Incredible actor. He completely embodied the role of a hospice nurse in Magnolia. His showing of level of care for his dying patient brought tears to my eyes.
Probably the best actor I’ve ever seen, can’t think of anyone else who could do drama and comedy, leading roles and supporting roles, big larger than life characters and more understated ones and be so good at all of it
@@melissaarriaga4 Are you seriously saying that Jack Black is anywhere near as good at anything other than comedic roles (and even that is debatable, Hoffman in Along Came Polly is way funnier than Jack Black in anything I've seen him in) as Hoffman?
I have yet to see a bad movie he was in. He was just crazy talented. When Sam Rockwell won the Oscar for Three Billboards he dedicated it to PSH. I thought that was the highlight of the show. @@wladyslawaaron1443 It was pretty surreal. I definitely will be watching BJM, Adaptation, ESotSM, Her, and Synecdoche again. I enjoyed them all thoroughly. I was a huge fan of Hoffman's performance! He's a master at demonstrating the power of vocal quality with every character. A tlit of his voice and he becomes someone complete different. I'm obsessed!

I haven't seen many of his films, but I'm surprised they didn't have any lines from Mission Impossible 3, Red Dragon, or even Catching Fire. Rest In Peace. Still miss you mate.

Every character he plays is masterful. He is my favorite actor, amazing in any movie he's in. Then he had to ruin it and stick a needle in his arm and die.
