This is great! Very helpful for my current research. Would you let me know whether we can add steady state condition? I want to simiulate the temperature-displacement behavior of a solid beam submerged in a hot bath to see transient distortion and final expansion.
Thank you for making these useful tutorials. Are there any tutorials about 3D metal deposition? Anything related to additive manufacturing would be helpful. Regards.
Great video, thank you so match, what is the difference between surface film condition and surface radiation, can I use both for steel test at elevated temperature in Oven ? thank you in advance ....
In the interaction film condition, when you set the amplitude of the sink temperature you also you set a sink temperature constant value. Shouldn't you have to choose between one or the other?
Hi, you have done a great job. I set initial temp in Predefined field and it is not propagated to step 1 instead it is saying computed... and at beginning, of step one temp is starting from 0, because of this I have a large contraction in my part. Please help me to solve this.
Thank you for this video. Can you tell me though would it be possible to model a surface-to-surface contact analysis in a coupled temperature displacement step? I'm using a surface flux as the load on C3D8T elements and i need to have mechanical interactions but I cannot get my model working. Thank you in advance.
Since the sink temperature is 600, the piece can not reach a temperature over 900°C because it goes against the laws of heat exchange. The mistake is when we define the amplitude, we need to set a coefficient that multiple the reference value, in this case the sink temperature. So if we want that the temperature starts to 23 at time zero and reach 600 at 7200 s we need to write 0 - 0.038333 in the first row and 7200 - 1 in the second row.
video is very helpful sir. Please guide me how to add properties while performing turning operation and to get tool -chip interface temperature during simulation process
There is an error in the Film Condition Interaction: The sink temperature is always the starting value and not the final value. So Sink Temp should be 23
hello sir, I have been watching your videos in the past days and i really liked them. I am totally new to abaqus and I am currently trying to create a simulation model (thermal-stress analysis). I would really appreciate your help and I can pay you a fees if you agree. Can you send me your email and I will send you the details of the analysis that I want to perform.
Nice tutorial, the best of yours are the explanation of both physics and software problem. Thank you

Thanks, it was really helpful.
How did you specify film coefficients at different temperatures?
Coefficient of heat transfer is function of temperature. You will find the number in lit.
thank you
How can we assimilate the temperature to the damage during the machining
I could not find the right path
thanks again

how can we perform natural frequency at different temp state(thermal modal analysis)

Thanks for the great video. Its very informative.
Is it possible to perform this analysis with axisymmetric modelling? For instance, could you analyse this cylinder by sketching a rectangle?
Yes possible
if possible can u please make a video of FSW of AL-Alloys for heat transfer analysis using user subroutine dflux??!!!
