  • “I was crying and begging him to stop, but he wouldn’t listen."
Sabreen and Dilvian, her four-year-old sister, were released after months in captivity.
Here they share their story, as part of a series in which Yaziidi women recount the violence and abuse they suffered at the hands of militants.
Tortured. Electrocuted. Sold into slavery. Every day, hundreds of kidnapped women and girls in Iraq and Syria suffer violence and abuse at the hands of militants. Those lucky enough to escape or be released often have no home or family to return to.

Why do you specify only women..? You know it's not like the Syrian and Yizidi men are being treated like lords sister..

Youtub3rh4x0r Because that is the statement I made. Just because my comment wasn't centered around the men doesn't mean I'm not aware of their situation. I aimed my comment at the protagonists of this video, and with that I gave them the recognition they deserve.
Also if you may have noticed, the video is called "Yazidi Women Under Attack" therefore obviously I concluded my statement from the title.
I know exactly what I wrote and why I wrote it. My statement stays the same. It breaks my heart to see women suffer like this.

How sad that these people have endured such tragedy and being taken away from their loved ones. That beautiful little girl is so precious, very smart, and brave to have been through such tragic events that will forever be in her memory. What a precious little angel! God bless these victims & protect them from harm.

This is one hell of a “feel good” video, after all the heart breaking ones we’ve seen, because, in a country where life is not valued, suddenly Sabeen, her young sister and their mom are all United once more, after being separated in a country where separation is forever, it brings tears to ones “heart”.

I am Yazidi from Iraq. Thank you, my sister, for this sad report, and I thank the American state for helping Yazidis in 2014 until that moment. We thank you and Angelina Jolie. We Yazidis want international protection from America. Thank you, regards🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
