I grew up in Memphis and was devastated when I saw he was found dead... the first reports where that he was dealing drugs and a deal went south. I'm glad his name has since been cleared.

He was an older white dude who didn't wear basketball shoes so he gave them to me. A dope pair of Jordans and Adidas which I still have to this day. RIP Sir

This could have saved time and instead waiting for all these years.
I find these crazy dispatch stuff happens more in southern and Midwest states were the dispatchers are employed by private companies and are paid minimum wage. In CA and NY there are city/county/state employees and have to test to be eligible to apply for these jobs, have extensive training and are paid competitive wages.

We pay too much taxes for this inept Police work that is rampant across the country. With that said we need be selective in hiring process of Police and pay MORE to hire and retain hard working, honest Police Officers.

But they should have done something about that call when it came in even if it had been a prank ! His wife had him killed had her lover and his cousin do it. They went to his house in Atlanta to do it and even went in his house then decided to do it in Memphis.

They had his name, Billy Ray Turner from the very beginning and they let Sherra and Billy live their best life for 7 years while Ms Marion suffered smh smh so sad

I can't even imagine the pain of his parents, my God! Your child laid out in the summer heat for 10 days and once they got him back he only wore 56 lbs.... I'm a mom of 1 son and to learn something like that would've killed me & Mark......This brutal murder has always traumatized me bcoz it shouldn't have happened to such a good person and I pray that everybody that's involved gets exactly what their asses deserve!!!!!

Man oh man it has to be torture not knowing where your son or daughter is!!! All that wondering and trying to hold on to hope and then u get the call that changes your entire life forever. My heart bleeds for his parents because not only did they lose their son, he died alone in the rain and couldn't even give him an open casket funeral because his body was decomposed. After all of that, trying to have closure but can't because u don't know what happened and who was responsible for their death. Now that they know his ex wife and their grandchildren's mom was responsible, its like tearing your heart out of your chest. I pray for them.

If somebody calls 911 and all the dispatcher hears is gunshots common sense trace the call let the police know and go investigate.

So, 9 days later the call and info was turned over to the police in which his body was found that SAME day. If it was turned over right away they would have found him right after it happened and he may be alive to this day because he was able to dial 911 in the first place. SMH
