    Really enjoying your videos. I am a retired Shift Manager/licensed Senior Reactor Operator in a nuclear power plant. Your explanations of various systems, and the complexity (or simplicity) of various system designs is great.The average passenger does not care for what goes into their flight, but only are concerned about what they will get to eat or what the movies are on the planes. I, on the other hand, devour each of your videos. Keep up the good work!

      Thank you so much Mark and I 100% agree with how you see aircraft, I do the same thing. We can all agree that aircraft are beautiful but in my mind, it extends beyond the aesthetics, in my mind it transcends into the engineering aspect and how it work. Why it work and how I fix it. When I say “marvel of Engineering” I mean exactly that. Absolutely incredible

    As an avgeak and mechanic myself ( A 320 & A 330 families ) in Germany i really like that filming. I really know the Boeing fleet and i flew with every type except the 707 but i never ever worked on one. I only flew with them as a passenger. Last was a 77W. Great filming. 👍

    I work part time as a ramper. Worked a mid today and what do I do when I'm at home winding down? I watch this!!! Subscribed. I too love my work and I'm here because I want to learn more. I'm also at a much smaller station so getting to see how it goes at LAX (one of my favorites for efficiency) really makes me happy. Thank you for doing what you're doing.       Actually! I do have a question. I notice a lot of the planes use the Air X tires by Michelin. Does the tire manufacturer just have some sort of agreement with Boeing/Airbus for their planes?

      @@AlexM2299 Michelin is not the only tire manufacturer that has aircraft tires, Goodyear and Bridgestone also make aircraft tires. It just depends on which aircraft it’s used on. Majority of airbus tires use Michelin, the 737 likes to use Goodyear, 787 likes to use Bridgestone.

    Love this channel! Just found it. My dad worked for American Freight as a P.R. writer in the 70's. Got to fly all the time as a kid. They still fascinate me.       @StigAviation thank you, I truly am enjoying your videos. Watching one a day until I watch them all. Can I ask a question about something that I've always wanted to know? When the nose wheel gets locked out from the tiller inside for pushback how does it realign the nose gear and tiller when the lockout pin is removed? I know that when push back is done the noise wheel can't be exactly back where it was. This is just something that I've always wondered.

    I got an A&P license from a little school down the road from LAX in Inglewood about 10 years ago but never worked a day as an A&P.thanks for documenting this stig

It's great seeing videos of the engineering of major parts like enginese on TH-cam, but when a person like you comes along to simplify and showcase even the most obscure things nobody would think of like the chiller for the galley carts you showed and how the work it satisfies my inner curiosity so much.

    I have thousands of hours flying Boeing(737-400/500) and Airbus(A320/321 and A330) and when i came off the 737 i never thought id like Airbus but now id never go back.
    They're a much more modern aircraft with a way bigger cockpit,the comfort of no control column and the luxury of a tray table to work and eat on!

      It’s a very lovely aircraft for maintenance as well. Very user friendly and less cluttered when it comes to troubleshooting issues.

      @StigAviation So reliable as well.I can remember many delays and cancellations when I flew the 737 but the Airbus is ultra reliable.And once you get the hang of flying it,it's a great airplane to land in heavy wind.

    Thanx again for sharing. Working for Ford almost 17 years & hating it I finally found a new career @Sony in electronics. Then walking in the building one day with my mgr. standing there waiting for me. Being told after almost 25 years out of the blue you have 60 days to find a new position I was devastated. It’s 14 years now & I still miss my customers & coworkers. Reterment sucks. So keep your memories & most of all keep your sense of humor!

    I know that we are getting an abbreviated view of what you do, and I am loving it.
    Question... I know that each plane is different, but how long do you actually work on each plane.

      Depending on how much ground time the aircraft has, most aircraft that come in on a turnaround have at least 45 minutes to an hour, that’s my timetable to do my inspection and walk around

    “When in doubt, hit it with a hammer.” So true. Fixed quite a few things with a hammer. My favorite being when landing lights get stuck on with the switch off. Give it a love tap and she’ll shut right off. Great videos

    Stig, are the engines specific to a right side engine or left side engine or can an engine be mounted on any side? You would think it would be specific but it would make sense if they were universal. Just curious, thanks.

    Love your videos man, they keep me entertained the entire time, which says a lot. I'm studying mechanical engineering so it's really cool to see how these aircraft that are designed in offices actually operate in the real world, and also how they are to work on.     I was going to go into aviation going through high school and university, even getting a few flight hours in. But with gradually building health issues I had to realign my goals from flight to ground based or other engineering work and eventually dropping out of the workforce entirely.
    It all seems so very far out of reach nowdays, but seeing content like this even while stuck in bed does so much to keep my brain engaged and thinking and genuinely happy.
    It helps so much that I can keep learning and stay engaged, seeing someone who enjoys and appreciates their job as much as I hope that I would.

      @@StigAviation honestly, I wish I chose this as a career over being a professional drummer. I was in a band called the switches, I’ve had to take many multiple flights around America whilst I was on tour! The scariest one was a really small plane that we got in on the way to Portland, where we met The Dandy Warhols! It was like being in a small tube of metal!!! lol 😂

    I am a sailor and I travel around the world by plane to catch my ships..i flew on 737 max all the way to 747-400,from airbus a320 to A380!! I love airplanes and this is the best youtube channel!

    I work at the ramp at a small airport in Uruguay. I really enjoy my work (most of the times) and so do my partners, and fun and passion makes everything better! Aviation is the only place I've seen sooo much people working in the same building really sharing the passion for what they do, and your videos show exactly how I feel about my job, it's marvellous and beautiful.
