Wow, thanks man, that was kind of the plan with Clockwork Wolf & Co. But I keep writing these progressive rock things and it kind of gets in the way LOL
Playing an E Blues has alluded me because I struggled to be able to join it together..This was an eye opener! And now I can practice and play an E Blues 🤓🤘🏻
Rob, you're easily my favorite TH-cam guitar teacher. I've played for a long time and I know I still have a lot to learn. Your play style is exactly what I aspire to be able to play someday. Rock on dude!
Greetings Rob. The truth is that we really like these types of videos since you give another approach to the phrases and at the same time you make them easy and musical. Thank you
Rob i have to admit I seriously want that blue guitar that is right combination I hope comes in Chapman catalogue as well I want to play it! Thanks again for showing interest new guitars
Great stuff, Rob. I’ve been playing for over 30 and sometimes I think I know what I’m doing yet you have some great info here. As a self-taught player some of the basics you mention are so helpful. The perspective you discuss the 5 shapes is very relatable. I always love to learn new licks and you’ve shared some excellent ones here. Thank you. 🤘🏼
Wow, this was an awesome. Simultaneously just within reach of my skill but also showing how much more there is and how far I have to go. I will rewatch and try these exercises many times.
Always loved your lessons! Vividly remember your lesson on playing the pentatonic in any key and it was super simple to understand and helped me massively. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to having a go at a few of these.
Thanks Rob, great techniques with blending the 5 positions of the minor pentatonic together, will definitely be using this. Would be great to see if you have any tips on mixing this in with the major modes perhaps as it can be hard to make them gel together. Awesome vid all the same 👍
I miss these kind of videos of yours! Some of your oldest pentatonic videos you did are still part of my bread and butter all these years later so thank you monkeylord!! Love that relic ML 1 you got there too sweet geetar!! Rock on!
I'll be honest and say I've never really been much of a fan of the old chappers and captain stuff, but I seem to have converted. Loving these little lesson vids and look forward to the next. Would be great to see some theory based ones. Cheers 👍🏼
Wow Rob! Thank you I am going to watch this like 50 times and learn this. I subbed! Liked! And commented! This great man I have been playing a very long time. I need something new and easy. I am tired of listening to myself. :)
Thank you for this video! It makes a lot of fun to try out some different things. Sometimes I have problems to connect different parts, often if I'm thinking about it or if I want to write down the music. So my fingers don't like if I'm looking after them what they doing on the fretboard... 😂 So I have to relax and I have to hear what I do. It's a bit crazy. Normally I don't think about solos, I just play guitar. 🙃
Where and when can I buy this guitar Rob? Perfect pickup combo for super strat. For me the middle pickup always gets in the way. Would love one in seafoam green 😍
Greetings le chappers nice lesson could you perhaps do a lesson on heavy metal fills /licks that you like yourself or even iconic memorable licks of guitar players that most guitar crazy people like myself would like and if so can you make it easy. 🙊
Superb video, lots to work on, mixing pentatonic ideas with arpeggios and dorian. We'll done Rob for giving your time and knowledge free for us wanabe guitarists. My guitar teacher borrowed my ml2 classic gold top in front of 30 people and said it was awesome., if you don't own a Chapman guitar go and buy one.
Love you mate but what i'd love more would be food prep lessons from you and your lads and ladies. Every time you post a vid from the studio sessions I get the munchies from the glorious mediterranean feasts on display.😁
Rob when you explain the box one to box one descending lick you accidentally say fret 14 instead of fret 8 when you drop down into box 5 in the second part of the lick.
Hey Rob, I don’t get how your playing style is so varied, I might add one new pattern a week if I engage my brain. I like this scale, I can see myself running some kool phrases, I think I’m going to select a different scale, you have changed my mind. It’s sound familiarly unfamiliar, like a rogue scale haha Thanks Rob, assuming you read my messages. I have sent you an email showcasing some of my work, hope to hear from you!
Hi Rob! I really would like to order lawmaker bariton OMG guitar, I do understand it just became available to order, but there are no records of this guitar on the internet. Hope to see you playing it on TH-cam :D
Rob’s blues guitar playing is criminally underrated. I’d be so happy to see you in a blues band
Wow, thanks man, that was kind of the plan with Clockwork Wolf & Co. But I keep writing these progressive rock things and it kind of gets in the way LOL
Rob is too good for a mere cop out blues band!
More of this Rob! Thoroughly enjoy your playing, character, and teaching. Thank you sir. Cheers 🍺
Good stuff! The content may by trivially simple for many (judging by the complexity of most TH-cam tutorials) but its helpful to me.
More please!
Playing an E Blues has alluded me because I struggled to be able to join it together..This was an eye opener! And now I can practice and play an E Blues 🤓🤘🏻
Yeah, learning the 5 positions is a game changer 😊
Rob, you're easily my favorite TH-cam guitar teacher. I've played for a long time and I know I still have a lot to learn. Your play style is exactly what I aspire to be able to play someday. Rock on dude!
I really appreciate this message Dude thank you very much, so glad you enjoyed the lesson :-)
This is one of the all time best lessons on being musical with the guitar I have ever seen. Well done and feel free to share more on musicality.

Great bit of tuition for me to learn, cheers rob keep em coming.

It’s good to see you doing these ‘ lesson ‘ videos. I remember the ones that you did some years ago - they were some of the best out there.

Mission accomplished
This is great, you do a really nice job explaining the how and why. I hope you do more of this, its so helpful for those of us learning the guitar.
Another fantastic lesson from the School of El Chappers
Appreciate you sharing this, thanks!
I'll be honest and say I've never really been much of a fan of the old chappers and captain stuff, but I seem to have converted. Loving these little lesson vids and look forward to the next. Would be great to see some theory based ones. Cheers 👍🏼
What in the backhanded compliment is that ffs
@Jase.Manley wasn't supposed to be like that, was just trying to say I like the new content.
Excellent, really good lesson and advice on technique. I’ve been playing for years and still learned a lot from it.
Nicely done! Great useful pieces, easy to learn. 👍

Cracking looking guitar Rob, that should be a production model!
Wow...not only was the guitar a throwback, but the whole style of vid was similar to those pre-chapman guitar days...Nice! Plus ça change...
Thanks, added to my repertoire. The brain injured patrons down at the local will lap this up.
Excellent. Thanks from down under in New Zealand!
Some great stuff there rob.

The idea = used in "School's out "" Alice Cooper.. Recognised in straight away haha
Some good stuff to work on there!

I Love the way you play lead guitar and the tones you use! Very tasty music brother! Hello from Lawrenceville Georgia in the 🇺🇸 USA! 🎸🎶👋😎
Great playing. I like your guitar sound. How did you get that sound ?
Nice!!! Will give those a go
More of these videos!
Really enjoy this style of video. Ever think of doing a masterclass similar to what Tim Pierce and Tomo Fujita offer?
I sometimes teach clinics, I have done clinic tours in the past not sure really what kind of masterclass you mean
That tip on bending strings with the forearm blew my mind!
Real Human Being, just subscribed, Don't know if I LIKE you yet. But I'll work on it, after I figure out where your fingers went.
Thank you 🤘🎸🔥
I've said it before and I'll say it again... How the heck does Rob not have a million subscribers yet?! Come on, people! Let's get Rob to a million!
Not being funny but I'm loving these licks, cheers, Rob
Rob Chapman 🙌🏼
I almost reached to catch the flying pick at the end. That's how vested I was in this video😅. Thx dude
Rob slicks on the beast ring.
Dude best tone what ampay I ask or overdrive? Thanks
Nice! Thanks.
You're the best teacher Rob😅
Rob when you explain the box one to box one descending lick you accidentally say fret 14 instead of fret 8 when you drop down into box 5 in the second part of the lick.
Sorry about that
You should add a line of ML1's that are like that, I'd buy one.
Great. Cheers!

Hi Rob! I really would like to order lawmaker bariton OMG guitar, I do understand it just became available to order, but there are no records of this guitar on the internet. Hope to see you playing it on TH-cam :D
Always been more of a flat picker over a hybrid style. But great tips!
totally of topic xD just out of curiosity the plants are real or fake?
Super
