I remember always watching this show when I was 10-12 and at the time AA was my favorite band and when I saw they were playing on the show I remember SCREAMING, 10+ years laters I’m 24 now and I still see this exact performance and remembering the night seeing them on here and I still jam just as hard as I did back then. Honestly thank you for having this video I appreciate it for my childhood.
Wow this guy is amazing! Not to often do you see a vocalist do the harmony and the growling or screaming both. Most have someone else doing it. Simply AMAZING!
No such thing as his true voice, it’s called his voice evolving, you aren’t going to sound the same as you did as a teenager when you’re in your twenties, especially if you’re doing drugs and your voice is still changing
Not in 2012. I saw them in january and it was awsome to see them live. Danny was also finally able to hit the high notes in the songs, and the screams/growls was really good.
As if screaming wasn't hard already, people usually don't know how such of a hard thing is to switch from screaming vocals to clean as Danny does in 0:36. Danny is such a good singer overall.
Lmao he did have passion but not during this this was the period in time where danny was constantly intoxicated! He had alcohol and drugs in his system he was even trying to preform this song in this video
mario fatovic Yeah, just listen to some of the more recent shows. The guy is a beast now. I never expected much from this band until I seen them during the supporting tour of From Death to Destiny. Great show.
RainingBlood97 When i first heard them it was from Christian Johanson's vocal cover and cause of that i was like. "meh, i don't really care about this band" but the first time i really heard the band was on a bus and i was like "OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS" I heard the final episode and not the american average
only the last part of the song , the vocal was shit ... ("So now this is over and the world falls upon me. I never expected to be here alone. The shadows are forming as we burst into flames. Why does this end this way" )
its funny people are saying this a good performance because dannys screams have become so pitiful he past year, back in 2010 we all thought this performance was shit haha
Danny was always high on stage. he came on stage one so fucked up he couldn't remember the lyrics. But he's back in the band and he's better than ever!
I like "both dannys" (since people think he's just a whole different person now). I like this one because I like the clean vocals and just how he performs all in it's self. I do miss looking and listening to him scream and sing kinda more... I'd say with energy and enthusiasm. But things have changed and some people just gotta deal with it. I can say for my 18 year old self I haven't seen them live even back in 2009 or 2010 or whatever. But I like all their music and love watching their livevids
King Kazma Nope, funny how that's the response with any frontman fucking up.. They've never been different from this, this is what happens when you start as a studio band with a frontman who's there out of pity. AA is Ben's project, Danny was fucking his life over so gave him this job to help him onto a better path. Stand Up and Scream was out before the band had giged literally anywhere, even the UK, in fact they toured and giged in the US before the UK, very shortly into their touring did the second album come out, Reckless and Relentless. There lays the problem. You look at a band like BMTH who giged in little spots all over the UK hundreds of times before Count Your Blessings was even made and you get a singer who can actually hit the same ranges on the recordings. It's about experience, something AA have only recently gotten enough of.
david crawford actually Danny is on opiates if you take a look at his eyes when he removes his shades. I had a former bandmate who ODed and nearly died and his eyes were like that
@@machimuchy7963 look at his pupils. You should not be able to see em really much less that clearly. They're hella dilated. If that were dilation from alcohol at where they are he would not be able to keep his balance
@@machimuchy7963 the times they did we saw. We know bc either the people who have said it have taken the drug and know all of what it does or have been with people when they took said drug and seen what happens from a 3rd person POV.
I didn't say that they sounded bad...i meant as a performance it was boring...the drummer could be a bit better in my opinion but it was an overally boring performance...a good performance would be exciting and full of energy for a song like this being heavy...just my opinion though :P
It's true, I've talked to them a little about their recordings, and heard their demos (I think I still have "Another Bottle Down" somewhere), Danny's great when he's sober.
Danny has been pretty great since he's been clean. I saw them at Warped last year and they were okay but on Still Reckless this year they were amazing.
I am not familiarized with this band but this guy is a great singer/screamer... good lows, good highs and his clean voice its very well tuned ...and the most important thing, that makes a not boring vocalist!
@XxSteelersxX92 I hope you're right about him sounding amazing live, they're my favourite band and I'm seeing live in January but I'm just worried about Danny not sounding good.
@seanambler where did you see them ?? and fair point they were quite good but since they played the first set they were playing to half a room and they were also playing a smaller set :/
you should upload asking alexandria someone somewhere live at the daily habit becuase some 1 used 2 have that 1 with if u cant ride 2 horses but he deleated them both
And here, we have incredibly rare footage of James Cassells wearing a shirt.
hahaha i like that xD
The Squirrel King Why did I read that in the crocodile hunters voice hahaha
Same goes for Travis Barker.
Sam Bettly ft Asking Alexandria
Hes got the coolest moves

This band really nails timing the headbangs together!
If you can't play two basses you should get out of the circus
Can we take just a moment to see how awesome is Sam Bettley?
Wow this guy is amazing! Not to often do you see a vocalist do the harmony and the growling or screaming both. Most have someone else doing it. Simply AMAZING!
Danny's vocals (screams AND clean) are soooo freakin good!!!
Agree!
Even better today!
James does the best job of them all I never see him making any mistakes, plus the fact that his heel toe is amazing.
R.I.P true Danny´s voice

@@dim5643 Yeah that too 😂
this is where dannys emo phase ended rip
He was always rock and roll at heart
when the other members were still emo-ish, Danny was the one who cut his hair first
Even though he got rid of that look, Reckless & Relentless is still their best album/era
I honestly think that it's incredible what Danny does to his voice. It's perfect, I didn't use to like things like that... But now, I love
That awkward moment when you're one of the few who liked From death to destiny Danny the best.
+Jonathan Carlsson I did too bro lmfaooo
Danny>Denis we all know it :)
Jonathan Carlsson lots of people did it was on the top 100 best metal albums of the 21 century
Jonathan Carlsson From Death To Destiny was a masterpiece. That was an actual metal album.
Jonathan Carlsson stand up and scream and the black will always be the best AA albums
take this Denis
he will need 6 years to get this dick out his ass
calm dude. you won XD
He would gracefully do the screams and cleans with his eyes closed, what you on about it?

1:59 it was at that moment James knew.... He Fucked Up.
wow they are amazing live, i'm seeing them in september and i can't wait. It's incredible how Danny can make the screams and the clean perfectly.
This Moment in 2:47 when you see he takes his glasses off and he's singing from heart. This is what makes the difference to now.

Wait, he owns shirts?
It's just sad that they cant do this again..

Danny is truly one of today's best frontmen.
how can you even say that?
Tom Faron He gives his fans a show and doesn't just stand there the whole damn show like many do today.
Tom Faron He also forgot the near flawless vocals on this song, it wasn't his best performance but this was during his downfall

1:24= epic rock punch pre-strum of awesomeness!
to be honest the reason its so bad is because the sound guy fucked everything up like the vocals are so quiet and the drums are too loud come on dude
the bass was too loud as well

As a fellow bassist myself, I must say, very much agreed!
The singer made a good call wearing those glasses.. Because when he takes them off its obvious that his on some form of opiate.

for real but he straightened up and I heard a snippet of AA first song with danny back and I think I came in my pants... lol

Obviously you hadn’t followed asking Alexandria that well (I see it’s 2 years ago)
I went to a AA-concert i Sweden, 31 january, and they were amazing! Danny sang perfect and he did the cleans perfect
Danny must have been sick or something. He didn't do any highs, all lows which was rare for him. Sounded good though!
excellent performance
WTF James is actually wearing a shirt for once haha
one of the best live i ever seen
return please :(

why use different screaming vocals on the album if you plan to just use the same style for all them live. Ruins the songs.
It's cuz u can tell he's having a hard time with his voice and he keeps running out of breathe
Darren Krausz yeah then he shouldn't make songs that are out of his range
Dalton McCabe His vocal cords were fucked up at the time.
Danny can sing very well. Need only decrease with cigarette and drink
