Ive been looking at these for a while and decided today to pull the trigger on purchasing one. This video helped . Love that stag. And it will definately become my new EDC. thanks
It's one of Boker's best - same pattern & style they've used for decades! The stag version is my favorite & you can see why. Well done & solid as a rock. Atb!
Three beautiful pieces. The Sportmesser in stag had been a grail knife for me for years. I finally got one a while back and I must agree the workmanship, fit/finish all in perfect order. Your piece is even lovelier. .
All I can say Erik, That Voodoo Ranger not only tastes great, it packs a helluva punch! lol..By the way, My Grandmother (My Mother's side) immigrated to the States from Belgium when she was 12 years old (with her parents of course). That makes me 1/4 Belgian I believe. Cheers!
Hey Slick! Ironic you bring up that particular knife at this time. I was planning on revisiting it for "Sunday Stag" (I bet the Stamp & Coin Collectors are laughing at us putting up all these videos with calendar overtones..lol). From what I hear from avid hunters, this particular blade shape is the best all around for hunting (processing) & general duties around the campsite. I grew up in a time & place where just about everyone used the 110. Gorgeous knife though, a favorite of mine. Hope you're doing well, I plan on sending out an email soon my friend 🙏✌️
Thanks my friend! This is one I'll cherish when I get out in the woods. Me & some friends are planning an overnight camping trip just before Christmas - It will be cold & possibly snow ridden but nothing a big fire wont fix! lol
Hey Rick just subscribe from Paddy Channel sorry to here your going some hard times Hope you recover fast I’m excited to join your channel and enjoy some great carton best or luck and Health for you and your family
A camp out before Christmas and this solid built knife to take along, you've got your priorities well sorted, would be good to see your outdoor kit sometime. Best wishes.
It's going to be crazy Stone! The good thing is we won't travel too far north & the "campsite" is on private property (it's the same property the pig roast was on) It's thickly wooded on the back 10 acres with short trail leading back to a creek (which will be frozen) & large opening to set up shelters & build a nice fire to keep warm. The trail is easy to hike & only an 1/8 mile at most, so for the 3 of 6 people with bad backs, it will be a breeze! lol It's still out in the middle of nowhere but only an hours drive from my home. I guess you could say it's an old folks way of enjoying the "wilderness", & the easiest for all involved especially if there is a lot of snow on the ground. My outdoor kit is pretty much a mix of things from my bugout bag & my hunting gear. Of course the knives I'll bring will be picked from my collection on a whim - but this Boker Camp is a certainty. The owner of the property (a big man with a strong back) will already have an axe & firewood stacked at the campsite! lol In a sense, we are cheating mother nature. The Michigan winter's can be brutal & this way we can bail out easily if things get too rough & we will still have cellphone services in an emergency. All the Best.
Great video. Thanks for the tool demonstration. Beautiful knife. I think if you could only have a single Camp that would be the one. On my mos def list.
That's kinda my intention Zen, I think my "Camp Knife" box is checked..maybe if I come across a vintage Boker camp in the same stylings & in good condition - I might bite of course! lol
There's no doubt the beauty of the Boker covers! By no means am I disappointed - I just prefer the natural look of the Puma stag. And its good to have a variety of stag covers. If they all looked like the Puma, that wouldn't be any fun! lol Thanks Chana! All the Best 👍
Dude that is a beautiful piece. I have looked at those and drooled for a long time.... Although I had also always admired the Taylors eye witness barlows and I have my second one coming tomorrow and just got my first about a month ago. I bet that boker has a pinned shield because I have 2 boker barlows and both have pinned shields. I think the stag on both of those knives are absolutely top notch!!
Be careful Tom - Those TEW's are addicting!😆 I'm sure the shield is pinned in, my little rovy-von flashlight crapped out & I can't find my big maglight. I'm only going to take this Boker camp knife on camping trips (which is about 1 per year) so either way, I'm sure everything will hold up - very high quality & sturdy build Take Care My Friend! PS - And yes - beautiful stag coming from the German makers!
Wanted to add a couple of comments First, I like the stag on the Boker a bit better. Second, I was showing this video to my kids and they got all excited when you were demonstrating how to use the knife to open a bottle and a can. Sadly, the camera angle blocked the view of the actual can opening - all we could see was the back of your hand. Perhaps in the future you can show the can opener cutting the can. Thanks!
LoL, I'm glad your kids enjoyed it. I knew I was at the wrong angle to see me open the can, but I was scared if I moved away from the camera, I would slide right out of frame 🤦. I'll do video opening another can, I have a vintage girlscout knife that I want to do a video on. Stay Tuned! lol
Antler is an awesome material ,durable , great to work with and looks beautiful , probably why man has been using it for thousands of years ,nice looking knife but I don't get why there still fitted with a cork screw ? Who has bottles with corks in them these days .
LoL Mat - I thought the same thing about the corkscrew tool. I think Boker still wants to keep it "Old School" & with that Humpback frame you'd need to fill that open spot with something else. Anyway, I was extremely lucky to get such great stag on this knife.. It's definitely a work of art. Have a great week my friend ✌️
Yes! That Puma stands alone in its beauty of Stag.. at least in my collection. Wife Mk1? lol Well, I'm glad she's there to help you out. There's really no enjoyment in opening a can of smelly beans anyway Slick. That's +1 in your column!✌️
I do like the Puma Stag a little bit better, but upon further review - most of my stag handled knives are similar to that of the Puma - so it's good to get something a little different for variety's sake.
I thought you were not putting out videos because I haven't been getting any notifications for a month. For some reason TH-cam had your channel bell turned completely off.
Beautiful Boker! I think you got a great one. The stag has a lot of bark and the sides seem well matched. Great lineup there! Be careful with those Voodoo Ranger IPAs, they’re a real arse kicker!😉
Lol! I found that out last night Hobie, I don't drink that often but when I do it's a couple Guinness stouts - But 2 Voodoo's kicked my arse! (as you so eloquently put it). Plus, the bonus was a cutout of the Ranger from the carton! Zen Ali gave me a heads up on where you & he got "The Ranger". I thought yours was a decal all this time! lol. Hope you don't mind If I display him in my background from time to time. The Boker camp is most definitely the best designed camp knife I've ever seen - Those beautiful covers on that cool frame is something every collector should own - whether they're vintage or new. Take Care Bud!✌️
Hello, nice collection and a good review. Yesterday i ordered a Sportmesser too. I am excitid to use it. Some users have written, that the steel isn't hard enough and the sharpness of the blades works not very long 🤔. Whats your experience in that point? Best wishes from germany. Sorry for my bad english.
Hi Marco, Your English is very good! Alot better than my German😂 I haven't been able to use mine alot, but from what I understand, Boker uses 4034 steel for this model. It's a steel that will get dull sooner than other steels, but it's easy to sharpen it to a razor edge. Here is 4034 steel defined: Classic blade steel from Solingen, which combines corrosion resistance with edge retention and is easy to sharpen. You picked a beautiful knife! I'm sure you will enjoy it! All the Best Thanks for watching!✌️
Hey Brother! I can't let this one go - I was so lucky to get one with premium stag covers. It's the best one I've ever seen. I have a couple friends that bought from the same seller. They are very nice - but this one is special. I can't say I'd never part with it - just not right now. Best wishes to you & yours my friend 🙏✌️
I completely understand Patrick.. I've seen & like the Fox stag scout very much. I also collect scouts, but with this Boker purchase, I wanted to get some high quality "Humpback" pattern camp knives going - I've acquired some very nice humpbacks since this video was posted. There is a video of them in my library. Take Care My Friend, Have a Great Weekend ✌️
Are you sure David? I see a hole in the liner that would put a pin on the right side of the shield..it may just be a guide hole so the shield stays straight when it's pressed in with glue.. What do you think?
The hole looks like it would line up to the right side of the shield (if you were looking at the face of the shield)..right at the 3 on a clock. Which would not only keep the shield straight it would add some strength to the adhesive. LoL.. maybe I'm retarded 🥴
Nice knife Brother. Your collection is phenomenal.
Thanks Rusty, I like the variety of knives I've acquired. Next up is some great looking $15 Frost knives I have!
Ive been looking at these for a while and decided today to pull the trigger on purchasing one. This video helped . Love that stag. And it will definately become my new EDC. thanks

Just got mine in the mail a few minutes. Awesome, and it replaces my old Vintage Western Camper. EDC definitely 👍
Awesome Joefox!👍
I’ve never been a fan of the camp knife pattern, but I do like a Solingen made knife on and good stag, so that puma is absolutely gorgeous to me.

Hello. Beautiful, a SAK with style and class. Same utility but with good looks. All the best.
Thanks Rhino, It's the same camp pattern Boker has used for decades, now I see why!
Nice one! I’ve seen older ones that look like that before, but never a new one. It’s a real beauty! Thanks for the look!
Thanks my friend!

That knife is beautiful. Thanks for giving us a look at it, and also for demonstrating the tools. Have a great Sunday, buddy.
Thanks David, glad you enjoyed it. Hope your Sunday was awesome! ATB
Great looking camp knife. I like the Boker stag best.
The covers definitely are well matched & beautiful - It seems like the German makers really find & use the best Stag possible.
Boker is very very beautifull, i have model pocket stag 🥰and your first model has reminded me
This is a gorgeous knife Ruben! I love the Stag that the German makers use. Puma, Boker, Klaas etc.
Just another great piece!!!!!!!! Your gettin a great collection going!!!!!!! Enjoy them Rickey take care bud!!!!!!!
Thanks Pete, it certainly checks the Camp Knife box!
Nice collection. Love the boker all of them making me drool 🤤 Great video 👍
Thanks Rex,
Boker has been doing a great job - still high quality, while adding a little innovation with materials & schemes✌️
Very good review! Thanks from Russia.

Ow my lord! What an amazing beautiful piece! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Love the stag on the Boker, also prefer the old shield to the latest Boker one with the black background around the chestnut tree 🦌
Good call Ian, the silver shield works much better for the stag covers, & to me - the black shield works better for wood covers.
Boker prefer the darker more colourful stag.
Beer and Beans, Happy Days.

That’s not too shabby! Still, I agree the Puma still reigns supreme! A SAK in a posh frock! I’ve a CV perfect tool to open cans, I call it a Wife Mk1.
