Always interesting to see old collections and think about how the original collector built them. Thanks for sharing!

Nicely done Ken. I always enjoy your episodes. I would keep the book as is; the story behind it is more important to me than preserving the stamps.

Thanks Jeff! - That's one for keeping it as is and two for removing the stamps. A statistical even split so far.

Wow, that revenue section is great. I’ve always loved BOB stamps

Nice Blue Yeti! 😉 Cool album too. I think your sleuthing makes sense; I started imagining the checkmarks on pages denoted when the collector was satisfied that the appropriate stamps had been moved to a new album. I know many folks use stock books for starter collections these days, but I think of the composition book as a 'proper collection' until it got an upgrade, rather than a holding area. Thanks for sharing!

Nice spot on those check marks. I bet you’re right.

Hi Ken, the new equipment, especially the microphone definitely make a positive difference. Great gift from your wife! Thank you for an interesting video. It is the first time that I see a stamp collection in a composition book. An excellent gift, as you could use some of the stamps for your own collection. Please forgive me if this sounds heartless, but I think, since the composition book's paper is not archival safe, I would have removed all the stamps, and let go of the book, except if it might really be of historical value for some reason, apart from the time and trouble the collector put into the collection. 1984 is almost here! Happy New Year!!! 🙂🎉🥳

Oh, thank you for the feedback. the book itself is not particularly important, I just feel bad destroying someone’s joy. Happy New Year!

Oh, excellent. I think I can make it a little better still. It's a huge improvement, though; I agree.

I always enjoy getting new stamps. I currently working on my First edition s and just surpassed 200 Scott #1 editions. Italy is really interesting how many first editions there are. Your sound and lighting seemed great, what a great present from your wife. As always Happy Collecting the other Ken

200! Wow. That's fun. Do you keep them in a 1st ed. album?

Hi Ken, love all the videos you post - I learn a lot from watching each of them. Why not keep the composition book but put the more common stamps inside stamp mounts and then mount them directly onto the paper. I don’t know if the mounts will weigh the paper down but it’s an option

Thank you. Mounting them is a good idea. I don't know if that will protect them either. Research to do.

HAPPY NEW YEAR from Athens/Greece. If it were me i'd take ALL the stamps out of the album and just keep it empty.

I've been to Athens -- love to go back some day. That's two in favor of emptying the book.
