  • Randall Carlson joins me for his 3rd appearance on the UnchartedX Podcast!
    We get into a discussion on the academic history of geology, the science behind the younger dryas, and the mechanics of the megafloods of the channeled scablands in the pacific northwest, the tumultuous climate and rise in sea levels during that period and the effects it would have had on any people in affected regions.
    Since my last video on Tiwanaku and Puma Punku, I've been looking forward to an opportunity to share some of my findings with Randall, and to quiz him about the possible connections between Arthur Posnansky's research on the geological history of that region and the younger dryas period, which we get into.
    Then Randall takes us through an utterly fascinating discussion of the prevalence of precessional numerology in history, and how it all connects between astronomical cycles, the measures of time and space, and the possibility of a common source that has driven this data down through time, cultures, religions and legends - I did my best to keep up with him and there was definitely some 'mind blown' moments in there for me.

      So I'm local as in Puyallup WA. I would love to attend this event. But its a lot of time for me to take off work at such notice. I do have a truck and small pop up trailer. I'm wondering if it would be possible to for me to camp at one or two of these locations and tag along for part of a tour or two. I would expect to pay for that opportunity.

      The algorithm from 10 years was so good in that it gave you related or unrelated content that you actually liked by letting autoplay run. Now I keep autoplay off, I had to curate and block so many channels to find this video. I don't think I would be able to find it on trending or new videos as a regular user.

      @@notsocrates9529it wouldn't be in trending as anything even remotely questioning the mainstream narrative dogmas, gets its range limited.
      Especially if it touches a "sensitive" point which is massively pushed at the time, like here it relates to climate, so...
      It's not unlikely that even this comment of mine gets shadowbanned. Then you'll see the number of replies in the thread doesn't match the replies you can see.
      We already live in a post-truth era. Censorship apparatus has never in history had these kinds of tools like today. I'm afraid we've entered the digital dark age.

      ..there's some new information that every 200million~ years our solar system passes through an arm of the milky way galaxy, and if you annotate that simulation of the suns orbit around sag a* with dates of mass extinctions it begins to roughly line up with the sun passing through the thicker parts of the galaxy arms -- probably a star's gravitational tidal radius interfering with objects from Oort cloud causing disturbances and then those objects falling into the system when this happens, smattering all the planets with asteroids/comets over thousands of years .. it doesn't seem to happen every 200 million years, but it's interesting the whole bigger picture of large asteroid impacts seems to correlate with our star passing through these denser regions when they do happen. Coincidence? Hmm..

      It could also have been caused by a massive tectonic cataclysm, where multiple volcanoes erupt across the planet and toss a lot of material in the atmosphere. The pyroclastic ejections may be similar to the comet debris found embeded in the KT boundary. This tectonic event could also have caused the subduction of several large islands from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans...

    • @Seriksy
      @Seriksy ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@mancamiatipoola Are you referring to the Shiva Crater or the Younger Dryas event in this case? Because a "tectonic cataclysm" doesn't explain the microspherules found over most of the northern hemisphere. To my knowledge, a pyroclastic flow doesn't have the ability to create that. Only impacts/explosions

    Ben, referring to potential rapid uplift in the Andes causing tilted strandlines... Due to heavy (and rapid) glacial recession, there would have likely been isostatic rebound in the higher elevations where the glaciers resided. This has been pretty well researched!

    Isostatic rebound shouldn't be underestimated. Britain was only partially under an icecap in the Quarternary Pleistocene, but it's still tilting back as a result of even that partial pressure release. The weight of ice must have been billions of tonnes.

      (Small gripe, so don't take this too harshly but it is my humble opinion)
      I noticed you use "BCE" rather than "BC", unlike in most cases where people cry about cultural appropriation which is actually imitation one of the highest forms of flattery, blatantly rebranding the Gregorian Calendar just seems petty.... You don't have to be a Christian to respect their contribution to science that is the Gregorian calendar nor do you need to be one to use the Calendar...
      This is usually where I'd say "and I'm an agnostic" but I can't anymore because I do consider myself Christian now but for most of my life I had been an atheist and even then I never felt the need to rebrand Christian inventions.
      In my view the rebranding removes some of our culture from the history books (Imagine if everyone swapped and it wasn't just an edgy statement virtue signaling that you're an atheist) and that's always a bad thing, similarly bad as the Catholics destroying ancient sites in South America....
      PS: All I'm asking is that you reconsider your use of the phrasing, is it really necessary? What are the genuine pros/cons? If using the Gregorian Calendar as it was originally is too much to ask then I'd just point out that there are alternative calendars you can use (and some do, a bit pretentious when they do but no harm done).
      PPS: I don't care if you're Christian or not I can still be your friend, I just have a particular issue with this BCE/CE trend, seems needlessly antagonistic to me besides feeling like book burning.

    As always Ben, an awesome conversation with Randall. A couple of themes stood out, that I've been thinking through (one I've shared on your Discord I think) over the past c.2 years. 1. If pre-industrial age folks possessed the knowledge tradition and engineering expertise to create the Antikithera device, is it conceivable that same excellence-in-precision was applied to designing and building a device to calculate when the Spring Equinox precesses into a new Zodiacal sign? We may have lost incalculable lore through the vagaries of Time/Kronos and humanity's episodic falls, 2. Are we in any position to calculate, with improved precision, when the Spring Equionox precesses from Pisces to Aquarius? The possibility of "fixed" signs being associated with catastrophic episodes is unnerving, given its almost half a Great Year since the the coincidence between the YDI and the Spring Equinox on the cusp of Leo.

    • @AustinKoleCarlisle
      @AustinKoleCarlisle ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oh, we are definitely due for another catastrophe. humanity has proven itself once again that it is still spiritually immature and relies primarily on violence and force. instead of becoming more free, we are going down the path of more government force and control. a great cataclysm would be a saving grace at this point because the path we're heading down is not going to end well.

    • @mancamiatipoola
      @mancamiatipoola ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have modern software that are somewhat equivalent to the Antikithera cosmic calculator, which was basically a calculator of the movements of the sun, moon and planets around the Earth, which was in the middle of the dial. Sure it was based on the geocentric model, but in a way that makes sense from an observational point of view.
      The software is called Stellarium, you can dl free online. It is based on modern astronomical calculations, it shows all the planets, known stars, the zodiac, the ecliptic disk and so on. It has this nifty clock in which you can set the day and the hour and then jump back in time all the way to the transition between the zodiac ages and see what dates you get.
      I played around in it and went back with the date of 22 june to see the transition between Aries and Pisces and it was approx between 2400-2500 years ago. While the transition between Pisces and Aquarius was somewhere around 5-700 years from now. By transition i mean i simply chose the mid point between the last star of one constellation and first star of the next. In our cycle there is no precise way (that i know of) for calculating the exact boundary of 2160 years that a zodiac age has on the great clock, so calculating the stretch of a constellation from its first to its last star is the only way i can think of making any sense of the zodiac chronology.
      From my research into zodiac references and architectural evidence of past civilizations i would say there is a periodic cataclysm every 2-3000 years which completely resets humanity and a new cycle starts. These may be local or global cataclysms, i have no idea. But the ruins of the taurians were pretty badly broken up so i suppose there was a major tectonic cataclysm at the end of the Taurian age that may have ended that human cycle...
      HF with Stellarium

    57:00 The japan 2011 tsunami earthquake moved the entire japan islands by 2m to the west in matter of "minutes"! The 2016 Kaikoura Earthquake Papatea Fault Rupture
    caused a uplift of 2m to 6m over a 3km stretch where the seabed became land in matter of "seconds", so fast crabs and fish had no chance to escape and there are videos

    Question for Randall, and everyone: Did the megalithic wall (what's left of it), at Sage Mountain Montana, see torrential flood waters, when North America melted out? Or was it, on high enough ground to escape the flood? the stones are extremely worn at this site. The granite is eroded from one to six inches on the edges of most blocks. It is REALLY old.

    9:53 I would call it the shackles of academia. Lol
    But I should add that I do agree with Randall. We do need structure otherwise there will be chaos. But we need to teach the next generations the knowledge we already have yet give them the tools, if they don’t already have them, to let their minds think and wonder and grow. If we are not allowed to look down a road, or down a hole, and explore what might be there, we may forever lose what was there. Leave no stone unturned if possible I say.
