I simply have to say this: I am not a big fan of heavy metal, but everytime a metal band decides to make a slower / softer rock, their voice is just extraordinary, these guys have the true talent, the ability to change between "voices" is out of this world, another example lies in Buried in Verona, Metallica, and many others I hope to get to know. I'd recommend Type O Negative as a listen...They can be very heavy metal, yet many of their songs are very deep, melodic and very well sung, not to mention intensely personal lyrics that speak to nearly every human being. If you like Ghost, I'd say it's a good bet you'll like at least some of Type Os music. :)
Be sure too listen too Uninvited Guest by Disturbed. That's a new song that's so smooth and soft from a metal band. Disturbed has many many songs like that. Seems like The Sound of Silence is the only one getting credit.

I was hearing so much about GHost so I wanted to see and hear what they sounded like. The first song I heard is when I watched the video for Rats. I was hooked . Then I heard all the albums and was blown away GHost Rocks!
St. Louis got the show we in Milwaukee didn't get. They haven't said anything about doing any kind of makes up show yet and doubt they will now. They're really good live :)

To all the people commenting about the crowd. How fucking self-important do you think you are? You have people who were at the actual fucking show telling you the venue (and opera house) didn't physically allow you to get up and dance around. Not to mention this was before the album dropped so this was a first time many folk heard the song. They get pretty damn loud when it's over so it's obvious the audience is enjoying the show. Sheesh...

very true,. I used to do special makeup effects for TV in Vancouver and I know all too well the restraints that any kind of mask or prosthetic face piece can cause. I think the best he got away with this was with Papa III, it seemed to have the least restrictive appliance.

Derick Thomas it’s because the lead singer wears a full face prosthetic mask, also why he occasionally sounds a bit echo-y like singing into a glass. If you look closely at 2:00-2:05 you can see his mouth moving behind the “mouth slit” in the prosthetic.
Their new album seems better than their unusual former releases. They need to write more hits than singing overtones. "Faith" and "Dance Macabre" are the best numbers on Prequelle. "Rats" song sucks including the video. File under: Gothic Rock.

It should also be noted that this is a seated venue so there was no open pit area for people to bunch in together. That makes a huge difference.
