excellent video, even thou things are slightly different on a RHD, but just one note. When I used the 32 on the Fan, the whole unit just turned, you will need two 32 spanner, one slim one normal both with a long handle (or you slip the new belt over the blades of the vent)
Good video, well explained. A shame it is too dark and we cannot see details the mechanic refers to. Please edit the video increasing brightness and reload.
Hello, please tell me how much pressure do you put on the main belt tensioner (pump, pulley, generator)? if I pull hard, an unpleasant knock appears, bmw m62, I loosen everything well..
Doug, Would you typically recommend replacing tensioners and pulleys at the same time that the belts are placed? How often do these parts wear out compared to belts? I'm replace water pump, and decided to swap in new belts at the same time. SHould tensioners and pulleys be replaced too?
Thank you for replying. It's a 2011 full size Range Rover HSE. Only at about 72000 miles. I have a very small leak in the water pump and therefore as part of replacing that I'm replacing the belts too
The pulleys on this model aren't known for premature failure. When you're replacing the belts, check the pulleys for looseness or roughness when turned as a precaution, but unless they either feel loose or rough, you won't have to replace them.
Thanks Doug ! One more video to enhance my skills on the Rover.
One of the best video! Thanks for your help

One of the best videos I've seen on TH-cam so far! Excellent. what's the labor time on this?
For 03-04 the labor time is about 20 minutes, for 04-05 it's about hour and 20 minutes.

Atlantic British, do those belts operate the ac as well???
how do i remove the fan if the belt is not holding the pully in place
use a rubber oil filter strap but one needs to cut the old belt works every time
Is there a chance you have a video for the head gasket replacemant ...or would you know a reliable video for me to go by
Yours dont have the AC lines above the fan shroud.
No other mechanic wants to work on my Rover once it has a problem they look at me crazy like 😲😲🤯 no we don't fix rovers here

Hi Praneeth,
What is the year, model and mileage of your Rover?
Thank you for replying. It's a 2011 full size Range Rover HSE. Only at about 72000 miles. I have a very small leak in the water pump and therefore as part of replacing that I'm replacing the belts too

Thanks so much. Very helpful. Love your videos and the availability of parts and kits at Atlantic British.
Does this apply to a 2008 Range Rover Supercharged?
Hi Gord, this video only applies to the 03-05 Range Rover Full Size. The 08 Range Rover Supercharged is a different engine.
Would this work on my 08 range rover sport supercharged
Would this be the same procedure for a 2012 Range Rover Supercharged?
Hi Vido, unfortunately, this would not be the same procedure for the 2012 Range Rover Supercharged.
Cannot get fan bolt off.....
this engine wants more attention than a woman
hoo its looks same as bmw engine
aneesh babu it is a Bmw engine.
