    Know my prayers are with you daily!
    Your stag collection just absolutely blows my mind. Just a fantastic collection.
    Nice little Rooster/Bulldog! Humpback. I think both brands were Parker at one time! Good blade selections with it I would say its a coping blade!
    One of these days I need to get a Sportmesser from Boker. That Zebu horn is absolutely stunning! What I like about the humpback is the location of the bail! No worries about a blade closing on it! Really fantastic collection you're building! Thanks for sharing! I've only got the one Camillus made Remington!

You are getting a lot of love in the community, I see it every day. I still think you have one of the most beautiful collections out there. And boy, it has been nasty hot here. Stay cool Rick, and keep on keepin on. Look forward to many more trips around the block! Thank you for sharing your fantastic collection with us. Much respect for what you do.👍✌🤞

      LoL, Yeah Fossil - they took 8 huge vials this time, normally it's been 5. But hey, if it helps them monitor the things that need monitoring, I'm all in.
      I heard SMKW was doing livestreams all day - so many TH-camrs put out NKD vids it must have been insane! To top it off, I didn't even buy a knife to celebrate.
      Slept through it all, when I did wake up every now & then, I was completely out of it.
      All is good I'm stronger today & I'll be even stronger tomorrow ✌️

    Hello! Paddy sent me . I don't know how I managed to miss this channel, but now that I know, I'll definitely be watching. Modern knives are great for utility and ease of use, but they don't have the same soul as traditionals , especially old vintage traditionals. Glad you had a good day and here's to more in the future!

    I always wanted to try this pattern and didn’t want to pay the going price of a Boker. Recently Messer HQ did a video on a 1996 reproduction of the Remington version made by Camillus. It has the same tool set with the exception of having an old style can opener. It has delrin covers and Remington blade stamps made in USA. The price difference was quite less than a Boker. It doesn’t have fancy material covers but, it still looks good for what it cost. They pop up on line often and some sell for $110 dollars or less. I bought a new in box one for $50 bucks and was lucky to get one at that price. I like the one I have so it is even harder to want a Boker now.✨🐗✨🔪👍

    You can see the quality of those knives clearly, most of them are a bit chunky for me but the wine barrel covers are gorgeous. I have an old, small sherry barrel that was in the rubbish because it had fallen apart so I took it for the wood, I am looking for a knife with crappy covers so that I can replace them with some sherry barrel.
    Those Zebu cattle are monsters, related to the bramah bulls that do so well in rodeo.

    Top notch as usual. I don't usually comment despite having been around for a while, having nothing useful to say, but wanted to extend my best wishes after seeing Paddy's video. Two useful-looking knives today, the whittler being more in my line but the Sportmesser is quite the showstopper.
    By the way, I met a zebu once, and goofy is the right word.

    Wishing you all the best sir. Sometimes life tries to test our fortitude but we must find a way to persevere. I hope good health lies ahead of you. I really enjoy your videos which have made me appreciate the history of traditional knives. While I mainly collect more modern knives or fixed blades, I have become interested in getting a traditional folder. Do you have a recommendation for a good traditional knife at a decent price. There's so many to choose from that I don't know where to start. Boker or Case?

    • @Warthogg1
      @Warthogg1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey zdan420,
      Thanks for the words of encouragement my friend!
      I kinda short sell my appreciation for Modern Folders & Fixed Blades. It's just that I find traditional knives fascinating. Sure, you need 2 hands to open a traditional knife, but that just gives you more time to admire it... LoL
      My suggestion is get yourself a 2 blade Case Barlow in any cover material that you like. Of course Stag handles will cost more. But the rest go for $55 or there about. You'll find the 2 blades on the Barlow will compliment your, most likely bigger blade on your modern.
      I like to carry a ZT801BW in my right pocket & a 2 Blade Barlow in my left. I found it to be a perfect combo.
      check this out, an old vid but the Case Barlow ended up being one of my most carried knives.

      @@Warthogg1 Many thanks for your recommendation. Do you know if Boker still makes their traditional folders in Germany or are they assembled in China? There's so many beautiful knives out there and looking for the right one is half the fun. Traditional knives are timeless and add a dash of class to your everyday carry. I recently read that Abe Lincoln was carrying a really nice looking multi blade folder on the night of his assassination. I guess he was a knife guy like us. Too bad he didn't get the chance deploy it.

    • @Warthogg1
      @Warthogg1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Boker "Magnum" brand & Boker Plus Barlows are made in China, which get the job done, but you may end up with lemon that has some blade play..( I have 2 Boker "Magnums", both have some blade play - although one is satisfactory for the price.)
      The Boker Germany knives are very high quality, but a bit pricey.
