I just bought a new Ford F-150. I have never done anything to my new trucks but get the long-handled brush and a bucket of soap and begin "scrubbing". This time I washed, used clay bar and lube, and then sealant. The truck went from rough, bumpy paint to smooth as glass. When Yvan said his Jeep was a rental vehicle I instantly knew what kind of life its paint has had. I do out-work for a couple of the rental companies at the airport in my city. So when a renter does something like bring their dog, smoke, or spill something they literally do not have the time to deal with that. The customer(renter) winds up paying extra for me to do it. BUT what really makes me cry is how they wash their vehicles. They spray on car wash and immediately brush the whole vehicle. Then they rinse and drive it out into the sun to dry. Every vehicle has the mats removed too. Because vacuuming the same spot twice is too much work.

If working in the sun, work in smaller sections. How to Rinseless Wash & decontaminate outside! Ceramic Coating Series (#1 of 3) th-cam.com/video/Itzm1tOWLYU/w-d-xo.html
I recently used the diy decontamination towel, with diy iron remover, after rinseless washing. It was a 2000 civic and we only did the hood, after doing the windshield. From my knowledge, the car has never been decontaminated. This was the very first time i used the diy detail Synthetic Perforated decontamination Towel as well and I heard it was best to break it in on the windshield. after using it on the hood, it seemed to still have just a few specks when gliding my fingers across. The windshield was insanely glassy smooth - the hood was glassy as well but still had a tiny bit of grit left. Is this normal? Would a clay bar remove it since the diy towel is medium grade? (Or am i wrong) thank you Yvan and Nick for all your great work.
I applied hydro lite a couple of months ago. Wife drove the car and got some liquid from the highway on the car and the surface is rough. I foamed rinse foamed it, used iron remover with synthetic decontamination rag and it’s still rough. Any recommendations on what to do to remove the contamination?
Is this an older recorded video? I could have sworn I watched a video where you said you put hydro lite on the wrangler. Not complaining - I'm just wondering if I should be getting excited for another amazing DIY product haha.

@@diydetailofficial but if I was to follow these steps on my car… when would you suggest I do the door jams, and do they need the decon and water spot remover etc etc?
Love your content and your products. Quick question. Though I used to clean my own cars and wax, etc., I have never done a chemical decontamination on my car. I found it interesting to hear both of you commenting on the sound of contamination as you glide the decontamination towel over the surface. Not that I doubted you, but it was crazy hearing the sound. The question, what do you do if the sound doesn’t go away? Also, as a lifelong Omahan, how’d you guys end up here?
