As you can tell by my name, the trapper is my favorite traditional knife pattern. I carry one every day and sometimes a barlow.

Love my CASE Medium Stockman. Always in my pocket and used nearly every day. My tackle box is home to my Swiss Army I bought 30 years ago. In my opinion they are an unbeatable duo. Love them both. Great video 👍

I love Case knives. My Dad carried one everyday, usually a Stockman. I carried a Sodbuster when I was a teenager then for a dress pants knife I loved the Slimline Trapper. They are just a classy knife. For field dressing I used a Schrade Old Timer Sharpfinger with a gut hook, back when I was able to hunt.
Many years ago, an officer of the Secretary of State Police gave me a Kershaw Scallion and my edc has been a Kershaw of some sort ever since. Their Speedsafe opening mechanism was the first that I was aware of and they are razor sharp out of the box.
I’ve learned a lot over the years and one thing is While I’d rather not lose any knife, I’d rather lose a $25 Kershaw than a $125 Case.
Also, never use a knife as a screwdriver and never use one to pry with except staples out of paper.
Keep a low profile folks. Sensible Prepper, I love your channel.

My absolute favorite knife is a Case 3 blade with Wooly Mammoth Tusks scales. The box insert says the tusks are fossilized and came from Siberia Russia and it is a limited addition. My wife gave it to me for our 20th wedding anniversary a few years back. She hit a home run with this one. Beautiful knife.

I need to get an exhanger, but i have the same hobo and a couple of trappers. The trappers are allright but i really prefer them when hunting. Now for everyday carry I can always be found with a stockman in the 3.5" to 4.25" range. Three different blades is hard to beat especially when you also carry a fourth modern folder.

There were many knife makers in the new England area just after the columnists started fighting the British, to get them to leave. After the war, they went on to make quality flatware.
I prefer the Camilus and Imperial knives since they are considered the oldest in the USA. My favourite knife is the stockman. When I was a BoyScout, I carried a hobo knife, since I used most of the blades when backpacking, especially the fork & spoon!
My latest acquisition is a Sabre stockman with a bone handle, made in the 1960s, that I keep in my classic 1963 GT car.

Case knives are made in Bradford, Pennsylvania. There are two other knife manufacturers in northwest PA, in Titusville: Queen knives and Great Eastern Cutlery. Then there is Channelock in Meadville. Fine crafted knives and tool made in USA.

I'll never buy a case knife again. Bought a 130$ collector's edition knife for my grandfather as a Christmas gift. It had a quarter inch unpolished finish on the blade with the engraving.. three week response time. Customer service was completely incompetent.
And the worst part is I've loved cause cutlery for years, have over a dozen. And this experience has completely ruined my perception of both the products and the company.

Well now i want a Hobo too! I have often wondered why everyone is carrying these one bladed knives these days? I have a few and i get it. I cut nothing with them, they stay sharp for self defense. I carry a case stockman in my pocket, it has three blades and i cut everything with it and resharpen when needed. I also carry a couple of small multi tools as well. I have plenty of small blades. I never use my tactical one, I have never needed to yet. If you want to one up the stockman, get a congress.

I love case and have a number of them in my assortment of traditional users, traditional knives are the only way to go with me ( these are the traditional knives, not those modern ones )
I've had a Texas jack in amber jigged bone and CV in my pocket every day for the past few months and it's been one of my most carried this year.
Their trappers are nice but I don't do two blade trappers, I've gotta have one blade that's shorter than the other.
The only major complaint many have about Case is the fact that she shields are glued on instead of pinned, but it doesn't bother me and I have yet to get a bad knife and I rarely inspect them in person.
My only real complaint is thst they don't offer everything I every handle material and blade steel and blade finish.
I'd love a Slimline trapper In amber jigged and CV blades, but it's also don't prefer the looks of the mirrored blades and would like them I as ground.

During that period of time the company was “I think” having internal problem and it shows in the fit and finish of my knife. Gee I wish I could show y’all how poor the build quality if. The blades are decent but the build is just not up to snuff.

What do you do that requires a lock? I used to think a lock was mandatory but been using slip joints for 7+years or so now and have yet to have one snap on my fingers. If you actually hold it at the choil you reinforce it open and you can feel If it starts folding. Imo you only need a lock if you stab stuff real hard.
