Zekka apologized for the touching later, I don’t think it’s considered appropriate, but because there haven’t been any big issues yet, sometimes people push the rules a bit.
there's a no touching rule and the judges can deduct points or disqualify, but because nearly all the top competitors are friends off the stage. (these two are) its often not enforced. that being said there was a similar situation in a 23 battle but the 2 competitors talked about it after and apologies were made apparently. Also the napom and zekka battle is fire and the napom and king inertia eliminations are must watches
even tho they are friends, colaps did express that it pissed him off after and zekka didn’t even realize he was in the wrong until some of his other friends told him he was in the wrong for doing that. he did apologize to colaps and they are good now.
You are 100% right with the clarity of sounds with Colaps. Colaps is known for always practicing the “basics” in beatbox, the kicks and snares, etc. he focuses less on fancy sounds and bases and he masters the basics to the extent where his basics come out so clean and he has evolved his basics into some crazy patterns and combos
Collapse came so prepared to take the win in 2021. This first round is total technical domination. Zekkas counter is alright but not nearly the same lvl
Ya honestly only other time I’ve seen someone prepare this hard for an event to win it all is D-low in 2019 and KBB21. He brought pure force in 2019 after losing 2018 to codfish and then he had a brand new round for each KBB round and they were all perfect. Colaps definitely prepared the most out of anyone at GBB21. River this year didn’t feel like he prepared as much despite practicing everyday for the past 2 years
The touching completely ruined this battle for me, it's so awkward. Colaps clearly didn't like it and even said it pissed him off. They talked about it after and worked it out but this definitely was not ok. It's not at all weird that it made you uncomfortable, it was creepy and bully behavior and is not normal in these settings. I really hope you watch River vs. Hiss next, my favorite battle of the event. 🙏🏻
Collaps came prepared to win this tournament, he was very well prepared and totally focused for every opponent and round, Yes Zekka shouldn't really have been touching his opponent, they are friends but still when your on that stage in battle mode - Its on! Zekka did later appologise though, so still all love. But been saying for time you HAVE TO check out the SBX kickback battles - start with the seeding video and go through the rounds, it will give you a good intro to a few other beatboxers including Zekka, and I think D-Low showcased some of his best stuff in this tournament 👊
Colaps is the one punch man of beatbox, he trained hard for years preparing for these battles, perfecting his sets, all originals! He made a documentary if youre interested. In my opinion, quality wise only the battle with river was super close. The others were good but the sound quality, technicality, complexity and structure is immaculate with colaps every time. He is a true legend. After you watched the documentary you will understand the relief on his face after he won
Watching you watch Colaps for the first time was worth it. Also, touching isn't allowed, a lot of people thought it was disqual worthy. But they are in fact friends.
There are supposed to be rules in place about touching your opponent but has become a sort of unspoken rule or something for the judges to decide on if its for fun or to much. Some physical battle elements have (mainly for fun or like a look at me tap) happened but the community drew the line with this battle. Zekka has publicly apologized and talked on how he was way into the battle and regrets how he acted.
Pretty much all these top tier gbb contestants are homies! Years of competitions whilst living together, collabs and streams will do that! You are well and truly down the rabbit hole sir and I can't wait till you see bbu stuff . One love peeps
If we check other beatboxers vlogs during this event like on streets and backstage footage ... We can see that Zekka is that kind of person who likes to throw some punches as a way to show that he is happy or to demonstrate love... Chezame's arms did took some of his affection here and there
You are correct Colaps' sounds are very clear, he specially focuses on that and also suggests his viewers to first perfect basic sounds before moving to advanced sounds
you are absolutely right with the touching. but these guys know each other so well, had so many moments together already. homies. but still you could see how much colaps disliked it but in return zekka got shredded 😂
No no youre not triggered for no reason, it was a genuine cringe performance from Zekka, in terms of sportsmanship. Hes also obsessed with working out, and actually thought saying "you cant do a full planche" was actually an insult 😂
I remember watching the Live Stream for this GBB and as soon as Zekka touched Colaps' face, everyone in the chat was calling for him to be disqualified. A bunch of people thought there was going to be a fight, since pretty much the entire chat was saying it was super disrespectful and against the rules. Nothing ever came of it though. Zekka did apologize after but frankly a lot of fans were still pretty upset about it and tried getting him banned for a few years. Of course, that didn't happen and everyone calmed down after a few weeks. Until the video came out of this battle a few weeks later. Still mad disrespectful in my opinion.
The touching attitude was totally disrespect, I would recommend you NME vs SARO since you got deeper in loop scene, can't wait you react to this with your guys🔥
Also if you watched till the end, Zekka would grab a mic and give colaps his props. Went smth like “Absolute Monster, glad he was the one to knock me out”
you are right about the no touching thing that's been a nono for a good reason a long time and that reason hasn't disappeared just because beatbox has modernized even if they were cool with it here, this just opens up to the next person zekka faces testing him, and so on. the battle is not about any physical dominance in any way outside of performing, so physical contact is just not cool
True, in competition no one should physically touch their rival. But this goes back to Zekka being Spanish. You know, in their culture. They are friends and They do not intend to insult each other.
I think the affected person gets to decide if the touching was okay or not. They can get disqualified for it. Most peeps are friends tho, these two even made a track together! Zekka even made a reference with the "bingo" at the end of his first round
actually, Zekka excused after for touching him like that, Colaps said it makes him angry about it and so, not cool with it. And Zekka was a little on edge because Colaps wasn't looking at him for the drops, that's why he touch him, but no wanted And at the last part of the first round of Zekka, he made reference with Bingo, it's a song they beatbox with others so ref for both of them
Is against the rules to touch the opponent. Pretty much every one here is homies with eachother. They all hanging out all weekend etc. This is one of the few times where the line being crossed. Credit to colaps for staying cool and absolutely destroying it. Also really glad you've caught on to the quality of colaps' sounds. That is PURE discipline
Totally agree its disturbing when he touch him but the grabbing is totally over the line. Think he do it to disturb him or many he is overhyped. Nice you start to react to wildcard to. Dont miss out Kohey GBB 2020 world League wildcard. 🎉 Its crazy.🎉 Looking forward to see beatboxers as guests 💯💥
In Rap battles, Bboy battles, Beatbox battles... what you see is that sometimes the competitors try f with each other a bit. Inevitably lines get crossed. It's a competition. People want to win and they will resort to what seems available. Ofcourse what Zekka did was in the spirit of trying to win. He was trying to dominate Colaps musically and then he went physical with it.
If you like Colaps and old school vibes, he've got a crew: E.O.G (end of the game). They did a gbb21 and 23 wildcard and this year they battled !! END OF THE GAME | GBB21: WORLD LEAGUE CREW WILDCARD | STAMINA
I don’t know if you caught this, but the end of Zekka’s first round was a straight shot at Colaps. He used sons of Colaps’s signature sounds. And then Colaps clapped back hard. This is my favorite part, he’s like move bitch 😂 6:53
not sure if anybody has properly cleared this up yet. Colaps and Zekka are boys, they've made a collab called 'bingo' which also gives some context to Zekka's first round when he says Colaps should stick to bingo. Despite this, the touching wasn't appropriate and isn't typically accepted in the beatbox scene, but the fact they're boys is more than likely why Colaps didn't freak out. He did later say he was uncomfortable with it though.
So what I believe was the situation back then was, that it was the first time a situation like this had occured and there were (or are) no clear rules against it, which is why Zekka didn't get DSQ'd for the grabbing n shit. However I believe it's been heavily discussed if this was an illegal move and should be punished. I believe it came down the fact that Colaps and Zekka were homies and he did apologize afterwards. It was a heated battle situation, and i'm pretty sure similar stuff will be punished if it occurs again.
You are absolutely right in my opinion, Zekka's attitude is totally disrespectful, and I think it is in order to destabilize Colap's, because maybe he thought that would be the only way to be able to dominate him. But this kind of attitude is exceptional in the beatbox world.
Man, you're 100% right about the touching. It's not cool at all, and it distracts from the music.... GBB 2023 has just happened and there were similar issues. (see Ice vs River).
That was Zekka getting into the heat of the battle, they are cool friends and that was definitely just for the battle, but it still was too much which Zekka did already apologize for. But yeah dw too much, they cool, still doesn’t excuse what he did but it’s not as bad as you may think initially
There is a no touching rule in GBB. But yeah people do push the rules and have not faced any repercussion. Maybe if something happens in actuality the GBB committee will enforce it more strictly.
So there is a no touching policy during battles. You can roast someone verbally but not physically. During the second drop, Zekka got pissed because Colaps turned his back on him, signifying disrespect, which pissed off Zekka. That is why Zekka grabbed him and pulled Colaps around to face him. Zekka was wrong for doing this and Colaps kept his cool.
Yeah. In the rules of beatbox battles their is no touching. Zekka grab him because when colaps doing his things and seeing in the eyes of zekka and challenging him. Zekka were in it. But in the round of zekka. Colaps make his angle of view in other place so he turnd him like he mean to said I'm here. And he apologized and confirmed that he didn't mean to be rude
Up until GBB21 I was a big Zekka fan. After this battle I lost a lot of respect for him. Touching is NOT allowed in these battles and he did it several times.
Touching is not allowed. They are friends and Zekka apologised afterwards. But its still not ok wat Zekka did. . Colaps is nr 1 the world right now for me. And hearing him live is crazyyyy. Spoiler: this gbb things got tense during River-Ice battle
Ive always 100% agreed with the fact that him touching colaps was low. It's pretty disrespectful regardless if a rule or not. Personally I feel like touching and especially touching that leads to taunting should be a point off your judged round. It just loses the vibe for me when that shit happens
dude Zekka would have been laid out. I honestly think it's a European thing as to him grabbing him, but I've seen people hurt for nocking into someone.
@Black Pegasus they aren't supposed to touch. They are supposed to dq the person that does that or at minimum point reduction. But no, it's extremely uncomfortable. I love Zekka and he did apologize after for being too in the moment, but was very awkward. And regardless of the beatbox i think colaps should have won because of it
Naw bro, don't feel weird about your thoughts bout Zekka grabbing his face. The other touches most ppl gave a yellow card to, but grabbing Colaps' face was a big red card
What Zekka did isn't usuall allowed either. This should have caused an instant disqualification. I mean he lost anyway but yeah. Doesn't matter If they're homies, you just don't do this
NOBODY liked how he grabbed colaps... but they're friends, so he let it slide on stage, but i guarantee you he lost points from a couple judges for doing it, he also publicly apologized
We’re not cool with that neither that was super weird from zekka even live , those kind of moov sucks and almost all the community is against those type of comportement
Zekka apologized for the touching later, I don’t think it’s considered appropriate, but because there haven’t been any big issues yet, sometimes people push the rules a bit.
D-Low taking B-Art's hat off would've gone bad if B's stitches had come out
He also said in a livestream with Osis and M1klz that he didn't even remember the touching and that he's a very touchy guy lol
there's a no touching rule and the judges can deduct points or disqualify, but because nearly all the top competitors are friends off the stage. @@PhonkCult. Bro that one made me so uncomfortable

D-Low vs Zekka❤🔥
I love ya reactions so good man we live in different world now with this day in age haha 😂 I hate being 36 haha 😂
U know wut pegasus u need to react to date Mexican OT cowboy killa's listen to it
