Phenomenal results! Been following you for years and your previous trimming videos have given me the confidence to start trimming my beard when it needs it. I used to dread it and procrastinate for weeks until i finally got the guts to trim it. Now, I still get a little nervous but luckily I've been able to trim my beard to what I feel is the optimal length for my personal goals. I appreciate all you've taught us all over the years and my beard wouldn't look as good as it does if it wasn't for your channel.
Nailed it!!! Glorious sir! Ofc some of us want to see it go as long as possible, totally understand your mindset on all fronts. 6 months lolol man you have the healthiest growth possible. I’m an inch every 3 months lol so when I trim it sets me back 6 months to a Year.🍻🍻🍻 looks fantastic!
Great video Dan! These beard trim videos are always so helpful and I literally watch your video while trimming my beard. You provide an incredible service to the beard community and I for one am very grateful.
Dan, Wow! Not sure I would’ve done the same thing if I were in your shoes. I think I would’ve just put up with the inconvenience to have the length. But that’s coming from a guy with a six month beard. I will be very interested to see if your perspective changes after it’s grown back out. Thanks for sharing! JB
I have to say that I was very nervous about seeing this today. You grow the most amazing beard, and I am so glad you are our trusted teacher for all things bearded. You did a fantastic job on your beard, and it is shaped so nice. You did it without looking nervous. and that was a very big trim, which appeared to be 4 inches almost. You have taught me to trim the underneath like the front, and it gives my beard more volume and density. I would have been a basket case, since I have been growing, and mine isn't nearly as long at about 8 inches. Thanks for a great video, and for being a fantastic beard model. Grow on.
Another fantastic beard trim video Dan! I just did a pretty similar trim myself. Went from about 14 inches down to about 10 inches. Really love how my beard tends to stay together better throughout the day at this length. Keep rocking these truly helpful beard trim videos! I know they helped me a ton! 💯👊🤘
@@DanCBearded you’re welcome! It’s mind blowing that you do that without any edits. I’d definitely need to purchase some real clippers before even considering trying this on my own. However, I now understand why when I go to the barber, I’m out of the chair in 10 minutes or so. I always assume he’ll spend the full 45 (or at least close to) minutes that I book.
Looks great man! I'm about 6 months into my beard, with the help from your videos. I think I cut the neckline and around my ears a little too high and in when I first started growing. It's not crazy high up but I think that quarter inch going up my neck from the Adam's apple makes a difference now that it's getting long. It looks slightly transparent from the sides but really full from the front so I'm trying to grow out the underneath now. Used to trim every week, now that I've been growing I'm hesitant to trim, so seeing you take off a significant amount really helps. I think I might trim in a few months to see if it evens out for density. Thank you brother!
While it’s out of my budget right now, I would love to get my hands on both the trimmer and clipper. They just scream high quality, and I love the look.
Great trim! My friend. For some reason I thought this was coming out last Sunday and when it didn’t was like I have to wait another week 🤣. Your beard looks great both ways and it’s your beard so however you want to wear it you should. Plus it’s only hair it grows back.
Awesome job man, looks great either way! I’m going for the before beard, I’m going for 16 inches, currently at 5 inches so I’ve got a few more months of growing to go lol. Your videos are great and always have tips for getting the best possible results and help guys like myself get better at keeping their beards healthy and strong, I’ve tried growing my beard long before and it would end up looking horrible because of grooming errors, I did a yeard last year and it was the best one I had ever done, got more compliments on it because it was actually healthy this time. Keep up the great work Dan!
Teaching myself to stop playing with my beard now dan i use my stylus pen for my smartphone definitely helps and takes the focus off my beard. I had a shower today there was quite a bit of shedding in the sink while brushing with my anti static wooden comb thoroughly oil i might had. I wasn't concerned by the amount there was quite a bit though i tryed looking for the white blub you mentioned in the previous video i saw some white at the end so guess it must be natural then
Great trim video Dan! I trimmed mine a few weeks ago about 3 inches and it’s taken a lil to get used to but it looks fuller! Yours looks on point as always! 💪💯
Well it started off a bit painful I’ll be honest but the end results are a wider fuller looking beard! Thanks for sharing Dan it will give us some insight and courage when it’s our time for a bigger trim 🙏🏻
Man, you make that look easy… No matter how many times I have trimmed my beard, it takes me 30 minutes to put the trimmer to my beard! It’s just so hard😅 Nice job brotha!
From pervious experience this is so the right thing to do trim your own beard at the best your in charge at the wrost if you trim to short your the only one to blame right 🧔👍
Man when we met in Baton Rouge, I knew that you did an awesome job with this trim but I must say. Dang, I was nervous throughout the whole process. Great video!
@DanCBearded Dan. I hope the last comment I made to you about your beard trim and the different things that you could with your long beard were not too personal. I hope that was not the case. You are always very good at getting back to me, and I really appreciate that. I would never do anything to offend you. We bearded guys need you in the beard community. Sorry if that was the case.🙂🙂
Dan I just trimmed yesterday and this is maybe the 4th time you posted a trim of the beard or mustache within 24 hours of either me trimming or me planning the trim, how strange!
Wow, that was done so effortlessly 😲! You can stuff a pillow with all that beard hair 😅. Dennis Joseph of BaByliss is doing a lot of great things, and it's nice to see that they hooked you up with the latest tools 🙏.
Question.. I’m trying to limit the amount of tension that I’m putting on my beard when I’m taking care of it. Do I really need to comb that much when applying beard oil, butter, and wash? What if I comb through just a few times? Is that enough for the beard to get the full benefits from the products I’m using on it? I don’t really need a comb or brush to keep it from looking its best. In fact it seems to look the greatest the longer I leave it alone. I’d rather keep the waves in it rather than straightening it out and making it look flat.
Love the video! It was great. The only thing with me though is I can't trim because of religious views. Other than that, I would love to trim the beard every so often.
Your beard looked full at 15 inch's to me...but I agree with you...I have seen people with beards 16 and longer that look real raggy and thin at that length. Yours looks great at 12 as well.
Such a strange approach when someone makes a change, talks about liking the change, but then to tell them it was better before (when they didn’t ask) but you love them the same lol I will never understand that thought process
I was looking forward to this video since you announced it 2 weeks ago. But you provided much more than I expected! Yes, you absolutely should do a video on Beard Comfort Level - What it is, how to recognize it, how to achieve it, verify it; you know. Also, I learned from your scissors work. I saw but didn’t express the “proportionality” of side (curls) and learned that trimming them vertically is more effective than horizontally. That defines the flyaways in my curly beard; I didn’t notice them in your straight / wavy? beard. You recently suggested what turned out to be a 20% trim for my (5”) beard. I wonder if that might be at least part of recognizing one’s Beard Comfort Level. Perhaps the amount necessary to become aware that the level has been reached or approached. Two slight items for your attention: The scissors’ finger rest is, I believe, intended for the Little Finger. Consider testing for yourself, or confirming from Barbers, that changing your grip increases comfort, control, precision, accuracy. Lastly, as I write this, the video’s description is for Beard Knots and Buns - not trimming. If you haven’t already, you may wish to change it

I took five or six inches off of mine a couple of months ago. Sometimes it's nice just to change it up. Great video man.
It is nice, agreed!

Hey bud great video. And the beard looks Awesome!!

I’m glad you went for a curved bottom. I think the straight bottoms look bad.
All subjective. I have seen some wicked beards with the straight cut
