A popular question I have been getting is "will this work on real hardware"? Why, yes, it will! I did a proof of concept with a Xircom Pocket Ethernet III and put the disk image here: github.com/cml37/dos-utils/blob/master/network/novell/clients/resources/yyziclas-xircom-pocket-ethernet-iii.img You will need to tweak nwclient et.cfg to choose an IP address on your network and your router IP address as well! You can also swap out pe3odi in autoexec.bat and in nwclient et.cfg if you have a different network card you want to try! Just be sure to copy your ODI network card driver to the nwclient directory as well!
Hats off to yyzkevin. While exploring his instance of ICLAS, I came across something I haven't seen since about 1995-97. A working copy of TURING. TURING was an IDE and programming language developed entirely for the purpose of teaching programming concepts. Somewhere between BASIC and Pascal, it was a wonderful environment and language to use in high school. Did I mention I don't think I've ever found a reference to it in the US at it was developed (I believe, it's been some years) at the University of Guelph in Canada. A nice little easter egg tucked away.

It's using a special driver that Kevin put together, and it is using IP addresses! Currently hardcoded to use the NAT address, but it can be changed. Before too long, I am going to make this work on real hardware!!
Any idea on how to get the hosted version of windows 3.1 to boot? I get a message telling me that windows is unable to set the video mode after the 3.1 splash screen.
@RetroTech Chris ok I hope you can make a video on how to setup the tunneling from client side to server side if there is any server side setup or software that needs to be installed in novell server 3.12 for this tunneling to work let us all know
I'd imagine so! About to try this out on one of my Compaq LTE 5000 series.. I'll try it with a Xircom Pocket Ethernet III! You will need the ODI driver for the network card (can put that in autoexec.bat above the "TCPIP" line), and then need to modify the IP addresses in nwclient et.cfg to match the router and an unused IP address on your local network.
Took a little more tweaking than that (had to modify net.cfg and remove the bioscheck executable which locked up my computer), but I did make a disk image for this and put it here: github.com/cml37/dos-utils/blob/master/network/novell/clients/resources/yyziclas-xircom-pocket-ethernet-iii.img
pause thru the booting of the dos box. he's using Netware TCP.IP drivers, then he uses a Retro bridge driver and runs Netware IPX/SPX over the bridge driver
@RetroTech Chris I also noticed that the supervisor account it protected with a password how did do that because I want to do the same thing I know when iclas loads on mine it automatically signs in to the supervisor account without password if you can can he share his novell server setup how he did everything if not that's ok

You might need to further modify nwclient
et.cfg to specify a free IP address on your network and the IP address of your router.
I would put a network card in your model 25 but cool try the pocket!

For the server portion of it, we will have to ask Kevin, but it involves a series of tunneling and TCP drivers, I believe!
