The bit I'd love to have in iRacing from AMS2 is the Madness Engine (from Project Cars 2) graphics. Even today they look as good as any sim on the market.
Yep, it's better than i racing What's the reason to spend over $100 a year excluding new cars or tracks for a game that looks crap even in VR. It seems it's just a money-making sim. I racing doesn't listen to their members to what they want. As for Reiza they listen to their members and give us this amazing sim.
Coming from a similar background to you, AMS2 feels a lot more alive. I think iRacing needs to catch up a bit ( and I know they are, but maybe they need to speed up a bit ).
@@kolysion164 I don't care what Max plays, it has no bearing on what I do with my time. In what way does it feel arcade? The FFB feels very good to me. Yes, it adds effects other than you feel through the steering column, but so do all the other sims apart from iRacing. The argument for that is that we don't get the g-forces in a rig so they help us feel the car. LMU does it, RF2 does it, ACC does it. iRacing is the only one that does not. If you prefer that, good for you. I find the driving dull and joyless in iRacing but if it makes you happy that's great. But I don't see how AMS2 feels arcade. Have you even tried 1.6?
Rolling starts and FCY still need fine tuning. People are cheesing the rolling starts because only the pole sitter has a speed limit of 120kph. FCY are a problem because as you stated there's no speed limit and you have to go flat out until you catch the pace car. The other short coming is there is no pass throughs or reorganizing of the field so if youre in a GTP and get stuck behind a GTD and you havent caught the field, you cant pass that GT so you're stuck behind that GT until the flag goes green. There is also no speed limit on FCY except the race leader behind the pace car so its easy for people to cheese race restarts too. I honestly think the AI have taken huge steps back in race strategies and still have issues with recognizing player movements. It is guaranteed that if the AI is near your bumper and you do what a lot of drivers do and try and close the door the AI will just drive through you as if you're not there. It just creates a racing environment against them where you have to drive very passively unless you want to get wrecked out. Their pit strategies also got fucked up and they pit way too frequently now with no logic what so ever.
I've watched a lot of videos where people compare any simulator with iRacing. Someone says that tires heat up more slowly or behave differently when they are warmed up. But what surprises me in these reviews is that no review says that in this simulator the car behaves more realistically on the track, but in this simulator it is less realistic. It is the criterion of realism that should be the most important and not how one simulator differs from another.
@@Scientist-exe james baldwin has spoken on this subject.. i racing behaves realistically as long as you drive under the limit which in and of its self detracts from realistic race driving how ever under that limit it is very good... lets hope the new tire model brings it more in line with ACs behaviour at and over the limit.. shame they are releasing it on 2 high down force cars first.. a class which already masks those issues due to the nature of those cars
Best graphics❤ and……..did you see the fps performanche with that graphics? Outstanding no other simulator give me that much fps
@@bwm9637 the Madness Engine is incredibly efficient. Probably because Project Cars 2 also released on PS4 and Xbox One which had very weak CPUs.

I don't get all that polarization.
Both are great at their current state with their respective pros and cons.
End of story.

alive ? but it feels arcade, not today max verstappen will play AMS2 :D
They are releasing the new tire model and physics to a certain class of cars in 2 days
@@davidslute9546 who iRacing ?

Max also plays FIFA. He likes playing competitive games and iRacing is where the competition is, nothing more, nothing less.
You can set up the relitive in the hud menu while on track.
@Raptor-N-L thx, found it a day or 2 after

This year is beta time on LFM next year the elo ratings set you in your own rating class so no lunatics
We can only hope for no Lunatics.... doesn't seem to hinder them in iRacing or LMU 😉😂😂
You have high hopes lol
The player base is gonna have to increase dramatically to make the rating system effective.
@@davidslute9546right now, the LFM imsa slots are fully booked (196 players i think).
Lets see what happens after beta tho.
Can you check out any car at Monza Historic no chicane with the ALEX cFFB file and see if it’s ok on the high banking parts?

Probably becoz they havent driven a real race car.

Next Steam sale is Dec 19. The DLC should be 50%.
Yes. Is better
You gotta love Iracing. Constant updates but still the tyre model is rubbish. The graphics outdated. After how many years now!
