Almost fell off my chair with these nice words about this Scalextric car. Enjoyed the history lesson behind the car too. Top man Pat for handing this over to Mr Dave SlotR
Nice history and car review, Dave. I've bought one Scalextric in the last year. It was the '65 VW Beetle that ran in the Trans Am series. Not bad and a rare Beetle slot car.
What a great video Dave, and it's nice to see that scalextric have made a car that justifies your praise. I will be having a look around to see if I can pick one up to go with my ever growing Ford collection 👍👍👍
So glad I sent you the car Dave what a great history lesson and car info we would not of known this with it sitting on my shelf thanks mate enjoy the car 🤟🤟👍
Great and very interesting video, I enjoyed the history and the review of the car. Subscribed to your channel and looking forward to following you here on youtube. And thank you so much for sharing my 7-day slot car building project! 🎉 I'm thrilled that you found it interesting, and I really appreciate your support. All the best wishes
Great video. I never would of heard of him otherwise. What a legend. Still going strong. We had a famous VK commodore from 1984 go over there as a thundersloon. Its back here in Queensland now in its original form now.
What an amazing racer ...still racing at 69 and winning too 💪At 2:59 we see theFord Anglia that scalextric should make ,great livery and what looks like minilite alloy rims 🤗285 wins in that one car that's mind boggling and ive never heard of him ,just like you said, because tv ain't interested in many of those classes, shame really....good honest racing without the mega hype .Scalextric did a great job on this car and runs sweet without the magnet 😁good on ya Pat for sharing the love 😊 cheers Dave
Nice review, my mate has given me about 10 different Ford rally cars from the 70's onwards, he is weathering them and I am fitting headlights and tail lights into them using tiny led's. taking out any old filament bulbs that drain the power.
On the strength of your video I've managed to get hold of one of these beauties Dave, just waiting to collect it but will try and compliment this excellent work of yours with one of my meagre offerings 👍
One of the rival Thundersaloon cars to that Sierra was an ex Bathurst car rebadge as an Opel Senator driven by Pete Stevens, google it, was a lovely car
@@slotr Dave have you ever watched any of the early Bathurst 1000 races especially those from the late 70s with Brock, Moffet & Jacky Ickx , Dick Johnson etc real Ozzie Muscle cars (Touring Cars)
@@slotr Yes, from the 'always in an incident but never my fault' Mike Smith up to the death of the Super Tourers. I've still got my Peugeot 406 team fleece and the SCX slot car too. In fact I have most of the BTCC slot cars, including a rare Nissan Primera by Bumslot? (snigger). Just missing the Volvo estate from Pendle.

9:35 @irrerascarrera Joe pay attention this part. Dave mentions a possible solution for your Subaru!
Not sure if tagging someone in the comments works but hopefully Joe sees this.

yes was just chatting on another comment about that, Got rebadged as a Opel and competed by Pete Stevens and Neil Facey
That's interesting. I looked them up. They won a few races in it too. I was only aware of John Cleland having one.
