LOVED 'Mad Dog' and his statements on the Uvalde tragedy. That's exactly how ALL Americans should feel about these horrible tragedies. The only part I might disagree on Russo is 'the only way we're going to get gun reform in America is with a Republican President'. Well....about that, and Russo even mentioned it himself, they had a Republican President in office from 2016-2020 and gun reform was on the table following the Parkland, Fla. shootings. And did it move anywhere? No. Because Republicans don't want gun reform. Everyone else in America does though. Anyways.....this carnage in America has to be stopped. If people in America aren't outraged after this latest horrible tragedy, it makes me wonder whether they even have feelings at all. I know people want sports shows to be more of an 'escape' from the reality of the world, but in instances such as this, reality - and tragedy - can't always be ignored or passed over. The community of Uvalde, Texas won't ever be the same after this. 😞

Which is actually pretty interesting considering how sick the Swiss society is if you really get to know it in close-up. It probably is a weird coalescence of being taught from a very early age to suppress real emotions and Swiss efficiency so that the negative effects of suppressing emotions never result in an explosive meltdown which then could manifest itself in something like a school shooting. Fortunately!

@@jacobbryan2509 if you want better for your kids and grandkids then uphold the second amendment with your life. The digital revolution and great reset will be a turning point in democracies in the west. The 2nd amendment is the only thing that can protect you against government overreach.
At the end of the day, guns don’t kill people, it is the brain behind the gun that kills people, and brains change all the time depending on life circumstances. Raising the minimum age of gun ownership could be a solution. Passing mental health exams is useless because people could just lie about their mental state and these exams would have to be continuous because as stated before, mental health is never constant, especially in the modern day.
Another solution could be more security in schools. Hiring retired veterans, ex cops, or current police officers to guard the school property.
Another solution, though highly controversial, is to allow guns to be locked away in class rooms, but only accessible during situations like these. For example, a security guard or principal could push a button during a code red that could give teachers the ability to unlock the safe using a password, so that another student can’t rush the safe and take the gun without the teacher actually opening it first. This would also prevents angry teachers from accessing the gun and using it malevolently or irresponsibly.
Idk man, all I know is, the more gun control becomes normalized and accepted, the less power the people will have over an increasingly powerful, secretive, and unpredictable government. All mass shootings are tragedies, but we shouldn’t take away everyone’s rights for the treacherous behaviour of the few. The whole reason for the second amendment is so everyone can participate in a rebellion should it be necessary.

My friend and his family have lived in uvalde for years. They recently emailed me about charitable help in the area to the families affected. It's a s*** sandwich no matter how you look at it.
This is a failure of government at every level. If they had allowed even one or two teachers to pack heat, it would have even the odds. If the teacher who had died on top of the two children getting shot through the desk, had a gun herself and fired back at that coward, he may have been too wounded to continue killing. I'm arguing it may have saved about 15 or 20 out of the 21 lives.
I've heard the argument that trained staff having guns in a room can escalate a situation. But it's really hard to say that in this case. 21 dead and no police response, that's a failure of government.
But I know who didn't fail. Those two dead teachers did not fail. And if they'd been allowed to have a Fighting Chance, that lunatic would have died far sooner
