【Naihanchi Analysis 5】This uraken is not a uraken?!

- The theme of this video is an analysis of the jo-ge-uke to ura-ken action.
I now use the expression "ura-ken" for illustrative purposes, but in the classic Naihanchi, actually, this is not ura-ken.
So what is this action if it is not ura-ken?
I also compare the classic Naihanchi with the Okinawa-Shorin (Kobayashi) ryu Naihanchi and the Shotokan Tekki, which were influenced by the modifications of Itosu Anko, and discuss how the movements of these schools went to be modified.

Many thanks Shihan, you are very inspirational.
You're welcome and thank you for your comment. Osu!!👊
Thanks for explaining in English so we can understand. It was very clear.
Thanks for the comment. I will try to continue to post good videos. Osu!!🙂
Finally a new video! Thank you sensei! Osu!
Sorry for the long wait.
I will try to post the next video a little sooner.😅
Wow, I've never really thought of Kata in that way before. The kata that makes you stronger is the correct kata. This was the first video of yours that I saw and I really appreciate the way you explain your thoughts on kata and bunkai, since I have also thought that the majority of bunkai is not very effective.
Thank you for your comment.
To use an analogy, to interpret kata in bunkai is a geocentric theory. The sun is moving is fundamentally wrong, even though it appears correct.
Likewise, to interpret Naihanchi in bunkai is fundamentally wrong.
I am presenting my interpretation of Naihanchi as a heliocentric theory on this channel. Be sure to check out my other kata videos as well.
Hello from NorwayThank you for your video.I practice Okinawa karate and I totally agree.
Thank you for your comments.
I worked hard to make this video and it was worth it. 😉
OSU! Shihan. I think so with your opinions.
I've always wondered if karate's training system (stretching, basic, kata, and kumite etc.) is not connected, but I'm learning from a great teacher and solving questions.
Thank you very great video always. OSU!
from. A korean student
Thank you for your passionate comments.
It was worth all the hard work I put into it.
Please look forward to the next video.😉
Osu!!
Great video! If I understand correctly your interpretation is that the movement is not an attack but an "exercise" to strenghten the practicioner's zuki? right? Osu from Brazil!
Exactly.
Naihanchi gives you a weapon to fight with.
That weapon is primarily a strong and fast tsuki.👊

Thank you for the good video. I'm wondering, if someone practiced naihanchi diligently but didn't really know the meaning and interpretation, could he or she still see improvement in techniques such as basic tsuki?
Thank you for your comment.
The answer is "yes" and "no".
It's a very good question and I'll make it the subject of my next video.
For now, you can watch this video.
