I sure hate that Ryan died because I always thought he was the most like-able of the whole gang and I thought if anyone was gonna go out it would be Steve-O so it really goes to show you that sobriety can be achieved by anybody, and who you think will or won't make it in life can really surprise you sometimes.

His recovery is nothing short of a miracle. For someone THAT deep into the depths of hell to get out of it as he has and become a beacon for hope means that anyone can do it. I was the stereotypical bridge dwelling opiate addict for a couple of years before I decided enough was enough. Now I'm finishing up my first year of medical school and Steve-O's story was definitely part of the reason I thought I could do it.
