After seeing this review I got the light. Took 17 days to get from China to New England. Cost $53. It is a very impressive light for that price. I wish it had blinkies, lightning, other fun stuff, but that is ok.
Well considering the price it's one of the few I both really want and can afford. I just realized too I think this is the channel that I discovered the fireflies e07 on and that's been a really solid light too.
i got the nitecore TM9K but i feel the smaller they get the shorter you can run them with high lumen outputs. the TM9K will get so hot after 5 to 10 seconds that i cant hold it in hand anymore. yes its cool to have 10000 lumens. but its not so cool you can only use that like 5 seconds. then it ramps down to half or even less.
@@avgrim7729 me. for sure. you cant have enough lumen. ever. i love it. but i wish they would increase performance by forced cooling on smaller lights as well. haha
Didn't understood. So you want highest possible turbo to be available or not? No matter how high will be efficiency of the led, there is still be an option to push it too high to run longer than a few seconds.
@@mydayq what i say is make smaller lights with forced cooling. turbo can be short time as a boost option to get extreme high output. but as it is now the output is high for like 3 seconds. and then the light is so hot that you cant either touch it anymore without gloves and also not use the normal 100% lumen option. its ramping straight down to 50% only. and it stays there for long time. if you use the turbo even just once your fancy light becomes useless because not bright enough for normal tasks. increase cooling are and/or put a small fan in to reduce the low output time after press turbo button.
@Potassium Syndicate that will do nothing but spread heat to your fingers faster. might give you some seconds more light but second degree burns while you at it.
Why is the spill so blinding? Is it the cooler coler? What could be done to make that better without killing much of the output? I do want the spill area and throw but just not so blinding.
if anyone is wondering regarding the v2, you have to have the light on to doubletap to turbo. Not recommended for tactical applications, click-tap-tap is too unreliable and slow
So, technically those SFH55.2 LED’s require A LOT of amps from a battery to drive all 3 well. Rated lumen is 7800 lumen each, So without watching this video (i’m about to), the assumption then is that 14500 should be attainable at a lower amp draw that a quality 21700 (or larger) provides using 3 SFH55.2 chips. My guess (again having not yet watched the video) is that 14500 lumens on even the best Molicel or Samsung 30t/40t battery will not be achievable. though it will still be stupidly bright and about the brightest Li-on single cell flashlight around. This flashlight is triple the setup of the Astrolux FT03. The FT03 uses just one of the SFH55.2’s more powerful sister chip, the SFH55 (9100Lmn cont, 14200 peak) and it attempts to do so off of one 21700 cell. So, using just 1 SFH55 chip and considering Astrolux’s claimed 9300 lumen for the FT03, even using the best cells, it can’t achieve the rated continuous lumen output of 9100 for the SFH55 chip, let alone the claimed 9300 lumen that Astrolux claims in turbo mode. I assume Astrolux/Banggood did some napkin math and realized 14200 lumen wasn’t doable but surely 9300 is…seems reasonable 😂 I believe 7000lumen is all that can be expected from the F03 and yet it’s still a great light. It’s just that the driver will take everything it can from a battery and the battery will heat up. It’s going to be hard on them. I wish hey just did 2 batteries only. Anyhow, you can see why I’m dubious about any such claims from a triple SFH55.2 equipped flashlight. It logically makes sense to claim the brightness that they do, obviously they derated the performance from the technical 21,000 lumen capability to 14,000+ Lumen to be at least reasonable with the specs, but I jus don’t see how a single battery will handle the draw necessary. I say this because the SFH55.2 will draw 28.8 amps to achieve 6900 lumen on startup. With 3 of them, maybe somehow the math works for a split second at startup, but 14,000 lumen seems totally impossible for 1 battery for more than a few seconds. EDIT: having watched the video, ya, the turbo mode is cute, but basically a technicality. It will provide that performance for only as long as the batteries peak amp draw can be achieved which is a short spike. ANSI at 7300 lumen kind of makes the point. Turbo mode, in at least the way we’ve all come to expect it to operate is about max brightness (or close to it) for 30 seconds and then a precipitous reduction in lumen after that due to a combination of thermal limiting and perhaps voltage sag. So with this light, I assume a thermal limit isn’t a concern and the batteries internal resistance and voltage sag limits turbo mode output immediately. I think this light has more value in the modes below turbo, though I have to hand it to them, they do nearly achieve claimed output, no matter how briefly on a single cell and that’s mind blowing…especially considering it gets the best results from a no-name brand cell. Mind blown again. This is a good light, and compared to the Astrolux FT03, at least this light reviewed here is a coherent mix of fairly truthful marketing and performance. Please note, I’m an internet moron, so I’m open to correction on anything I’m not quite understanding.

@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Is it easy to get into turbo on this light? I had an NI40 over two years ago and the button wasn't good. Это чертовски хороший фонарик!
$70 American dollars. Not terrible for all that power in such a small light but I’m undecided because it’s not the most attractive looking flashlight. I like my lights to look slick too.
It actually looks and feels nicer in person that it does on camea. Unfortunately my light was DOA and I got ghosted when I attempted to RMA the light. Also, my wait time was 4 months...
my EDC torch has 80,000 lumens so this isnt the brightest then is it?
I love big pockets.

Is nealsgadget reliable?
It's a popular place for Flashlights so sometimes people can wait a while for stock to come back in.

@ALOK MISHRA is there a request refund option on your order?
Incredible - the name is the game. Next level flashlight. Very impressive. Thanx bro. Again - nice background music. Love it
Very fun light, it won't suit every niche but god does it hit hard
