Ok Imma sum up what I know of this character, Gintan(Romanization System, pronounced as “yin tan”) is a fursuit dancer that gain popularity on platforms such as Bilibili(aka Chinese version of TH-cam+Netflix) and Douyin( aka Chinese TikTok). They recently licensed their character to a game as this video implies and also went on some comedy show which gave them immense popularity. The Chinese furry fandom aren’t optimistic about the current situation not because it’s evil or bad for Gintan to earn money, but it might bring the whole furry fandom to the public’s attention due to Gintan being more than just a fursuiter, but an influencer that might harm the fandom’s future. They fear the game’s targeted audience might pose a threat and speak ill of or belittle the furry community, and Gintan’s actions would monetize the fandom, making it a place for bad people to milk money out of ending up with no space for pure fun. Okay this is what I have so far, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Also about furries being able to dance one stage, my point of view is that furries don’t sound as terrifying as they sound in eastern countries compared to western ones. Alright, so let me provide you with some info on all that. Gintan is really cool, but it's kind of just the surface. I think there's quite a bit more to it than that. Gintan introduced me (and many more!) to the eastern side of the furry fandom (especially China), and pushed me to dig more into it! It's not all black or white, anti-furries exist over there, but I've seen popufurs over there actually engaging the conversation between the two poles, a rare sight in the west. If we look more towards the inside of the fandom, there have been quite a few controversies within the community, which haven't really impacted the fandom, at least not yet (it is very difficult to keep up with these when you don't speak the language!). I will go back to Gintan now, as there is more to say about him. Not only did he collab with famous k-pop stars, but he also appeared in a Chinese tv-show! I can't find the video sadly, but I know it was uploaded to youtube (if anyone has the link, or speak chinese, let me know). He used to be a dance teacher, who made dancing videos. When he got his fursuit, he started dancing in it and uploading it to social media. He blew up rather quickly (I think), which allowed him to rely more and more on fursuit dancing to make a living. Bilibli is full of great fursuit dancing videos, some with surprisinlgy good production. If you like kemono fursuits, It's really worth digging into in my opinion. I also wonder about their suit maintenance. Suits don't normally last very long and ones that are heavily used have to be replaced or repaired more often. So then I wonder how many suits do they have!? How often is it repaired? I feel like a chunk of their money must go to this. D:
Since you already found the Bilibili page of Yintan, you should know that Yintan is Gintan, because the Chinese characters of 银碳 , when pronounced in the original Chinese pronunciation, is Yintan, but when pronounced in its Japanese onyomi adaptation, it would be Gintan. It is to my understanding that since 银碳Gintan (btw this is how he always displays his stage name, these two names are always displayed side by side to avoid confusion) is a Chinese dancer and already has a huge fan base in China, he uses the Chinese characters 银碳 (which btw means 'silver coal', in case you wonder why you always see the word 'coal' in the translation) to identify himself, and the Chinese fans do call him by the original pronunciation of Yintan. And in order to reach wider audience, especially the fandom in Japan, he uses Gintan as his Romanized stage name, so that it reaches both the Japanese fans as well as the fans in the West. So if you truly appreciate his skills and wanna promote him, please make sure to always display his stage name in full, which is "银碳Gintan". Last but not least, I found out about him only a week ago, now I'm already a fan.

As a Korean that can read mandarin and often interacts with these sites it's actually hilariously trying to see others attempting to navigate through it lmao. Honestly though how does Gintan actually survive in that suit whilst dancing, it's digigrade and everythinG HOW- Honestly, from what I can tell, the more Asian furry community is so much more chill and gets fewer haters than more western community. Ofc there are still people who will shout death threats but compared to what I hear on the western side of the internet?? WAYYYYYY less. It's refreshing, honestly... except for the language barrier that some people might have.
Those huge collective dance groups are actually just Kpop events. They hold those in America too. It's just a bunch of Kpop fans doing the choreo together. They have them all over the world.
You should ask Dragoniel Iskaliri Silverwing, he was everywhere on TH-cam, Twitter aka X, Bilibili and Douyin (not the same TikTok). I once commented on his video and he once said that "Gintan is a dance teacher". Maybe that's why he's good at dancing (I might obsession to Gintan dance, I almost watch all him videos dance even in public videos)
Hey y’all, I’m from the same country as Gintan and I’m here to explain some things. This person does not have a TikTok account, however, they do have Douyin account, which is a Chinese version of TikTok. This person has been on national TV and gets millions of views in China. There has been debates, however, on his appearance in the game PUBG in China. I will not comment on this topic, because it is quite controversial. For those who are wondering, Bilibili is just a Chinese version of TH-cam. If there is any other questions, just reply, and I will try to answer as best as I can.
Good for Gintan. Making the big money doing what they love. I'm glad to see more furries in positive media, not just stereotypical media. Now we wait for the Ruben Simps or the antis to make up reasons and excuses why this shouldn't be allowed because they have no life.
I remember seeing a chinese video about the fursuiter being added, it turns out he didn't allow the development of his fursona into the game. He didn't agree to having his fursona added.
Btw, I found out that Gintan is what’s in the non-English language(guessing it was Chinese?) that’s where the mineral stuff was coming from: it was the definition behind the name!!! Gintan means coal or in my case I got silver and copper somehow!
8:02 A bit odd, in Fortnite there are collaborations that sometimes involves Icon skins and there are many furry skin even one in their crew pack of a snowy version of their base Fennec avatar, but so far no furry icon skins yet.

If i remember correctly the first ever video i had seen that he was dancing while record a video, dont remember who is behind the camera tho, i guess its just his friend and bunch of people in the furry fandom follow the trending of the song "See Tình", and that video had posted on his twitter, and someone took the video upload on tik tok, when everyone notice it, they're slowly approach to him, thats when he became popular and he's approach to the other popular dancer to collab with, and of crouse, the video of him with them went viral on their tik tok account, push him ever more further to become an Idol, i remember in one of the post, Gintan had said that He love dancing, like really passionate about it, thats why we always see him just post video dancing the most ,not usually talking or do anything else, and even collab with k-pop as you can see, and may more popular dancer out there, even the game PUBG chinese ver He's really đedicated Like he literally went all out inside of his fursuit XD❤❤ ,and when that fake tik tok account of him use it, the whole furry fandom in asia even when more crazy with Gintan, he's literally cute af with that kemono style ❤❤❤, but beside that he's still sometime hanging around with his friend in the fandom ❤❤❤,im glad that any furry in western might have a chance to.look at him or even make an review of Gintan, i dont see much of the people doing it tho, butt ur the 1st to me ❤, keep up with ur content love itt
I'm not an expert on Japan but I'm pretty sure Japan is obsessed with cute things considering every anime character has a chibi version of them. People in costume in public seems more common there.
Gintan’s fursuiter was already a popular dancer online as his human self under a separate pseudonym 千叶 (QianYe) and had over 100k subscribers on Bilibi prior to him designing his fursona and commissioning a suit. He created a lot of original choreographies and many went viral in china, so he sorta had a jump start compared to the others being just a fursuiter. It’s also likely because furries in east asia do not have nearly as many negative stereotypes as their western counterparts. Without the stereotypes, everyday people are more inclined to react “aww so cute where can I see more” instead of “ew furry gross *ys go away” when they see a fursuiter
It looks like he's a Choreographer, which would explain the k pop groups, perhaps he's well known our of suit and as long as people sign or swear not to say who he is they will do colabs with him?
银碳Gintan's identity out of the suit isn't really a secret - he's known as 千叶有个仙女棒 on Douyin and Bilibili (I can't post links here) outside the suit. He's was fairly popular before he became a furry, but of course, not even close to his current fame.

And make sure to drink gallons of water after dancing as it is super hot as I know from dancing in fur-suit. xD
I also wonder about their suit maintenance. Suits don't normally last very long and ones that are heavily used have to be replaced or repaired more often. So then I wonder how many suits do they have!? How often is it repaired? I feel like a chunk of their money must go to this. D:
Ok im not into furrys but this boi got the best dancing and talent for a fursuit like, I want that
Since you already found the Bilibili page of Yintan, you should know that Yintan is Gintan, because the Chinese characters of 银碳 , when pronounced in the original Chinese pronunciation, is Yintan, but when pronounced in its Japanese onyomi adaptation, it would be Gintan.
Also, chinese politics is not particularly welcome in the west right now, so adopting a less chinese sounding name for outside China is wise.

@@noseboop4354 Also, double standard, prejudice and arrogance from the west is considered an incurable disability in China, so keeping your mouth shut on such matter to avoid revealing your incapability is a wiser way to spare you from my sympathy. Chinese people don't need approval from the self-righteous west, that's stupidity at its best.
As a Korean that can read mandarin and often interacts with these sites it's actually hilariously trying to see others attempting to navigate through it lmao. Honestly though how does Gintan actually survive in that suit whilst dancing, it's digigrade and everythinG HOW-
Honestly, from what I can tell, the more Asian furry community is so much more chill and gets fewer haters than more western community. Ofc there are still people who will shout death threats but compared to what I hear on the western side of the internet?? WAYYYYYY less.
It's more seen as like people dressing up in cute animal costumes and stuff rather than "eW fuRRy", so people have less of a prejudice towards us. It's refreshing, honestly... except for the language barrier that some people might have.
Меня Гинтан покорил с первой секунды, как я его увидела. Абсолютно очаровательный зверь!
its crazy to see how furs hav evolved over the past 15 years
Yeah furries now are now gonna live in harmony with humans and normies now just like how in most Anime stories and fairy tales are
Those huge collective dance groups are actually just Kpop events. They hold those in America too. It's just a bunch of Kpop fans doing the choreo together. They have them all over the world.
Man I wish i was even a 10th as good as him, good for him for being put in a video game, that's awesome
I bought the water bottle a couple days ago! I can't wait for it to arrive!
Good for Gintan. Making the big money doing what they love. I'm glad to see more furries in positive media, not just stereotypical media.
Now we wait for the Ruben Simps or the antis to make up reasons and excuses why this shouldn't be allowed because they have no life.
This guy is so cool. Very talented. Cute suit roo. The g is pronounced like a j in stead. Great video. Love it. Keep up the great job.
I remember seeing a chinese video about the fursuiter being added, it turns out he didn't allow the development of his fursona into the game.
He didn't agree to having his fursona added.
The immediate first thing I think when I start watching this vid is "I want that Snorlax pillow."
I really hope this would never happen again I was planning on getting one from multicolored bark
I had no clue who they were, but now that I found this video I’m glad to learn more about him… he’s so flexible, I’m so envious!!!
Btw, I found out that Gintan is what’s in the non-English language(guessing it was Chinese?) that’s where the mineral stuff was coming from: it was the definition behind the name!!!
Gintan means coal or in my case I got silver and copper somehow!
Bro is literally gonna take over the video game industry😮
Fun fact Gintan can dance to 110 songs flawlessly.
“I’m gonna off you with my gvn” pulls up with gintan rifle :3
Am I mistaken or is your voice the most enjoyable to listen to of all YT? 💀
Dude, i'm so happy and ecstatic about this guy
The one game award winner was a furry too!!!!
I cant find him. I wonder where he is today 🤔
not gonna like gintan is so cute and adorable
His stuff in PUBG is sto cute the helmets and guns with his tiger paws on it.
I believe Gintan is a dance instructor at least from a reddit post. Makes sense to me.
Gintan looks amazing as it is i myself am looking to getting to dancing in the future, but a fursuit i heard its pretty hard and takes a lot of talent
I've been following them on twitter for a while now and I saw a tweet about their pubg skin about 1 or 2 days ago I think
8:02 A bit odd, in Fortnite there are collaborations that sometimes involves Icon skins and there are many furry skin even one in their crew pack of a snowy version of their base Fennec avatar, but so far no furry icon skins yet.
lmaoo its so funny i just ordered that water bottle yesterday!!!!
Haha that's awesome! Thank you so much ^^
BiliBili is an alternative to TH-cam in Asia.
Yeah like China
Not really. They are both popular and that's it. Bilibili's target audience is much younger. Its Bullet Screen copies from Japanese site Niconico.
But it's mostly for Chinese, people who can speak Mandarin or Cantonese (including people from Malaysia that is Chinese Malaysians) can enjoy watching some videos while Chinese subtitles always appear in most videos
can i see the text on the foxade bottle while drinking milk if not then its a no deal
they should put Charmant on a video game i literally LOVE his suit. i love chinese fursuits so much
we need actual fursuit characters in games like fortnite and call of duty for sure!
So all I have to do is continueing dancing and make a second video of me dancing, sweet
But some people MAD about Furry Avatar in the Game.Well it related about Fursuit and other stuff. Even some Chinese Furry Popufur also talking about the problem related to Game Avatar.
Good to know have you watched a video from GFTV Global furry news?
@@V_Blocky Yes. I been following them quite a long time. I also have Billibili which is Chinese version and sometime I know from other Furry Popufur streaming.
@@trainerikmal2532 You watch GFTV on Bilibili? The Global Furry News is based from Singapore
They are doing wonders for the public reception of the furry fandom
I am honoured to have watched gintan before he skyrocketed in popularity
@Nightzy hi nightzy i watched u in 2022 haven’t seen ur content since then bc my parents were pretty negative abt me being a furry so yeah but doesnt matter. I watched you when i was 13 now im 14 ofc. Just wanted to say ty bc u were so funny and like after an aurgument to my parents i switched off my phone and watched your videos and you made me laugh so just saying, Thank you so so much.
I wish there was just random furry dance groups at the MOA, I would be going daily if there ever was one
in our fandom, gintan is the Nr1 most hated furry of all time, they sold their fursona to the capital and that is how they are everywhere , we absolutly hate them
My theory is that in Asia countries some non-furry don’t know much about the history of furry. They probably think Gintan is supposed to be like a football mascot but hey that’s just a theory. A furry theory!
no they just really like cute things, and his design is very rememberable
im pretty sure coal mining refers to the color and pattern of the fursuit, but hey what do i know 🤷♀
Just mentioning, Douyin means tik toc, bilibili is sth like Chinese version TH-cam, it’s very popular in China
Your fursuit looks adorable
If i remember correctly
the first ever video i had seen that he was dancing while record a video, dont remember who is behind the camera tho, i guess its just his friend and bunch of people in the furry fandom follow the trending of the song "See Tình", and that video had posted on his twitter, and someone took the video upload on tik tok, when everyone notice it, they're slowly approach to him, thats when he became popular and he's approach to the other popular dancer to collab with, and of crouse, the video of him with them went viral on their tik tok account, push him ever more further to become an Idol, i remember in one of the post, Gintan had said that He love dancing, like really passionate about it, thats why we always see him just post video dancing the most ,not usually talking or do anything else, and even collab with k-pop as you can see, and may more popular dancer out there, even the game PUBG chinese ver
He's really đedicated Like he literally went all out inside of his fursuit XD❤❤ ,and when that fake tik tok account of him use it, the whole furry fandom in asia even when more crazy with Gintan, he's literally cute af with that kemono style ❤❤❤, but beside that he's still sometime hanging around with his friend in the fandom ❤❤❤,im glad that any furry in western might have a chance to.look at him or even make an review of Gintan, i dont see much of the people doing it tho, butt ur the 1st to me ❤, keep up with ur content love itt
I'm not an expert on Japan but I'm pretty sure Japan is obsessed with cute things considering every anime character has a chibi version of them. People in costume in public seems more common there.
Off topic question, does your fursona have a ref sheet?
In case no-one knows, bilibili is china's version of youtube (as google products are banned in china, big 'firewall of china' stuff.)
I love the captions!
I've seen him because there's a guy on reddit who posts him all the time
*pops up from behind a bush*
Someone mentioned 银碳Gintan
Man crazy how we cant get crazy collabs like this :c
your vidios are so coll! and im a new fan on your channel!😸
@Dragoniel_Iskaliri_Silverwing ah I see,
@@Dragoniel_Iskaliri_Silverwingthank you. finally someone who also have seen his background and isn’t just theorizing and spitting misinformation left and right 🤝🤝
@@dandelionofluff yeah... in some fairly significant ways that tiger has changed my life since 2022. I since made all possible effort to know everything there is to know about him, daily. He's literally my idol, no two ways about it.
Gintan is a coal tiger...I could see it....and douyin is tiktok really, just a chinese ver of tiktok...
did not know that they were this big to have their own stuff like this
I know this video is really old, but I really wanna know,
who made your VTuber model?
'cause I'm looking for one.
Edit: Nevermind, found them.
Who made your Vtuber Avatar? I LOVE it!!
how long will the fox-ade bottle be available???
Ok, last year I suggested maybe ice skating In fursuit! Maybe since rinks are opening again could we try it?
I have a fursuit head like that. Its a cosplay though.
Gintan is from China, and has been absued by many Chinese users, I don't know what happned yet.
Gintan is Well known because of his Talent in dancing but if im not mistaken hes a clothing designer
Asians really love furries, so much so there are actually quite a few furries that gained celebrity like status from fursuiting. Gintan is just the one that has gone the most viral worldwide
I LOVE YOUR GAME SPRITE SMM ✨✨
Holy hell, he is killing it in that suit!
Woah! I didn’t know Gintan was THIS popular! I really gotta give credit to my fellow Chinese fursuiters!
I have an idea for a computer translator. You open this app and It is transparent and you move it over text and it translates the text exactly where it is on screen, into your set language. It would keep the format and everything except the language.
The major difference is that te Japanese love "mascots." They also love cute things and there's no denying Gintan's suit is cute.
Interesting video! But please, where can I get that plushie? ; . ;
