With them tapped out for the Grindstone effect you should have dug first with Frantic Search before untapping your lands and then using them for Cyclonic Rift. Dug early and possibly found what you needed.
Totally understand your philosophy about obeka builds. Personally I think (maybe just for the spirit of commander) the deck should be near full focus on how to use your commander with some back up ways to function without the commander.
Well, I’m not getting hit by Obeka in my sweet spot and those matchups were terrible. If it had been a means to raise my interest in ending turns it was a failed one at that.😅 Still you gave it your best! Enjoying!
I have a huge amount of respect for the artists working at WotC nowadays, but I really miss old school arts. The more goofy and out-there stuff. It really felt like casting mysterious spells.
