When i came on your channel this video got my attention right away! This is just fantastic, super, great .... I can not find enough words how well I find this. You are a real artist with wood. I just had to hit that button for you out of respect for this great work!

If you've never heard of ,stump cutter bits ,they are much faster at taking of the wood than the diamond bits one eight shank . I strongly recommend them. Or typhoon bits if you like to take off mega tons of wood, one eighth or 1/4 inch shaft.. Great stuff.

lewandlo thank you, I will check them out. I have since purchased some Kutzall burs that work pretty well.

Fantastic! It seems you are using dry wood. Do you recommend this over fresh pieces of wood? thanks for the inspiration :-)

Thank you! It is air dried (actually a piece of firewood). I do recommend dry over fresh, especially when using a rotary tool.

Richard Lambert Thank you! It was Bob Smith Industries super thin Insta-cure. It was to strengthen them. When that was dry I coated them with Watco Danish oil finish to bring out the grain.
