $1 to $80. All work just fine. All those expensive putters just hide your bad technique.

Most I’d spend is about €150, but I’d rather get something second hand that’s worth more for that money.

Does your putter sink more putts? Grandma can putt, it's not physical, it's mental.

The best putter I have is a Rossi that I purchase at an estate sale for $10, I have an Odyssey 2 ball sitting in the garage that I paid over $200 and it doesn't work as well as the Rossi.

    Getting the right putter is key, I don't think cost is the question, that bring said I've never had something better than my LAB DF3 (valued circa £750 with the upgrades in the setup) #eastanglianairambulance #togetherwesavelives #edga #disabilityawareness #shotscope #cobra #taylormade #proshotgolfclub #disabilityinsport #huofficialclothing #tp5 #labgolfputters #labgolf #df3 #flightscope #mevo #flightscopeuk #pulsioofficial #gxgolf #gxgolfgloves

If you've got the money, spend it as you wish. Since I'm not making a living playing golf, I don't think I could spend more than $300 for a putter. Ironically, I purchased a used Scotty putter three years ago for $200 and it's been a good performer. I just had it regripped and was using an old Taylormade White Smoke MC72 34" putter that I bought used for my wife about seven years ago and it's outperforming my Scotty and staying in the bag.
