hey thanks. I have never found physics hard and everyone thinks im weird when it comes to physics. But I just basically think in a logical way. When you are given a question in physics. Try to imagine it or even draw the situation on paper to help you discover a "what will happen" or "how it will happen". Then just apply formulas. hope i helped

The Doppler effect in radar works like this, the colour spectrum of visible light when an object is approaching towards you it will be red for example but green in the middle and blue when away. If everything in the radar is standing still it becomes noise. If an enemy aircraft is not moving in a direction where the Doppler effect is happening and moves into the right place, it can become one with the noise on the enemies radar and effectively disappear from their long range sight. I learned this in DCS World.

The animation has one flaw - the circles showing the wave propagation do not move with a car. A sound travels from the spot it was created, independently on how its source is moving.

Thanks for bringing up the car horn example. Its easier to understand when you know what to look for and actually pay attention to the sound. The sound doesnt sound the same the entire time, or you could actually hear the sound changing from high to low pitch when its in motion. The low pitch part, it actually sounds like its being drawn out or stretched due to the lower frequency.

1:16 I can't believe that he actually notated the notes pretty on point... unlike some other people... but that's unimportant. Hats of to you Alt Shift X.

I literally live beside some train tracks. You know how sometimes it takes you a while for the right amount of enthusiasm to accumulate? Cool video, wish I’d watched it 9 months ago, could of saved myself a lot of time and wondered about other things instead

Ironic that the Alt shift X that I follow for fantasy stories and Hot D made this video which gave me interest in the doppler effect. Thanks man.

The interesting thing is that, in addition to the change in pitch of its horn, the car appears to change color, too, as it gets nearer and farther away but not nearly enough to notice. In fact, as we walk toward and/or away from someone, the pitch of our voice and the colors of our skin, hair, and clothes change, too, as far as the stationary person is concerned, but, again, not nearly enough to notice.
From the perspective of the moving person, the colors of the stationary person and the sounds he might make would change similarly in color and pitch as the moving person moved closer and/or farther away from the stationary person, yet neither person would experience any change in color or sound in himself.

Very well explained, physics if you don't understand, it's the fault of whom you are being taught by, even a layman can understand the special theory of relativity, it's just who Is teaching you
