    My mom drives a '15 Elantra GT and we like it a lot. It picks up nicely for a sub 20k car and was a pretty good deal. Its spacious for its size with a nice comfortable ride for its short wheelbase. Averaging 31-32 mpg too in mixed driving!

      Had a Dart as a rental once while They where fixing My usual ride, A Dodge Grand Caravan. It was pretty nice. A bit cramped compared to the van, but it had some nice features, Felt nice and compact, and was a million times better than a Chevy Spark, the worst Rental Car i've ever been in.

    I've had my Dart Rallye sport for 4 years now and have put over 80k miles. As a proud owner I have never had any issues and with a K&N cold air intake it is at 200HP and 190 torque. The automatic sounds great and it has awesome pick me up. With some Estrada sport tires and stiff suspension I can corner hard and it is a pleasure to drive. I tried the Elenatra and it is somewhat comfortable, but looks terrible and it takes years to rev up, also corners pretty poorly.
    Those are my 2 cents.

    AutoGuide.com Hey Guys. I love watching your videos. They are informative and entertaining.
    Isn't your company Canadian?
    -You always show fuel consumption in MPG.... I agree that L/100km is annoying but that is the Canadian standard.
    -I've also noticed that you refer to American warranties instead of Canadian......I find that to quite misleading.
    Being Canadian and having been in the car industry for 12 years, misinformation like this creates a lot of confusion and disappointment for the consumer. Not to mention, huge headaches for the retailer.
    Thanks!

    The Elentra GT does not have heated rear seats (the standard Elentra has those), nor does it have a heated steering wheel. The reviewers should get their facts right before throwing it out there to the world that the car comes equipped with those.

    in all the other dart reviews I've seen the reviewer always says get the manual but this guy has the manual but says get the automatic well which is it? at least with the manual you can put the car in the right gear. being more of a sports car fan I would probably take the money you could spend on either of these cars and buy a used BMW or audi and use the saved money on repair costs.

    Why I appreciate your reviews especially of everyday cars that we can actually afford, why not compare apples to apples like Sentra vs Corolla, Dart Vs Jetta, Elantra GT vs Impreza 5 door. I know these compete in the same "class", but I can't see someone cross-shopping these two or any of your recent econo-car comparisons. Great reviews just mismatched cars.

      TheBluehornz01 Ok but what about the ugly exterior? Touch screen so far away? Tiny interior and the fact that Fiesta is almost dead last on reliability surveys from owners?? How did you get past those things to buy a Fiesta ST?

    • @TheBluehornz01
      @TheBluehornz01 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your made up reliability claims fool no one. By the way, the Fiesta ST was a Car & Driver's 10 best, Motorweek's Driver's Choice Award winner for Best Sub Compact, & Autobytel's 2014 Compact of the Year. It's won more than that, but that's just off the top of my head. Sorry you are butt hurt. If subjective looks & the "far away touch screen" are your strongest points against the ST, then I'd say that's REALLY damn good. Perhaps your car is lacking? You sorta sound like a pissed off teenager.Maybe you should go "build more farms" and leave automobiles to the grown folks.

    I was looking for a new car and drove just about everything, dodge (dart) chevy (sonic and Cruze) Honda (fit) ford (focus and fiesta non turbo, the SE models) and on and on until choosing the Elantra gt. Easy choice. The warranty can't be touched. It is by far more capable than the others in this segment/money point. The ride is surprisingly similar to larger, more expensive cars. The engine and transmission operate smoothly and the mileage is very good. I've had mine for 3 years and it still drives near as it did driving off the lot new. I'm 6'5" and have a decent amount of room but I find most cars aren't going to be super roomy at my height. 70k miles and it's been solid, zero issues. Good car.

      Malte Micha Dart had a lot of potential, but Chrysler has a chronic condition that causes them to waste billions of research dollars on silly shit that no one wants. I hope they die out because GM and Ford fought very hard to turn themselves around, and Chrysler does NOT need another bailout.

      gyashel that's because your average consumer won't do their research into what's reliable and well built and what isn't. they see a car they like the looks of, test drive it, and buy it. Chrysler hasn't built a decent car in over a decade

      Saben Coupland Chrysler hasn't built anything close to decent in at least two decades or more. On top of that, they refuse to build a dedicated subcompact or hybrid, and they keep pumping out a bunch of useless "most powerful production" bullshit. Honestly, who the fuck is going to buy a 707hp Grand Cherokee?!

    why choose the Dart when you can have an Elantra with 100,000 miles powertrain warranty?

      TukTuk Syko why choose 100,000 mile warranty when you can get a lifetime?

    • @cntrollerfanboy
      @cntrollerfanboy 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +TukTuk Syko My dart also has a 100,000 mile warranty. Lol look up your info before you post stupid comments. Dodge still offered a 100k powertrain with all of their vehicles until 2016. However, If I recall correctly with Hyundai their warranty is gone if you get a used one. I believe the bumper to bumper on Hyundai is the 100k you speak of, but limited in some cases. But you specifically stated powertrain, which in that case both have that option when this video was released.

      Dart is sluggish on acceleration, the Bering Joints on the dart Heat up and go bad uncontrollably, Braking issues from overheating Causing the brake fluid to boil. faulty faulty master slave brake cylinder. Uconnect flashes on and off and is buggy! talked with Dodge Engineers about it, they refused to fix it! both the dart and the 200 got the AXE in 2016! It also depends on where you live! the lifetime warranty wasn't offered where i'm at! I fixed most of my Dodge troubles by my self. Ill never buy dodge again! its Mercedes or Tesla from here on out.

    At the end of the day the Dart is a Chrysler product with poor reliability, cheap materials. Styling aside, (because beauty is in the eye of the beholder and subjective) the Elantra wins hands down easily. Lets not forget the warranty. Lets see the Chrysler put that on the Dart. It will never happen and everyone knows why.....

    I'm on neither side...
    The Dart is a Americanized (read: bloated) Italian car and the Elantra is an efficient but boring Korean car.

    • @expiredpancake8198
      @expiredpancake8198 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's the thing. In car culture, people aren't aloud to not have sides, it's always: "Go on, pick a team. ANY team, you have to have an opinion!"
      Personally, I'm just a Brand Snob, so I'd pick the Dodge Dart given the same amount of money. But I'm not anti Hyundai. I really appreciate their desire to be an American Company. They create 94,000 Jobs all across the U.S, and over 50% of all the cars the make are assembled in the U.S, which is probably more than Dodge. I consider Hyundai to be more American than GM, given that they focus more on international sales now, and even then most of the cars they sell here are assembled in Mexico.

    I would take the Dart any day of the week much nicer and contrary to a lot of people say I have lot more reliable my opinion I used to have a 2014 Hyundai Elantra biggest pile of s*** I ever drove I barely had that car one year and the seat started rattling like crazy had issues with the turn signal on one side and I start having a weird noise underneath the dash that I could not find out what was going on and the trim pieces start coming apart took it to the dealership they fixed one or two things that was wrong with it but refuse to fix the seat stating that they couldn't duplicate the issue and they couldn't find out where that noise was and they couldn't fix the turn signal issue either so screw Hyundai Dodge all the way.
