When you say the one guard, what is that in millimeters for example? The trimmer I currently have has three decent guards, goes to 30, however, how that translates to guard numbers? I know, geeky but trying to see how to use what I already got first. Thank you in advance.
@@BeardTube exactly what I've been doing except mine was a clearance kit from Lowe's 30 years ago. I'm 67 now & still learning - get a lot of positive feedback from mostly women at church, which irritates my wife... 😅 What was odd IMO was, beard hair transitioned from DARK brown directly to WHITE, skipped gray altogether 👀🥴

I take care of my husbands beard because he always messes it up 😂 but it’s my first beard so I watch new tips from time to time to see if there’s any tips on dealing with a beard that had swooshy curly areas on one side. It’s a bit frustrating to get the one side to match the other perfectly. I pick it first then cut then brush then cut then I use scissors and go back in that one side to match it up best I can. If anyone has a better tip to do this, do tell!
i like the part when im trimming my beard and i take a huge chunk off then just pretend its fine that is total alpha dog energy, anarchy subdued, new order include, big beard adieu, but still playing the game same as if it ever was

And ive just purchased the Beardscape Blackout edition last month, with the case and zero blade. Only used it twice. But can tell its a superb bit of kit. Anyway take care, and keep the vids coming 😊
what's your thoughts on Woodland Bear co. ? saw the summer and winter oil was thinking of getting some. also i am like a PVT 1st class in the beard world lol

I can see my face through the beard. I was hoping it would fill out if I left it, but no. Do you have any advice on helping it look better? Thanks
I feel you on the grey beard hairs starting to come in. I see them here and there and have to pluck them out because I can't stand a few that stick out. I just turned 40 and barely have any, so I think I am doing pretty good, the stress is what is getting to me though. I am trying to lower my stress levels and preserve my beard before the dye is needed. Good thing for me is most of them are trapped under the beard and not showing through yet, it's still dark 99% of my beard. Great tutorial brother! Beard on!
I’ve always been a short beard kinda guy but been wanting to start growing mine out lately. Your videos have really helped and given me a lot of knowledge for growing a kratos type of beard. Thank you!
Just wondering in your beard oil are your fragrances essential or fragrance oil? Doesn’t bother me at all and I use both just curious and what sort of percentages of fragrance do you use roughly?
That display of the side/back trip (near the ear) was helpful. Gives me better confidence. Always struggling with that spot. I want to buy a side mirror I can mount to my wall to better see it but not that far in life yet.

My biggest issue with trimming my beard is being OCD with it. By the time I get done "fixing" any perceived imperfections, I end up with a shorter beard than intended. At that point, I just start over again with a complete shave. I've only done fairly decent one time.

Tried the 3mm guard tip with a 7mm guard instead and I think I did it wrong :(. I had the clipper in the same position as you going straight down but I thought you were against the skin the whole time. I don’t think you were since my beard on the sides is much shorter than yours. What would you estimate the length of your beard sides to be?? 12-16mm?

I raw dog it with no guard. Been doing it for years and i still mess up big on occasion. Best tip he gave was take it slow, never rush.
One side is longer than the other. Would look better if was even on both sides

With a handheld mirror and your main mirror you can view yourself from the side to get that side profile right.

My beard is really whispy and could do with a base cut just to get it lined in.
trust me 360 mirror help me out with beard line i have one with Led light honestly it’s game changer for me
What about the moustache and the front? How do you trim that so that the length is proportional to the sides. I just ruined my beard lmao

Just draw an imaginary line that goes across and connects both ends of your V, and trim along that line. Should be a great starting point
