If they deem an action immoral, then they can simply proceed and enact whatever punishment they feel suits the crime. It's unjust, immoral and criminal in and of itself. If they were trying to make the world a better place, they should've simply informed the authorities, hand them the evidence, and let the system take care of it. Especially the fact that they did it to multiple people, blackmailing them, forcing them into doing shit none of them wanted to do, and people got hurt, or killed even. They're not Zorros, they're hypocrites that deserve to be trialled themselves. Quite obviously too. The fact that the Normies were debating this is kinda funny though.
XaeeD the courts don't punish them enough, if the people of society felt like peadophiles got punished fairly for their crimes they wouldn't get the backlash as bad as they do. so you can also blame the legal system for not doing their part hence why many peadophiles get killed while they're already incarcerated by other prisoners because they don't get nowhere near long enough or punished appropriately

I think ya'll are having the wrong conversation at the end. The question isn't whether or not what the kid did was wrong or illegal. It is wrong, period. But the real question Black Mirror brings up (and brings up in other episodes) is what punishment do we find acceptable as a society? Do we accept vigilantes as a society? Do we accept psychological torture as a society? Do we view criminal punishment as vengeance or reform? ETc.
How are some of them defending watching child pornography?! How? A child was harmed in the making of that video or image, moreover he's obviously going to act on those urges later in life.. he's already doing that as a young boy, and being creepily friendly to children at the start of the episode.
TheSuperNats no but if up treat it like a mental illness. Then are able to help the person and not every person that is that faps to kids is fapping to sexually explicit material involving child sexual abuse. It could be clothed children or some lolicon stuff.
The majority of pedophiles never actually molest a child. Watching child pornography is obviously awful aswell, but hardly deserving of this punishment.
Did they ever mention one of the main reasons this is probably hackers doing it for fun and trolling? Even after the people they caught they sent trolling shit eating grin memes to them. If it’s really about noble justice you don’t do that. And my guess is the drone fight was probably broadcast or sold on the dark web.
Heres the truth of the matter: Not all rapists and/or child molesters are pedophiles and not all pedophiles go on to rape or molest. But here is a statistic society consistently ignores: Most people who have been raped or molested as children DO NOT go on to rape or molest children. HOWEVER, the majority of those who rape or molest children *HAVE BEEN raped or molested as children*. The question is, how can we create a system that protects children well enough, so that a portion of that broken population doesn't grow up to victimize others the same way they were victimized? Why aren't we researching the link between childhood trauma and the impulse to abuse??
People who defend or brush off watching child porn treating it as not harmful should have to experience everything the kids experience in the making of the porn. It is not a victimless crime. It's a disgusting attitude to act as though it's so much better than actually molesting a kid. Those kids ARE molested. And then it's made public. They grow up and the reminder is out there every day. They have to live knowing people are getting off to their abuse. That's a horrible thing to go through.
LEGION!? HELL YEA! Make that shit regular. It just finished it's first season and it's pretty much the BEST superhero show in existence at this point in time.
Basically everyone, or at least the vast majority, of people are pieces of shit in this episode, to differing degrees. The people being manipulated are very clearly terrible people and anyone can see that, but I don't know why people would defend the hackers. They fucked with people for the fun of it in really fucked up ways. Yes, the people they were fucking with were awful, but they could have just as easily given an anonymous tip to the cops/wife/colleagues about the individuals they hacked. If nothing else, though, I think we can agree that the hackers suck for having the kid rob the bank cause that's just a whole lot of inconvenience for the people working at and the people using that bank who never did anything wrong...
You guys need to watch Black Mirror more often. I've never seen you guys have such an all out discussion. Definitely one of my favorite Normies videos. I like how Black Mirror are one of those shows that make you think.
This episode brings up important issues and obviously heated debates, but let's remember to still treat the +The Normies and each other with love and kindness.
I went through the same thing with my mom when I told her I was bi. And my mom is white. So parents can be shitty regardless of race. Your not alone Navi, don't worry 😊
You guys also gotta realize that Kenny is only 18. Sure, he's legally an adult, but he's not some old man. He's young. He'll probably get off easier in terms of the robbery and self-defense (possible) murder.
Kenny was exposed for looking at “child films” So he’s not all that innocent. I started to get hints of it especially when you revisit the very first scene of him giving that little girl that toy. That little clue alone should have given us the hint. Also if it wasn’t so bad he would not have gone through that extreme lengths just to hide his dirty secrets. One more hint he could have told his family what happened if it was regular films but he didn’t because it was more disturbing!!
@@TJMalana Yeah, him going to such great length was an indicator, but the interaction with the little girl honestly wasn't (or is only in retrospect). If we didn't know better, it could've very well just been just to portray him as a sensitive, likable character.
BUT tbf the voices of Thom Yorke and Matt Bellamy sound VERY similar in the higher register, so I get how anyone who doesn't know all the songs of each artist can get confused
Yeah, the scene where he had to fight to the death was the soft confirm, maybe even before that when he was in the car before the bank robbery. Just the fact he was willing to go this far should prove it. I can't believe they needed the one guy to point to the kid in the restaurant early in the episode to be convinced.
Shrive was the name of the company that he downloaded the "malware remover" or whatever from. Shrive means "to assign penance" or "to present oneself for penance/absolution." The hackers were going after anyone who committed a sin and tried to cover it up with their software, no matter how small or large said sin was.
First, I think the kid was like 16 since he mentioned earlier in the episode that he was learning to drive. However, I also think he was looking at pictures of like five-year-olds. The thing is, there are no good characters in this episode. The people we see and the ones we don’t see are both awful. It’s just to different degrees. The faceless hackers could have easily turned in the criminals or gave anonymous tips
Oh, wow. The #ShavingBallers conspiracy WAS real. :) Anyway, #BlueBallers Pat, do they not realize it has the Rock? The Rock! Seriously, it's not a bad show. Give it a chance. Meanwhile, Community is awesome. Glad it's on the wheel. And finally, Legion! Great news! Can't wait for the reactions!
The confirmation came from the extent THEY made these people go through. As bad as Bron was, it was more of a moral crime against his wife. Kenny and the other dude were the ones who this whole thing was set up to punish. This show is so many awesome its crazy.
Yh a hard confirm wasn't needed. If most of the group didn't talk so much during the show, they would have picked up on the small nuances and the subtly of the acting between both men at the end. That was confirmation enough that he was also looking at kids. That's why it's called acting not everything has to spelled out.
"Just put a tape on that" "I'm gonna start doing that" "Yeah, that's why I'm have it on mine" Totally did the exact same thing after watching this episode xD
liked this before watching. black mirror is amazing, glad u are watching, and this episode is chilling. your debate at the end is why black mirror is amazing, almost every episode brings debate.
Ya know, all things considered, I’m pretty sure everyone involved in the illegal side of the activities would’ve gotten off. Consider that they were threatened to do something or their family would die or their secret would get out. I’m sure our main character as well as the husband would get not guilty on all charges.
Funny how Marketa feels the hackers aren't good-intentioned vigilantes and don't deserve praise, but didn't understand why people saw Dolores as a villain, or at best an anti-hero. I do agree with her that it's sad those people can't get help. I think it's idealized that Navi insists that boy can get help when Pat is over here screaming to kill him, and they'll never change. That mentality is what tells pedophiles not to say anything.
Pat reminds me of an acquaintance who used to act JUST like him. Like, you would think that he thinks he can somehow interact with the world behind the TV screen.
I’m glad they are actually finding it hard to agree. One thing black mirror does great is “moral ambiguity”. It seems that some ppl agree with the hackers saying they deserve what they got. But at the same time, don’t they need a place to get help? Especially if they don’t have any one to tell or they feel like they cant tell anyone. Are they all still humans beings? Should they have a chance to redeem themselves? Again, the reason they are all arguin is “Moral ambiguity”.
The hackers are horrible and would ruin people's lives just for entertainment. The African guy in the end didn't deserve the confrontation from his wife because he was gay. This all just proves that the hackers were truly the bad guys because they invade people's privacy. The hackers should go to jail.
Possession is illegal so because of how the internet works, even if you only view it on a web page, your browser has downloaded it to display it on the page. Chris (I think it was Chris that said it) is technically right, viewing it is not illegal but in order to view it you have to had download it / have it in your possession.

This is a very unserious reaction the Guy rooting for Kenny didnt understand that both were the villans because the hackers put other people in danger in the bank and how They showed the child porn kenny watched to everyone thats distrubuting child porn to everyone Kenny knows and They made him murder someone so both were in the bad
That wheel spin was HILARIOUS.....ive only seen the 1st episode of Legion,i thought it was pretty good....btw,Community is AWESOME!!!.....Troy and Abed in the morning.....
There is a difference between pedophiles and child molesters. Someone can be a pedophile without acting on it. If someone is just a pedophile, punishing them is an act of thought crime which is wrong. If they act on their urges they become child molesters and should be punished within the full extent of the law. If he was looking at pictures, the kids in those pictures are probably being abused and he is facilitating their abuse. Which is why possessing child porn is a punishable offence.
People in this comment section get angry at someone who's views don't match theirs and say shit like they speak too much but when the person is saying the same shit they believe in then they don't mind them speaking. Double standards.
Can they not have the guy with the huge beard (second from the right). He ignorant and seems like that he doesn’t know shit. Clearly goes with the popular opinion. Type of dude who sees the world and black and white.
@@mattgarrett2583 That means nothing.. being there becasue you are in the gravitational pull of your boyfriend and you are in the videos doesn't make you "all really good friends" or make her a big deal... anywhere lol. Poor girl is just not in her click, her group her people but everyone involved is trying for the boyfriend as they care for him.. 🤷🏼♀️ my interpretation I guess.
The scene where he was watching appropriate-age porn and the scene where he gets arrested actually make sense. The first one, because he was disinterested and bored with what was onscreen, looking away and fidgeting, a way that NO straight teen boy would behave- unless he has a sick perversion that regular porn won't fill. And the arresting scene- It's true that if viewing child porn was his only crime, because he's barely 18, he would probably be sent to a rehabilitation center or an institution rather than prison, BUT the thing is that's NOT his only crime. You guys said that he beat the shit out of the other guy, but it's implied that he actually KILLED that guy, because he didn't want his secret to be told. That's why he's going to jail- it's for murder. The hackers told him to fight the man but not to kill him, and that's why he's getting punished by law- because they didn't intend for him to commit murder, only to be caught for viewing child porn. They most likely just called the police on his ass after they saw the murder through the webcam. Sorry about the long comment lol, this was bothering me during the discussion
1. The hackers wrote "fight to death". 2. You still want to project that the hackers did their shit because they were bad people...there is no indication for that in the episode, just your interpretation. Most likely, they're just sadists, using criminals as puppets, because these are the only people they can force to do their commands.

No? That would've been the right thing to do. You have no right playing with someone else's life because you _feel_ like it's the right punishment. If everyone acted by their own moral code isntead of handing criminals to the justice system, the world would be chaos.
The Courts are corrupt, and they don't stop enough crime.
And the courts also don't dispense justice, plenty of innocent people go to jail.

I was waiting to see your reaction to Bronn 7:07
Jonathan Haymaker I love how it literally just feels like the character bronn living in our time
I think ya'll are having the wrong conversation at the end.
Becki P there's you can't say for sure every pedophilie will molest someone that's like saying every closeted gay person will eventually be gay.
Mr Harmon201 but they’re still benefiting off of the psychological and physical torture of children. It’s wrong it can never be right.
TheSuperNats no but if up treat it like a mental illness. Then are able to help the person and not every person that is that faps to kids is fapping to sexually explicit material involving child sexual abuse. It could be clothed children or some lolicon stuff.
So many things wrong about this thread too many to even address lol
That's a horrible thing to go through.
so if you watch a video of someone getting murdered should you also be arrested for it?
LEGION!?

Pat is all about them thought crimes.

"Sneaky Navi is sneaky" xD love you Navi!
I'VE WAITED MY WHOLE LIFE FOR THIS MOMENT
I went through the same thing with my mom when I told her I was bi. And my mom is white. So parents can be shitty regardless of race. Your not alone Navi, don't worry 😊
no way these people got together and yapped for an hour about a black mirror episode
It’s not like he was dating a girl 2 years younger and she loves him he was being a creep on 10 yr old girls
@@TJMalana Yeah, him going to such great length was an indicator, but the interaction with the little girl honestly wasn't (or is only in retrospect). If we didn't know better, it could've very well just been just to portray him as a sensitive, likable character.
@ileanna i don't get the point of the comment, he talked about punishment

YES!!!! Ive been looking forward to these black mirror reactions ever since i finished the show
"Jaime fuckin Lannister." 😂😂🤣🤣 Suraj is too good with the impersonations.
it's radiohead not fucking muse
BUT tbf the voices of Thom Yorke and Matt Bellamy sound VERY similar in the higher register, so I get how anyone who doesn't know all the songs of each artist can get confused
Love how this show can create so much conversation XD
his mom screaming at him is the most harrowing part
It's RADIOHEAD not MUSE this is distressing to me
How the hell was getting that call from his mom a “soft” confirm? 🧐
18. In the UK you can't get a drivers license until you are 18yrs old. Even though they (at the time of the episode) left school at the age of 16

Great news! Can't wait for the reactions!
good group of friends right here
The confirmation came from the extent THEY made these people go through. As bad as Bron was, it was more of a moral crime against his wife. Kenny and the other dude were the ones who this whole thing was set up to punish. This show is so many awesome its crazy.
25:34 the way he looks at the camera 🤣
LOL at the reactions to the "soft confirmation". Happy that Legion won the wheel spin.
Yh a hard confirm wasn't needed. If most of the group didn't talk so much during the show, they would have picked up on the small nuances and the subtly of the acting between both men at the end. That was confirmation enough that he was also looking at kids. That's why it's called acting not everything has to spelled out.
I'm excited to see more of your Black Mirror reviews because there's even crazier episodes. The conversations afterwards are gonna be amazing lol
"Just put a tape on that"

Honestly the superstars of this reaction are Chris, Marketa, and Suraj.
liked this before watching. black mirror is amazing, glad u are watching, and this episode is chilling. your debate at the end is why black mirror is amazing, almost every episode brings debate.
Ya know, all things considered, I’m pretty sure everyone involved in the illegal side of the activities would’ve gotten off. Consider that they were threatened to do something or their family would die or their secret would get out. I’m sure our main character as well as the husband would get not guilty on all charges.

People watching 1st time: "Awww"
People watching 2nd time: "That son of a..."
Like, you would think that he thinks he can somehow interact with the world behind the TV screen.

great reaction guys! One of my favorite episodes :)
At the end of the episode the mom calls him and clearly states that he's been watching child pornography
Radiohead mate, not Muse.
This was such a shocking episode, right alongside White Bear (although that episode was a lot more unpredictable, that twist was wild).

Seeing how much you enjoyed this episode and all of Black Mirror that you have watched so far I would love to see it get put into the regular mix of increased video output. It sounds like you have a lot recorded already so it would be easy(er) to put into the mix as well.

Rewatching this, I noticed the perfectly timed and perfect irony of the Kevin Spacey reference.... 🤯

Idk how u found u guys but I enjoy the hell out of ur group discussions of black mirror. This one in particular for everyone losing their shit. 👍👍
This is the best episode to watch twice! The whole restaurant scene with the girl and the toy makes a whooole lot of new, creepy sense then!

I'm reading the room and I'm clearly not the only one who can see it.
15:03 - Most anticlimactic moment ever
