But even after hitting the road and before, the relative distance between the car and the apple is still increasing meaning the apple is still moving "opposite" to the car but "forward" to the road.
what i dont get it imagine dropping a apple form the moving car, the person in the car would just see the apple fall in a straight line down, but someone standing beside the road would see the apple trace a slightly longer diagonal line (apple falling down due to gravity + forward motion of the car the apple is in). Therefore, does the person in the car see the apple hit the ground first, since a straight line down to the ground is a shorter distance, before the person outside the car sees it hit the ground first?? Surely this cannot be the case as both people have to see the apple hit the ground at the same time so how can this problem be resolved??
Pretend your the apple and jump out the car..... I've done it before.... You have to stumble backwards when land on feet..... you get a few seconds where it feels like time freezes when your shoes stomp heavily on the road and your forced to stumble backwards following the car you jumped out of....... #was only going about 20mph..... If would have fail wouldn't of have been too bad of a road rash likely 0 broken bones.... Lol I didn't even get a scratch... Just my shoes thuded on the road hard. 👍🤣 definitely want to do again but my friends warned everyone to keep me on child lock. :/ I knew what i was doing I was testing physics because I had some thoughts just like this. 👍 hey I only jumped out going 20mph isn't all that crazy when you know you run faster then that. :)
For example Car speed 100 kmph Ball throw in car direction in 10 kmph speed Ball move 110 kmph speed. But friction force to reduce gradually ball speed. Assume no friction force, then ball continues move in 110 kmph speed.
