I think the moral of the story is...even the decks we don't use teach us something, and there's always value in that no matter what! You're definitely not alone.
The theme for me for 2022 - is shop at home first before going to buy! I have lots of decks to use, books to read, craft supplies, and clothes to wear! I'm trying hard to watch my consumption on everything! Thank you for the video 💖

@@HazelJaneTarot I guess our newer decks push the older faves back. There are only so many hours in the day. I wasn’t even aware that there was a special edition of the Gaian Tarot. What are you doing to me? 😆
exactly feeling the same too about my deck acquisition. so fun listening to you talk about your decks. im not horrified about you not using these decks I have so many too that haven been used. I feel like I need to squeal don't get rid of the ceccoli but that's me projecting because I know the ceccoli is vitally important in my practice and is never leaving me. hope you had an amazing Christmas my friend, thank you so much for your videos throughout the year ive looked forward to each and every one. wishing you the best 2022 ❤❤❤
I think with the Ceccoli, I love the art (I have earrings of her art. Lol) and I found it interesting to read with when I got it. But I've just not found a way to use it yet that works for me. The box is little. It'll store until I figure it out!
I feel the same about the Dark Mansion. I think it’s beautiful, but I never pick it up. It will stay in my collection, though, just because I enjoy the art. I really appreciate that you show how we can keep things just because they bring us joy even if we aren’t using them all the time. It seems that there has been a lot of focus on culling lately (I also just took a bag of decks to the bookstore to sell), so I appreciate the sense of balance that you strike.
Aw thank you! I have felt at times like I "should" reduce my collection, but I like all the pretty things! Displaying it well is more important to me at the moment as decks have been stuffed in a wardrobe from lack of space.
I don't pressure myself to use all my decks. I am a lot more careful about what I buy anymore. I love hearing about people's experience with the Shimmering Veil, but I knew I'd never use it...so I didn't get it. It's as if I want to break the 'code' of a deck...like Ceccoli and Druidcraft AND Spirit Keeper's! and then I can just let it rest. I like having them for that certain time or reading when it's like AHA! I HAVE JUST THE DECK FOR THAT! and then put it back on the shelf. I do have a few decks I need to move on, and just two more coming from Kickstarter. But 2022 is a no-buy for me.

I'm in the UK so I bought it from Little Red Tarot which is an online retailer for indie decks. The creator, Cedar McCloud , has their own website selling in the US numinousspiritpress.com/
I feel the same about my collection .. if I could see more of them when I go to pull I might use them more. The Druid craft was also my go to when I first got it, I’m sad it got pushed aside. I’m going to try and work with what I have this year too - let’s see how far I get 😂 Thanks for sharing this !
I wonder if I'll ever edit it down and get rid of lots and end up just with those main decks like Druid Craft again. Good luck with working with what you have! I know I'll find it hard. The shopping is so much fun!
I feel the same about my collection...I have many decks I love but I didn't use them this year. In 2022 I want to spend more time with the decks I already have and avoid adding many new ones to my collection. I feel that with the death card as my numerological card of the year and the tower as the drawn card of the year, it may be a personal call from the Universe to focus on what is really important for me and to do a reset! :) Personally, I love the Dark Mansion. It puts a smile on my face! :) The Ceccoli, on the other hand, is a deck I never managed to connect much with. I like the artwork but I find it a very depressing reader. I think it gives dark readings but in a creepy way. While I have much "darker" decks that expose problem areas but don't feel creepy at all. So, currently, I am not using the Ceccoli for any readings...but we'll see, I may change the way I see this deck in the future. It has happened to me before with other decks, so I am not too quick to get rid of decks I don't particularly like or use. :)
Yes if you've got the storage space there's no rush to move things on. Yes I agree Ceccoli has a sinister vibe as a reader. I like so many of the pictures though. I do sometimes think of using it for a craft project!
I love PreRaphaelite art, but that's actually why I've resisted getting that deck--it's not original art, and I don't care for the ways in which they "interpreted" it.

One of my very FAVES is the Everyday Tarot! I LOVE the artwork, find it soothing and easy to work with. But I totally understand your viewpoint.
