There’s really no girl groups like THIS anymore 😭💔 and it’s so depressing not just for me, but for young girls and women today such as my Niece who don’t have this kind of unity and love between women to look up to since the earlier 2000’s & 2010’s. There are many solo artists who are amazing to watch and even emulate, but I just really miss THIS! The harmonies, the sisterhood, the teamwork, and the unity. I grew up on Destiny’s Child and the Spice Girls. I also listened to 90s groups like SWV, TLC, Xscape and En Vogue as well, but that was more my older sisters’ age groups as we were born 10 & 6 years apart….but still, I used to love hearing my sisters play their CDs in the car and be singing and dancing on the way to the mall lol or just on our stereo in the bedrooms we had to share. The last mainstream girl groups (that I can think of/remember) were Danity Kane, Fifth Harmony and…… probably the Pussycat Dolls. But, I’m hoping history will repeat itself, which it always does, and that in the very near future there will be at least 2 or 3 all female singers who come together that are talented, beautiful, and can create new memories and moments for little girls like me who grew up on Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child 👧🏽🩷
