Just keep on rolling, just got into the 40k Warhammer universe and I love the lore and such. If this does happen then I am canceling my amazon prime membership because thats the only way to make them listen to us.
Just remember everybody. This is just starting, Warhammer in GW still have enough time before they become like Star wars to fix everything that they've screwed up so far, If Henry drops out of the deal then that means GW can drop out of the deal and that screws over Amazon because then they lose all influence that they have gained over Warhammer which would be a massive win for the community even though some people would say that it's actually a loss because it's not"diverse enough" like are you kidding me? Warhammer is so damn diverse. They have books for every faction, you don't see Star wars doing that and I do you? Warhammer 40K is perfect the way it was before Amazon got involved. And now that Amazon is involved, they're trying to shove the whole girl power and diversity thing down. Everybody's throats Even though it's always been a thing in Warhammer, it was just always overshadowed by the entire badasses with guns that can blow your chest into splinters in one shot If Henry truby does drop the series and decides the partner off with like Hulu or Netflix with it instead, then there's a chance to save Warhammer before it is truly lost
It's a shame studios don't appreciate Henry Cavill more. He is so invested in the source material of every project he takes up, which will most likely be well received by fans. He's becoming a rare breed and it's difficult to find actors/actresses as dedicated as him.
Not surprised. They ruined the Halo series they produced when they removed chief's helmet and revealed his face. Amazon just like all the other woke bs ignores more/canon and do whatever they want while throwing the middle finger to the fans of the material they're basing movies/tv shows on.
y'know i've never played the games or the TTRPG, but i honestly love the grim darkness theme of Warhammer 40k... keep the Woke feminist agenda OUT of that. keep on Fighting, Man of Steel!
I've left almost every IP from my childhood and Teen years. I never got into warhammer and probably wont. I'll stick to Hyborian age (Conan) as even D&D got "modernized" in fantasy genre. Time to make my own culture.
Would a successful Warhammer cinematic universe be as popular as Marvel or Star Wars. Honestly, I know next to nothing about Warhammer as a franchise beyond some gameplay and hearing lore from watching miniature painting streams, but from what I can see, I don't think it can. I just don't think it has the range to compete with something like Marvel. I mean, the genre of the Warhammer franchise is called grim dark, and it seems to focus on that very pointed side of entertainment. That's not to say it won't be popular, it very much would be. But in my opinion, in order to compete with something like Marvel or Star Wars, it has to feature a broad range of stories. War and desolation, sure, but also hope and restoration. Comedy and tragedy, love and loss, dark and light. Emotional and physical growth. Seeking vengeance and finding peace. From what I have seen of the franchise, there just is not enough of the light side of things to make something that would appeal long term to average people. I mean, seriously, can you imagine a buddy comedy set in the 40K universe? Unironically?
All facts,Let Cavill cook and the show will be more than amazing I believe it would be bigger than anything that came before leave the political bull💩 out of our hobbies I for 1 will not be watching it if Cavill does walk away
If they want Women in the 40k universe for the movie, try the "Sisters of Battle" approach. They exist in the 40k realm and are as bad ass as a Space Marine in their own way. They have a whole selection that guard the emperor of mankind FFS. Don't water down the experience that some of us Games Workshop supporters have had for nigh on 35 years. Make your own system if the Wokies want to ruin something and see it flop, don't ruin something that isn't broken . Don't do a Starwars.
With the sheer volume, depth and quality of lore in 40k, it genuinely could be a global mainstream hit and establish a dynasty in the mainstream. This, however, will only happen if it is done properly. Lore accurate, dark as hell, violent, gory, epic, poignant. It seems that Amazon can't do this and so despite the set and cgi effects their money would buy, it's not worth it for rhe rest of the crap. Hopefully someone will snap it up in a few years and do it proud. I have to say, I don't think GW themselves have covered themselves in glory. In this deal they have come across very naive, subservient and their usual greedy selves. For anyone new to GW they are not the company they once were. I am a lifelong, passionate warhammer fan. I can't stand the way GW operate these days however. The hobby of not just wargaming and hobbling is bigger than GW and even warhammer itself has now transcended its creator to be bigger than them in every way.
I don't know who put this video together, but at 9:16 to 9:47 (I think?) they start showing Star Wars stuff... What does Star Wars have to do with Warhammer? Nothing! That's what! Edit: I despise what Disney has done to Star Wars and the MCU... And pretty much anything they have touched as of late. Same goes for a lot of the entertainment companies who have chosen a political agenda over an actual storyline. I have always liked Henry Cavill as an actor. Seeing his nerdy side and his attention to detail, and injecting his knowledge of the material source into what he does makes a good impression. Choosing to stick to the lore and not giving them an inch of leeway on WH40K just makes sense. If he allowed Amazon to have their way with it and didn't stick to his guns on it would make him a sellout, and he would know it. Better to give it up than to let Amazon bring their ideals and agenda to fruition under his watch. Games Workshop and Amazon should be ashamed of the decisions they have made on this... The ONLY things they didn't make a mistake on was deciding to make a Warhammer 40K series with Henry at the helm, and putting him in a role in the series. Other than that, they are trying to take a big fat stinky DEI dump on the whole thing! The way I see it, if Amazon and Games Workshop gets their way, the show is going to be a complete flop. Most of the people who are WH40K fans aren't going to want anything to do with the series whatsoever. Henry Cavill will want nothing to do with that. If they refuse to give up on injecting their political ideals into the series, he will leave. As well he should if that is the case.
If the problème is only female custodian is easy resolution. There are the sisters of silence yet in lore and there are the same importance of custodian
I really hope they listen to Henry and stop all the bullshit they're doing, but if they don't then I hope the project burns to the ground. Also am I the only one annoyed by the way the video pronounces custodes?
I play Nids and GSC i hope Amazon gets it together and follows what Henry is wants Warhammer 40K. If amazon blows this maybe another streaming service (not Netflix) can grab on and follow the lore properly. Henry can be brought on as well
Like, is it that hard to let warhammer be... warhammer? Why force the female space marines and custodes when the lore goes against it (we are still talking of an horrendously productivist and utilitarian dystopian and xenophobic empire, why bring modern moral values into it?) ? And it's not as if we didn't already have female badass characters. I mean, in a verse with motherfriggin' CELESTINE, the sisters of battle, Shadowsun, the captain of Angron's flagship, inquisitors, Yvraine, the Calidus assasins (not sure of the name anymore) and the oh so numerous terrifyingly strong eldar/drukkari women, who sincerely thinks women were not sufficiently represented? (I willingly excluded Slaanesh because.... Slaanesh is Slaanesh)
I cant stand the interviews making jabs at a man having a hobby. I doubt he will ever see this but, Henry, you're a human. You deserve the right to have hobbies homes.
I did a Google search to see what female custodes looks like. She looks Pretty Badass. What is so bad about a Strong Badass Woman? You would think Female fans would be on board with a Strong badass Female character. We have had Badass Women characters through Movies and comics. From Sarah Connor to Wonder Woman to Harley Quinn to Storm and Black Widow. Why is it such a problem now? Why scream woke at it now? Because some Celebrity told people what to think? Since when can we not think for ourselves?
The gene seed would not work for women but there are a group of badass women, their called the sisters of battle or silence no need for female custodies or female space marines just use the established lore but hey they don't care they only like to destroy anything good in the world
What's the point of watching something that is not even close to what it should be? Like they did with Lords of the Rings? It's just a shell rotten inside.
They need to stay loyal to the lore or it could end up another rings of power situation. I stopped watching the Witcher about 3 episodes into the second season when I realized that they wanted to make it more about the women and less about the Witcher and if they don’t keep to the lore, I’ll skip this as well. I won’t even give it a chance and watch 1 single episode or movie. I’m tired of Hollywood taking something loved by the fans and ruining it in the name of diversity.
He is a great epic actor, but because of his recognition, I think they are trying to shove woke agenda by piggy back on every movie he is in. This woke education is trying very hard to reach everyone especially children. If only producers can create a new independent studio to create movies that is dedicated to just making movies with an intent to entertain and bring comic characters, like he said, loyal to source material. Movies would still be a worth watching in cinemas. Nowadays, to be honest, we don't really see many great movies like the past. People cheered and scream when Darth Vader enters, People shouted ASSEMBLED in the endgame, the cheers cameos and laugh out loud in Deadpool, Superman's first flight, etc
Amazon has no clue about Warhammer and its lore to the point they ''felt'' they needed to make not just any Unit or chapter have a female presents But The Adeptus Custodes. The Elite Body guards to the God Emperor. Female space marines don't exist because they are not compatible with the gene seed. That. Is. Lore. The Custodes are akin to Space marines, Like Space marines are to the rest of the Imperium. The fact that annoys me the most is they even had the balls to say that there was not much material in 40k for female representation... There are a lot of material in 40k that has women present including two units : The sisters of battle and the sisters of silence. They could have even introduced a new chapter but no.. Its the 1no unit that matters most, screw everything else.
There’s also a plethora of strong female characters from Guard units, the Inquisiton. Shit most Craftworlds have pretty exceptional Farseers who tend to be overly female and have done some exceptional feats throughout the novels and lore.
Like Why, Why!! sticking to the lore you get new fans and old fans that bring in the new fans who bring in their friends and family ect... when MCU was at its peak even my parents who where in their late 50s were into it because we were into it. This just shows how disconnected these producers and writers are in movies and in games theres so much easy money on the table but they mess it up every time. makes you wonder how these people get leadership roles its infuriating.
So, how did Henry Cavill fired back? All i saw was a video made of compilations of Henry and not 1 single statement of him about the issue. Thumbs down.

I don't understand it. Are those people allergic to money?
Politics is in every corner of our society. Also, to big houses is good when they loose money..because then they don't pay taxes, and that's good for money laundry 🙂
To be fair, Gorlock would make a fine Great Unclean One.
Or Nurgle
Still wearing his cape even in 2024
What we need to see is GW retract the rights from Amazon and we just wait to get our Warhammer show/movies, Amazon was the wrong company for this
I love when the girl fawning over him who probably wouldn't give him the time of day otherwise says that is so cool you paint figurines, and he responds "IS IT?"
Heh, you better watch that part again.
For one the interviewer was Felicia Day who can probably out-geek even Henry :-D (starred in the Guild among many other things) That why she also know what W40K is and that you paint your army.
Also the "Is it" was said by Joey Batey (Jaskier). The things is he can make fun of that very fact, because he in fact plays warhammer and knows both the painting aspect of the hobby, and the general reaction to it ;)
Female nerds exist bro! And Felicia Day is pretty much a nerd icon.
well, they did such an amazing job with their 'rings of powder' fan fiction... with almost 150 people watching that master piece...
Agreed. Tho it is a "piece". Just "master" didn't come to mind first.
The difference between Cavill and Amazon is that the fans know he is honest. Unlike Amazon, even if somehow he messed it up, the fans would forgive him in a second and want him to try again.
@@andysyark4696 Oooh, the Woke Critic has plenty of breakdowns for every episode. I'll never have to see single one of them, as he has already shown us how Guyladriel smashes the imaginary patriarchy with her insufferably bratty entitlement and POC elves demolish the oh so devilishly White orks in all instances.
Why can't they leave well enough alone
Warhammer 40K, a game dominated by a male population, a place where women truly needed to be placed above the male consumer in their own male space.
People who laugh at others who have "geeky" hobbies shouldnt even be allowed to act in "geeky" shows. If you don't know the any of the lore of what your character, dont take the job or dont bash on anyone who actually knows the lore.
After seeing how Amazon treated "The Boys," I have very little hope for the Warhammer 40k project.
It was never even Henry's fault that he couldn't be the perfect Superman.
Why wasn't he the perfect Superman? Why is he not Superman anymore?
I'm not up on this info. Fill me in please?

The films in which Cavill starred, particularly **"Man of Steel"** and **"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,"** embraced a darker, more serious tone.
This departure from the traditionally uplifting and hopeful essence of Superman created a disconnect for some fans, who expected a character that embodies optimism and heroism.
Superman is defined by his moral integrity and hopefulness.
In Cavill's films, his character's internal conflicts and existential dilemmas often overshadowed Superman's moral integrity and hopefulness.
This focus on struggle rather than resolution may have made it harder for audiences to connect with the character on a deeper emotional level.
Cavill's films from DCEU often focused more on action and visual spectacle over substantive character development.
This emphasis left little room for Cavill to fully explore the complexities of Superman's character, limiting the depth of his portrayal.
The DCEU's shifting creative direction led to inconsistencies in storytelling and character arcs.
This lack of a cohesive vision affected Cavill's Superman, making his character feel somewhat disjointed within the broader cinematic universe.
Unlike other superheroes who enjoyed multiple solo films, Cavill's Superman had fewer opportunities for character exploration.
A more focused narrative could have allowed for a richer development of Superman's identity and values.
Superman is a cultural icon with a long legacy.
The weight of fan expectations shaped by previous portrayals-most notably Christopher Reeve's-created a challenging environment for Cavill.
Many viewers had preconceived notions of what Superman should embody, making it difficult for any new interpretation to resonate universally.
In summary, while Henry Cavill possesses the attributes to portray an exceptional Superman, external factors-including tonal choices, writing quality, and character development-significantly influenced the audience's reception of his performance.
These elements combined to create a portrayal that, while commendable, fell short of the ideal for some fans.
Henry Cavill stepped away from the role of Superman as Warner Bros. and DC Films underwent a major shift in leadership and creative direction.
Following the release of "Zack Snyder's Justice League," James Gunn and Peter Safran became the chosen new executives to lead the DC Universe in late 2022.
In the wake of these changes, Gunn and Safran announced plans to reboot the franchise, which included developing a new Superman film focused on a younger version of the character.
Although Cavill had made a brief return in a cameo for "Black Adam" and expressed excitement about reprising his role, the new creative vision rendered his continuation as Superman incompatible with the planned direction.
This decision reflects the broader strategy to redefine the DC Universe, moving away from previous iterations and focusing on fresh narratives.
Consequently, Cavill's tenure as Superman, which began with "Man of Steel" in 2013, came to an unexpected end, marking a poignant shift in the portrayal of this iconic character.

I think he was great as superman
@@shaneblackwoodGodbless If people from WB and DC treated and developed DCEU even better and more properly like Kevin Feige and Marvel did to MCU, Henry's Superman would have been even greater.
Just keep on rolling, just got into the 40k Warhammer universe and I love the lore and such. If this does happen then I am canceling my amazon prime membership because thats the only way to make them listen to us.
I wish Michael Fassbender fought this hard with Assassin's Creed.
Just ask Lord of the Rings fans how much Amazon values faithful adaptations.
Amazon is doing a Harry Potter show, and one of the people working on it HATES being faithful to the source material. DIDN’T EVEN READ THE BOOKS!
As a great man once said, GO WOKE GO BROKE!!!
Wooowwww... Gavil's points just went through the roof ✊✌
Everybody's throats Even though it's always been a thing in Warhammer, it was just always overshadowed by the entire badasses with guns that can blow your chest into splinters in one shot
If Henry truby does drop the series and decides the partner off with like Hulu or Netflix with it instead, then there's a chance to save Warhammer before it is truly lost
That THING on the thumbnail can be cast as grandfather Nurgle.
Gorlock the destroyer as papa nurgle is perfect😂😂
Can we agree that the thumbnail in this video would be a perfect match to play Nurgle?
I'm so sick of men not being allowed to have their own thing.
I can assure you fans are outraged, and they are with Henry..
Chief died in my heart the second he took off that helmet.
These idiots at Amazon probably don't know the Emperor's wrath and it's better for them not to.
Nah gorlak the destroyer as an ork would be lit😂
Just from the thumbnail. I haven’t watched yet
im sorry that is disrespectful for the NURGLES, they find it very offensive
I was never a fan of Warhammer in the first place but if you cant do it right, dont do it at all.
If gamesworkshop goes allong with it im starting to 3d print EVERYTHING on demand.... at bottom pricings (non profit) want a colusus for 10$? sure!
I want male amazonians in Wonder Woman. I feel so discriminated 😣😠😣😠
Does Amazon not realize that if Henry leaves a 40k project we'll all know why amd it will fail? Did they not see what happened to The Witcher?
Cavill Pictures. We make things right. By fans for fans. Lets lore rule over modern stupidity.
Amazon doesn’t own the IP of warhammer. They have to follow what direction GW say.
Not again....
The woman in the thumbnail could be cast in a 40K world show. Nurgle is a thing, someone has to play Great Unclean One, and why not her.
I dont want to have anything to do with Warhammer anymore if they ruin it
Leave it to Cavill and it can turn as big as Star Wars or LoTR. Please give us the miracle!
After seeing him use a sword in the Witcher, I think Conan the Barbarian could be another awesome role Henry could play.
Amazon is the perfect example of Chaos God
y'know i've never played the games or the TTRPG, but i honestly love the grim darkness theme of Warhammer 40k... keep the Woke feminist agenda OUT of that. keep on Fighting, Man of Steel!
The Emperor protects??? Maybe, Maybe Not... But Henry Cavill will
Look to the Roboute Cavill Guilliman The Henry!
Amazon Wokeness will kill any franchise
YOu should have made Warhammer in HBO
The thing is we don't like broccoli😊
I've left almost every IP from my childhood and Teen years. I never got into warhammer and probably wont. I'll stick to Hyborian age (Conan) as even D&D got "modernized" in fantasy genre. Time to make my own culture.
Yep I’m out! Can’t have anything anymore!
I would so love to stand across the table from Cavill and play a game.
If it doesn’t come out the right way everyone should boycott the series to teach Amazon a lesson.
All facts,Let Cavill cook and the show will be more than amazing I believe it would be bigger than anything that came before leave the political bull💩 out of our hobbies I for 1 will not be watching it if Cavill does walk away
Why don't they just use The Sisters of Battle at times and be done with it. What is so hard with following the lore?
Henry cavil should open up his own studio. It will follow the story and the audience will fund you.
I see we've just got Kugath's new actor
Cus-toe-Dees !!!!
I imagine the cover was a bait, but you are all mistaking, that thing would be a great cast for the lordd plague is ? The green blob of kaos demons
There are the sisters of silence yet in lore and there are the same importance of custodian
best thing to do is run very fast they are not trustworthy like most movie makers and the gaming industry
I really hope they listen to Henry and stop all the bullshit they're doing, but if they don't then I hope the project burns to the ground. Also am I the only one annoyed by the way the video pronounces custodes?
They have The Sisters of Battle but its never enough.
Cast her as great unclean.
It's perfect ❤
Gorlok the Destroyer would make a good Beast of Nurgle npc tho xD
The gene seed would not work for women but there are a group of badass women, their called the sisters of battle or silence no need for female custodies or female space marines just use the established lore but hey they don't care they only like to destroy anything good in the world
Cast her as a great unclean one with asmondgold as a plauge bearer
What's the point of watching something that is not even close to what it should be? Like they did with Lords of the Rings? It's just a shell rotten inside.
They need to stay loyal to the lore or it could end up another rings of power situation. I stopped watching the Witcher about 3 episodes into the second season when I realized that they wanted to make it more about the women and less about the Witcher and if they don’t keep to the lore, I’ll skip this as well. I won’t even give it a chance and watch 1 single episode or movie. I’m tired of Hollywood taking something loved by the fans and ruining it in the name of diversity.
We are not fail we are Ultramarines
I will NOT watch Warhammer if they fk up and screw over HC.
Henry Cavill protects!
I stand up with Henry. I hope they build it right and not woke. Like Disney
Well I think it’s time to summon the black Templar and tell them there’s a new crusade against the woke
Did they really forget the sisters of battle
Bro shes saying the same thing over and over but just wording it diffrent XD
How did no one notice ...it f@cken hurts my head
I used to be like that with Star Wars, but not anymore.
Amazon has no clue about Warhammer and its lore to the point they ''felt'' they needed to make not just any Unit or chapter have a female presents
But The Adeptus Custodes.
This just shows how disconnected these producers and writers are in movies and in games theres so much easy money on the table but they mess it up every time. makes you wonder how these people get leadership roles its infuriating.
what is the purpose of female castodies? were the sisters of battle, and sisters of silence not enough for you?
So, how did Henry Cavill fired back?
All i saw was a video made of compilations of Henry and not 1 single statement of him about the issue.
Thumbs down.
