This includes discussion of the Brigid's Cross and Brat Brid, my personal impressions of some books about Brigid, photos and stories of visiting sites sacred to Brigid in Ireland. Just to reiterate you do not NEED any of these things to work with Brigid! I am not claiming to be an authority. This is just my journey at the moment.

    Being born over a threshold was actually likely common. Bracing yourself against a bed, counter, person, wall, or even a doorframe is common. At least in home births. Back then most homes likely only had one door… So it actually makes sense! I’ve been looking for books on Brigid and this video has been so helpful. And thank you for sharing about your pilgrimages. It was so interesting! Also, I bet if you email the nuns they could mail you a CD or give you info on it. 😊

    I want this so much~~~ And it isn't anymore in print... :( That 8 of pentacles is creating peace of mind with a balanced body. A lot of eastern martial arts are more about perfecting the mind state through discipline of the body and that's why they take years to master and ascend in level. The deck has such respectful cultural diversity that I'm amazed. The only thing I can spot as outright wrong is the four of wands, because pointing out with chopsticks is considered very rude in Japan. Tattooing in most most tribal practices (six of wands) is related to being accepted in the tribe as an adult. It's a sign of officially belonging somewhere and coming out of age. So it is always followed with some sort of celebration. The 10 of wands being a crow with their eggs and the murder in the back is probably talking about the responsibility of child-rearing and pretty sure the fact that crows have long term memory as a pack may play a role in the cards depiction. The four of swords relates with the rule for the samurai to put away their swords when they were in a tea ceremony to show respect and enjoy the tranquility. The man sitting in a seiza pose (sitting on your legs) highlights the fact that he isn't gonna be fighting or being alert, because this type of sitting makes your legs numb (on purpose). The son of swords is a reference to sword dancing (cue: the fingers). It's known for grace and speed but this wouldn't be able to be easy to be depicted with just one image.

    I learn so much from Benebell’s videos & writings online. I’d love to watch a video about Spirit Keepers decks! Specifically, I’d like to know what kind of new spiritual/divinatory/occult/tarot insights come from studying her works. I’ve been stuck into the Mary-El for about a year; understanding her guidebook has been a rewarding journey. I haven’t come across many creators that aspired to make a tarot like Marie White, so I’m eager to hear stories about decks that can deepen our knowledge of the tarot and beyond

      Thanks so much for watching. I'll be honest my in depth study of the SKT didn't continue past a few months. But I do find it a pretty easy deck to use. I've not made any videos this year but that will go on my list for when I do. Agreed about Benebell's videos and blog - I always learn a lot! I've never used the Mary El but I think that sort of long term use of one deck is really meaningful.

    • @oyoyoyo7624
      @oyoyoyo7624 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HazelJaneTarot I’m thankful to have chosen the Mary-El as my proper introduction to tarot, since it incorporates Thoth & Marseille & Smith-Waite, and multiple mythologies (Greek, Norse, Egyptian), Tree of Life, Old Testament angels, Buddhism, Jung & Nietzsche, to create a mystical blend of cosmology. Benebelle’s knowledge of multiple spiritual systems gives me the impression that I’ll also love learning with the SKT & the Book of Maps. I found you through your Rich Black Tarot video, and liked your energy and appreciation of that art. Since your channel’s videos are new to me, I can enjoy videos you’ve already shared, while you enjoy time *not* making tarot-tube content :) It’s cool that you resonated with the African Goddess Rising Oracle. A month before Covid, 950km from home, I sat with a priest and received a shockingly accurate Ifá divination (from the culture Oshun, Oya, and Yemaya belong to, as seen in your Goddess Rising deck). No longer agnostic regarding divinatory practices, I got my first tarot deck-an Orisha tarot-during lockdown. Coming into contact with glimpses beyond the veil of life as I knew it is such an adventure! Best wishes to you and yours.

    What a great walk through…thanks a million- I will go back through this in detail and try to workout what each one means as it’s hard with the limited guidebook and like you said the different interpretations … ☘️ I love Bridget and the temperance card too it’s mesmerising and yes she is always the firey 🔥 depiction …my middle name is Bridget after my nana from. Co Clare and she’s my spirit guide and you’re right the artwork is immaculate I!…I got this in the tiny deck so I need to zoom on the images first off from your video and take notes of the symbols and details 😆 this… True so true Finn should be the logical Sword king 😆 The Empress is just perfect that picture just makes me homesick and proud and is a pleasure of a treasure Pmsl at Keira Knightly 😂 So the teeny deck version booklet only gives the first 5-13 word definitions eg at the feast of Bealtaine 🤷‍♂️ 😝 and that’s it so I might have to use this as a clarification deck as opposed to reading from this deck initially 🤦🏻‍♀️ yes I agree with you about the little white book 📖 some of those words cannot be horsed out I’m with you the devil is a Durty looking Willy man haaaaa. The dragons threw me on the king of swords too? I’d absolutely love to hear how you would actually read with this using your tarot knowledge & do a card walkthrough on your interpretation Thanks for this very insightful run through I have to agree and even the small ones just shuffle in your palm stunningly it’s like it belongs, perfect paper Delighted I did a search to get some info on this deck or I never would’ve stumbled in your channel 👏
